Hi ??? I know I post one chapter and then disappeare for few days like a lady ghost (bhootni) ???. But what to do? I wanted to post this the day before yesterday, but my sweet mother made me arrange some of my old stuff and I caught a cold because of dust!! So now here I am ???. Kusum completely ignored his outburst and talked to Sanchi. “Beta, do you know who is the boy that Kabir like?”
Sanchi looked at him and smiled evilly ???. He knew from the creepy smile on her face that she’s up to no good.
“Arre haaaa!!! I know who he likes aunty!!” – Sanchi
“Kaun??? ???” Veer asked excitedly
“Tum!!” Sanchi said happily.
He looked like he saw a ghost ??? and others laughed again ???.
“Kya Veer? You didn’t even tell us!!” Anand joined to the joke.
“What are you saying uncle? I’m his girlfriend and he didn’t even tell me that he wants to be Kabir sir’s boyfriend ???!!!” Pragya too joined.
“Sanchi what is this yaar?? ??? First you started to tease Dr. Kabir and now me too?? Not fair yaar!! ???” Veer whined like a kid.
“Hey don’t blame me!! I never said you like him. I only said he likes you. That’s all!!” Sanchi said laughing ???.
“That’s very funny isn’t it?” Kabir asked while getting up from his seat.
“Uh oh!! Lag gayi lanka!!” Escaped her lips and she ran from there.
“HEY!!” Kabir too ran behind her.
??? others laughed happily at their antics. But only one wasn’t happy. You know who ???.

Outside in the garden, Kabir was chasing Sanchi.
“(Mumbled) Today I’m done for!!…. sir, you’re my senior! How can you chase me like this?” She asked running.
“Achcha! Now you remember I’m your senior!! When you were annoying me, I’m not your senior and when you’re in trouble, I’m your senior. That’s not fair!” He replied running.
“Life isn’t fair you know!” Just as she said that she tripped over a rock and about to fall. As always happens in shows, a strong pair of arms grabbed her by her waist to stop her fall. But unfortunately, both lost balance and fell to the ground, Sanchi on top of Kabir. Sanchi had closed her eyes when she was falling. Now she opened them to find another pair of eyes looking at her. Her saviour, Kabir ???.
She was shocked at first at the position they were in. One of his arms were wrapped around her waist and the other one is placed on her back. Her arms were on his chest and her head is resting on his shoulder, making their faces so close. He didn’t say anything and just stared at her. But she panicked and quickly lifted her head making him snap out of his stare.
“My life just started to treat me fair ???” he mumbled softly. She didn’t hear.
“I’m sorry sir, I might’ve hurt you!! Are you alright?” She asked trying to get up from him. “Ouch!” She yelled in pain and fell on him again. Her hair got tangled with his watch. That’s why she yelled.
“Don’t move, I’ll remove it” he said softly. When he said that, his breath tickled her face making her realize how close she is to him making her blush ???.
He was slowly untangling her hair but when he saw her flustered face, he couldn’t help but to laugh ???.
“Why are you laughing?” She asked cutely with a pout.
“You were teasing me earlier, but now look at you! You’re blushing staying close to me ???” he teased her.
She blushed more. “No! I’m not blushing!! It’s the weather!” She protested.
“Really?” He stopped untangling her hair and pulled her more close to him. Her eyes widened and the blush deepened.
“What are you doing?” She asked flustered.
“Removing your hair from my watch?” He said normally.
“No you’re doing this on purpose!!” – Sanchi
“What?” – Kabir
“I- urgh!! Forget it!! I’m going!!” She started to get up again.
He stopped her. “Don’t! You’ll get hurt!!”
“I don’t care! I’ll shave my head if I have to. I’m going!!” – Sanchi
He made her fall on him again. “Zid math karo! I’m not letting you go like this” he whispered.
“Please sir let me go!” – Sanchi
“Kabir” – Kabir
“Hmm?” – Sanchi
“Don’t call me sir, you can call me kabir” – Kabir
“I-uh can’t.” – Sanchi
“Why not?” – Kabir
“You’re my senior!! I can’t call you by your name!” – Sanchi
“You said I’m not your senior here” – Kabir
“Haa you’re our friend” Sanchi agreed.
“For others I’m their friend, but to you, am I just a friend?” He questioned making his voice husky.
“Wh-wha-what el-else?” She stammered.
“I don’t know…… maybe…. something more??” – Kabir
“N-n-no no! Please let me go!” – Sanchi
“No! Unless you call me by my name, I won’t let you go” – Kabir
“Maa must be looking for me!! (He didn’t budge) someone might see us like this!!” She whined.
“So? I don’t mind. At least they’ll know that I’m not gay like you said earlier ???” he said thoughtfully.
“So you’re taking revenge from me coz I teased you earlier? Is that’s why you’re torturing me?” – Sanchi
He grinned ???. “I’m not torturing you. I’m just asking for something simple. Call me by my name and I’ll let you go!!” He said playfully.
“Kabir….” she whispered.
He just looked at her shocked ???.
“Now let go” she started to wriggle.
He wasn’t letting her go.
“What’re you doing? You said you’d let me go if I call your name!!” – Sanchi
“Yeah I did. But now…. I don’t feel like letting you go!!” – Kabir
“Seriously? What’s wrong with you? Did you hit your head when we fell?” – Sanchi
“I don’t know what’s wrong with me. You tell me!! Why do I always want to stay close to you? Why do I feel restless when I didn’t talk to you at least once a day? Why does my eyes try to find you wherever I go?” He asked her gently.
“I think you have some sort of disease!!” She said trying to make the situation light.
“Maybe…. but-” he was cut off.
“SANCHI!! KABIR!! WHERE ARE YOU TWO??”
“Maa!! Maa’s calling us!! Kabir let’s go!!” She said frantically.
He smiled gently ☺☺☺ “You didn’t realized that you called my name again.”
She was silent. He made her get up. “C’mon let’s go”
Both came to the house.
“Kaha thi tum dono?” Asked Jaya from the door. Kusum was with her too.
“Maa woh hum…” Sanchi thought what to think.
“Garden mein” Kabir replied for her.
“What were you doing in the garden?” Asked Kusum.
“Woh…(she saw a vase) flowers!! Maa we were watching the flowers you grew in the garden. Kabir- I mean Dr. Kabir liked them!!” She said excitedly making Kabir laugh ???.
Sanchi glared at him. He tried to suppressed his laughter and agreed with her. “Yeah! flowers!! They were nice. Even maa grow flowers in our garden. Really aunty, they were BEAUTIFUL!!”
Kusum gave a suspicious look to him. **Yeh Golu ka kya hua? ???**
Jaya noticed Sanchi’s flustered look and smirked ???. “Kabir beta, did you like my orchids?”
Sanchi was shaking her head from behind Jaya. Kabir was puzzled at what she’s trying to say. So he answered, “Yeah they were nice?” uncertainly.
Sanchi hit her own head. Jaya turned to her and smirked ???. Elders went somewhere else leaving the youngsters.
Kabir looked at Sanchi and texted her. “What were you trying to say?”
“Maa got to know!!” – Sanchi
“What?” – Kabir
“That I lied about flowers!! That’s why she asked about orchids!! We don’t have a single orchid plant. Maa only like roses!! I tried to tell you not to say anything about orchids but you didn’t understand!!” She replied back.
“So?” – Kabir
“So what? Maa knows I lied. Don’t know what she might be thinking ???” – Sanchi
“Abae ooo maharaani!! Who’re you texting?” Pragya asked while trying to peek at her phone. Sanchi kept it away. “No one important!” She said with a glare.
Then she looked around. “Where’s Riya?” She asked.
“When you two ran out, she went looking for you. Then suddenly she came back and said that she had some work and going. Didn’t you see her?” – Isha
“No yaar we didn’t see her ???” Sanchi was thinking. **??? Maybe she saw me… and Kabir sir together and…** she remembered the moment she shared with him a few minutes ago ???.
“Don’t know meri pyaaaaaaari behana ko kya hua but I’m glad she’s not here!” – Veer
“VEER!! Don’t say like that!!” Sanchi said sternly.
“Stop it yaar! Why are you always take her side? She do nothing but to insult you whenever she get a chance!!” Garv said angrily.
“She has a reason for that Garv” – Sanchi
“No Sanchi, that’s not a good reason!! What happened then wasn’t your fault!!” – Pragya
“Yeah Sanchi, it’s not your fault. It’s you ex’s fault” – Isha
“Your ex? You had a boyfriend before?” Kabir asked surprised.
Sanchi glared at Isha. “(She turned to her) How many times do I have to tell you that he’s not my ex? You know he was never my boyfriend!! (Then turned to kabir) so what if I had a boyfriend? Why is it so surprising to you? Can’t I have a boyfriend? ???” she asked annoyed. He glared at her.
“Ok ok!! Stop it guys!! Now Sanchi, tell us this boyfriend wala story na. I don’t know anything about it!!” Said Garv.
Sanchi started story telling. “It really isn’t much Garv. Along with Pragya and Isha, riya and I were best friends before. All four of us was thick as thieves. Whatever we did, we did it together. When we were in high school, there was this boy in our section…… (She noticed Kabir listening intently. **You were trying to trouble me earlier weren’t you, meri pyaari khadoos? ??? now see how I make you jealous ???** She thought evilly)…… He was the topper in his class. Not only in studies, he was good at sports too. And his face…. God…. He was the most handsome guy I’ve ever seen!!! He was every girl’s dream!!!” She said dreamily ???.
She stole a glance from Kabir and he was looking completely normal but his hands are turned in to fists.
So she continued with her story. “Riya liked that guy. We thought it was just a crush but turned out she loved him. One day she confessed him. But he laughed to her face and insulted her. We tried to console her. She was sad but we didn’t leave her alone. Few days later she was better. That day the guy came to our table in the cafeteria and confessed that he loves me, in front of Riya…… I still remember the way she looked at me. She thought I betrayed her…… I tried to talk to her. Tell her that I don’t like him. I never did. But she wasn’t ready to listen. She hates me since that day. And I hate that guy for taking away a good friend from me!!” ??? now she’s crying.
Kabir was sitting next to her. Seeing her sad, he kept his jealousy aside and wrapped his arm around her shoulder giving her a side hug, surprising the others. “Talk to her. She’ll understand.” He said.
“No it’s too late. She won’t forgive me!! Not after what happened today!!” She said remembering that Riya might’ve seen her with Kabir.
“Today? What happened today?” Veer asked curiously.
“Nothing! Excuse me……” she whispered and went making others puzzled.
That’s the sad end of a wonderful day ???. I’m telling you guys from experience, if the day passes happily the end is sad and if the day passes sad then the end is happy ???.
……….Few days later……….
Kabir was invited to a medial conference in Geneva. He has to leave tomorrow. Today, there was an accident and he left with Sanchi to treat them. ( the scene in the show, Kanchi went to treat a couple and Sanchi almost fell from a cliff and Kabir save her. But here, she doesn’t fall and he doesn’t save. The scene would be different. They just went to treat them. )
After treating them and sending them to the hospital safely, both were coming back. It’s late night. Kabir was driving. Roads aren’t crowded coz it’s a village type-ish area. In fact you can’t see another vehicle easily. (don’t ask me why they went that far from the hospital. Just bear with it for the story ???)
Duo weren’t talking much. Since that day they were in the garden of Mishra Mansion, she always blush whenever he make eye contact with her. She haven’t been singing too. He was enjoying ??? the reactions she’s giving whenever he’s around, but he miss her songs. No matter how much he was annoyed with her songs, he got so used to it that now he feels like his day is incomplete if he didn’t hear her crazy songs for him.
Since they got in to the car, she was silent. Normally he like silence but now, when she’s silent, he feels suffocated. He looked at her, thinking of a way to start a conversation but she was looking out of the window, lost in thoughts. Giving up the idea he faced the road. Few minutes later, the car came to a sudden stop with a loud noise snapping Sanchi out of her thoughts.
“What happened?” She asked.
He got out of the car without giving her a reply. He looked what happened and he can’t fix it. Looked around to see someone to ask for help but no one was around.
“What happened?” She asked again, getting out of the car.
“Car broke down. Can’t fix it. No one’s around to take help. We should get a taxi” he said simply, trying to get a taxi. There aren’t many. Whenever a taxi came, someone’s in it and that just go without stopping.
“Get your stuff from the car. Let’s walk ahead and see if we can get a way to go home.” He said without looking at her.
She felt like he’s upset with her. She didn’t question him and went to take her bag from the car. He locked the car and started to walk. She followed him thinking what’s wrong with him. Finally she had enough.
“What’s wrong with you, sir?”
“Why? What did I do?” He asked looking straight.
“Why are you behaving like khadoos hitler?” – Sanchi
“Because I AM khadoos hitler?” He answered simply.
She came in front of him and stopped him. “Why are you acting so strange?”
“I’m not the one acting strange! It’s you!!” He said with a raised voice.
She looked at him puzzled.
He just said everything out of frustration. “Ever since that day in garden, you won’t look at me in the eye. You’d always blush and it’s cute to watch. But you stopped all your stupid filmy dialogues and crazy songs. When you treat me as a stranger, it’s unbearable Sanchi. I know I might’ve went too far that day. I shouldn’t have talked to you like that or hold you. I have no right to behave that way. I’m sorry but please don’t be like this. Just forget that day. Erase it from your memory-”
She came closer to him and placed her palm over his mouth, stopping his talks. “Why would I forget? Don’t say sorry. I know I’ve been absent minded lately. But believe me Kabir, it’s not because of you. I swear!!” She sweared.
He looked at her worriedly. “Then what’s bothering you?”
She heaved a sigh. “I can’t tell you right now, Kabir. (Gently smiling) but when you come back, I’ll definitely tell you ???”
“Ok…… Did you realize, you called my name twice” he said with a light smile.
She frowned ???. “Seriously? Why do you want me to call your name this bad?”
“When you call me sir, Kabir sir or Dr. Kabir, it’s like I’m faraway. But when you call me by name, I feel like I’m closer to you even if I’m far” he said turning her frown in to a smile.
“You can’t be Dr. Khadoos!! Who are you and what happened to Dr. Khadoos in SDCH? ???” she asked.
“Believe me, even I don’t know why I’m telling you like this ???” with that they start to walk again.
They were walking side by side. Judging her reactions, he slowly held her hand. She didn’t say anything or look at him but tried to hide the smile that crept to her face.
“Papa told me it was your dream to go to that conference in Geneva.” She said trying to get him to talk.
“Yeah. When I first joined SDCH as an intern, Dr. Sunil was invited for that. When he came back, he told us many things they discussed. Ever since then, I wanted to go for that. I was waiting for it but I didn’t thought I’d get invited. There are many reputed and talented doctors than me. So it was a miracle I got the chance” he talked about his dream fondly.
“If they found a more amazing doctor than you, they won’t invite you” she said sweetly.
“Are you giving me a complement?” He asked in a doubtful way.
“You can take it like that” – Sanchi
“I may have talent, but to go to your dreams, you need luck too.and this happened all because of you. From the first day you came to my life, only good things happen. It’s like you’re my lucky charm ???” he said giving her hand a small squeeze.
“Well then, you have to get me a present from Switzerland!! After all I AM your lucky charm ???” she said excitedly.
“??? ok. What do you want?” – Kabir
“Chocolates!!!” She said like a little girl.
“Chocolates? Seriously??” – Kabir
“Yep!! Swiss chocolates are the best!!” – Sanchi
“Alright then. Anything else?” – Kabir
She shook her head negatively. “Hey you missed my singing right? ??? I remembered a song!! Would you sing with me?”
“Nope” – Kabir
“Aww c’mon!!! I always wanted to sing on the road ??? please…….!! Please please please please….!! You can do this much for your lucky charm!! Otherwise I’ll be unlucky for you!!” Seeing her try to convince him this hard made him laugh.
“??? ok ok stop. I’ll sing with you!!”
“Really??? ??? thank you!!!” She squealed happily. “Let’s start!! Ahem ahemmmm…”

“I’ll tell you when you come back from Geneva” – Sanchi
Before he say anything more, a taxi slowed near them.
“Young man, what happened?” Asked the driver.
“Kaka, our car broke down. Can you drop us at ………. (SDCH hostel address ???)”
He agreed and they got in.
“Beta, you must love your wife a lot to carry her like that” – driver
“We’re not married!!!” Both said at once.
“??? girlfriend then?” – driver
“No. She’s not my girlfriend……yet” he added the yet part softly.
Hearing that, she blushed and turned away but placed her head on his shoulder. He smiled gently and wrapped his arm around her and got her closer.
**When I come back, I have lots of things to tell you. I’ll tell you why I’m so changed around you ???** his thoughts.
**When you come back, I’d tell you everything. Everything I haven’t told you. And how I feel too ???** her thoughts.
Driver uncle watched them from the mirror and smiled.
They reached the hostel. Both got down. Kabir came with Sanchi to the gate.
Our gang was talking in the balcony.
“Abae yaar!! Yeh maharaani kaha hai yaar? Her phone is still unreachable!!” – Pragya
“Don’t worry. She’s with her pyaari khadoos ji ??? she’ll be alright!!” – Isha
“Sanchi aagaya!” – Garv
“San-” Pragya was about to scream. Veer stopped her.
“My darling Pragya, can’t you see those lovebirds are talking? Don’t disturb them. She’ll come na. So wait a bit more”
Riya saw the gang And came to see what they were looking. She saw Kabir and Sanchi together ???.
……….near the gate……….
“Good luck for tomorrow. Have a safe journey!! ??? Bye ???” she waved and turned to go. He held her hand. She looked back.
“When I come back, I want to tell you something. You would listen na?” He asked hopefully.
“Of course I would!! But if you forgot my chocolates, I won’t!!” Her silly reply made him laugh ???.
“I won’t forget!!” He said laughing.
“Good” she opened the gate but this time, she turned back. She looked uncertain for a few seconds, then went to him and hugged him.
The gang + Riya got a shock. Everyone was thinking same thing. **When did they got this close???**
And Kabir…. he got a double shock. Because of the shock, he just stood there like a statue. Sanchi misunderstood his silence and broke the hug. “I’m sorry. I should go now”
Then giving her a shock, he grabbed her hand and pulled her to him. She fell right in to his embrace. “Dont say that. You gave me a shock. That’s why……” He mumbled to her hair hugging her tight. She too hugged him back smiling ???.
