Hey my lovelies ??? How are you? Did you miss me? Ok ok I know all of you’re very angry with me. I said I’ll come back in 14-16 days but now it’s been 25 days ???. You can blame it on my stupid brain. After I finished my exams I took my phone to type but couldn’t think of anything to write!! ??? I’m really sorry about that. And finally when I finished writing this part, I felt like you won’t like it. Anyway just leave it. Many new authors have joined to Kanchi family and I’m welcoming all of you. I k ow it’s late but what to do? I’m posting late na ???. I’m not writing all new authors names coz actually I don’t wanna leave any name out and make you sad. I just wanna say all of you are doing sooooooooooooooo great job giving us so amazing stories about Kanchi which CVs have failed miserably. Keep up your good spirits ???!!! Now enough chit chat. Let’s go to the story.
I’m so damn sure you don’t remember what happened in the last shot so here’s the link for that.
Ok now let’s start. Previously on Soch Na Sake ( Can’t Even Imagine )
“SHUT UP!!” Kabir yelled at her. “You wanted to send me that message tomorrow? When? After something happened to you? How could you decide to leave me like this? You don’t have any right to leave me!! …… (he’s trying to calm himself) …… Sanchi…… why did you hide this from me? Why didn’t you tell me before?” He asked caressing her cheek sincerely.
Her eyes started to glisten seeing him look so broken. “I-l know I sh-should’ve told y-you…… I know I-l was wrong…… (her voice is trembling) …… I know I wa-was being s-so selfish! But I was afraid!! …… (she’s crying softly) …… I was afraid if I told you, you’d stay away from me. I know it’s so selfish!! I should’ve stayed away from you. I knew I won’t live for a long time, but I want to be normal too Kabir!! I wanted to have a normal life. I wanted to love someone, stay happy with him, have a family…. I didn’t want to let you go Kabir, I’m sorry!! ??????” she broke down completely.
Kabir hugged her so tight. He too was crying silently. “Sshhh…” he’s trying to calm her even though he’s break in to pieces from inside.
“Stop it Sanchi…. if you don’t want to leave me, you have to stop crying now…. it’s not good for you” she stopped herself with so much difficulty. He broke the hug and looked at her lovingly. “Remember what I told you before I left? That I have to tell you something? You promised me that you would listen. (He leaned closer making his forehead touch with hers) You can’t break that promise now. You HAVE to get better. Only then I’d tell you. And your stupid chocolates!! I’m not giving them to that Riya!! It’s for you!! Only you!!”
“I’m sorry Kabir..”
“Chup!! Main na… tumhe kuch nahi hone dunga… got that? You have to get better. I won’t let anything happen to you… tumhe kahi nahi jaane dunga…” He placed a lingering kiss on her forehead with so much emotions. She closed her eyes feeling his emotions. After few seconds, he left there.

Suddenly, realizing something Sanchi yelled after Kabir. “Kabir! Kabir!! Kabirrrrrrrr!!”
He came running to see her yelling for him frantically.
“Kya hua Sanchi? What happened?”
“Kabir, you won’t do anything stupid right?”
“Like what?”
“Like Sanam Re”
“Sanam Re….” He was silently trying to understand her emotions through her eyes. She was scared. When he talked with her earlier her eyes held sadness. Not fear. Now she’s scared he’d sacrifice himself for her.
“No I won’t do anything like that”
“Promise me!” She took his hand and placed it on her head.
He looked completely helpless.
“Please Kabir! I know that came to your mind. If you do anything like that I’ll hate you all my life!! Please promise me?”
“I-I promise I won’t do anything like that”
She let out a breath of relief and wrapped her arms around his waist. (Coz he was standing.) Bending down he cupped her cheek and kissed her forehead. Making her lay back on the bed, he came out.
Coming out he met Sunil and Anand. Sunil looked devastated. Anand told him that they couldn’t find heart yet. Kabir walked past him straight to the God’s idol. Closing his eyes he started to pray.
**Bhagwan ji, I know I haven’t come to you for a long time. You know the reason. It’s because you took away my papa’s life. I pled to you not to take him from me. But you didn’t listen. Maybe you hate me. That’s why you’re taking everyone I love from my life. First papa, now Sanchi…… please! Don’t do like this. I can give my heart to her but she’ll hate me if I do that. She made me promise her. Don’t know how she read my mind!! I can’t bear her hatred. I love her. I love her more than my life. Please do something!!**
Sunil came there and patted his shoulder. “Kabir we found a heart. They are bringing it. We’re preparing Sanchi for the surgery right away. Do you want to meet her before that”
Kabir still had his eyes closed and he his hands folded. Tears run down from his closed eyelids. He shook his head to the sides indicating he doesn’t want to meet her. Sunil went away silently.
In Sanchi’s hospital room, Isha and Pragya were preparing her for the surgery.
“Kabir kaha hai?”
“He’ll meet you later beta” Sunil said coming there.
“What? No! I want to see him now!! Or else he’ll do something stupid!! He’ll break the promise!! I wanna see him now papa!”
“Sanchi relax!! He’s here. He’s praying for you”
“Praying? But Kusum aunty said that he-”
“Yes, he never went in front of a God after his father’s death. But now… He went for you Sanchi. To ask for your life!! You have to stay strong ok? Not only for me and maa. Now for him too. Stay strong and come back to us completely fine after the surgery ok?”
She gave a weak smile through her tears.
**Thank you bhagwan ji, thank you!! But she isn’t safe yet!! Please save my Sanchi!! Dont let anything bad happen in her surgery!! If you want take my life. Let her live. What wrong have I done to be this unfortunate? Please save my Sanchi!! She’s my world. Even she doesn’t know that yet. I want to tell her how much I love her. Her dream to have a normal happy family, I want to fulfil her all dreams. She is a innocent lovely girl. She’s your devotee too. How can you take her life? Please don’t take her from me!!**
The light of the operation theatre went off after 3 hours. Dr. Sunil Mishra, Dr. Anand Malhotra and Dr. Veer Malhotra came out. Sunil sat beside Jaya, holding her.
“It was a complicated surgery with Sanchi’s condition. We tried our best” Anand said in scary calm voice.
Veer went to Kabir and kept his arm around his shoulder. He turned to Veer in question.
“Bhai, please control yourself” as Veer was talking, Kabir’s heart was racing with fear of what might’ve happen to Sanchi.
Seeing his fearful expression Veer said everything in one breath. “Now you have a whole life to handle a drama queen bhai…!!! Operation went successful…!!!”
Kabir was in shock. Finally getting what Veer just said he slapped his head hard for scaring him like that. They shared a brotherly hug.
“Thank you Veer!”
“Bhai yeh kya? Aasu? She’ll get conscious in a while and if she see you like this She be upset na”
Some time later, “Sanchi ko khosh aagaya” Pragya yelled.
Kabir thanked god. **Thank you bhagwan ji for listening to my prayers!! I’m indebt to you forever!! Thank you so much for giving me my Sanchi back!!**
Jaya and Sunil were already inside her room. Kabir stopped by the door and looked through the glass of the door. He had relief written all over his face seeing her talk with her parents normally. She caught his eyes, looking at her through the glass. He looked away when he noticed that.
Sunil came out. “Kabir, won’t you talk with her? Come in. She’s asking for you”
“No sir. Let her rest. I’ll talk with her later”
“But kabir-”
Kabir had already turned to go. It confused Sunil why Kabir behaved like that suddenly but he let it go thinking kids should solve their own problems.
On the other hand, Sanchi was sad when her dad said Kabir will come later.
She waited and waited for him to come to see her but he didn’t come. She couldn’t understand what happened. But what she doesn’t know is that when she fell asleep, the person who she was waiting to see came. Yes, Kabir came when she was sleeping. This is what happened for next few days Sanchi was in the hospital. When he come, he sits on the side of the bed staring at her. Sometimes he tucks some of her loose hair strands behind her ears which blocked his view. It’s not that he doesn’t want to talk to her or come in front of her. The problem is that he has few questions in his mind which he has to figure out. So he just try to solve those problems by not letting her see him. Caressing her head, he’ll stay with her around an hour before going home.
Of course she doesn’t know any of it!! She thinks that he doesn’t want to see her and that’s why he isn’t coming. She’s so sad coz there isn’t a single chance for her to see him. When Sunil said that she can get discharged and go home, she refused that confusing everyone. She practically demanded to stay in the hospital. Anyone would think she’s a completely crazy for asking to stay in a hospital rather than going home. But no one knew the actual reason. The reason was even if Kabir doesn’t come to see her, when he pass by her door she’ll get to see him through the glass of her door. She keep staring at the door, just to get a glimpse of him. Poor girl…. feel sad for her.
No one was allowed to tell her about Kabir’s nightly visits. Kabir’s rules. Anyone break them would face the consequences. But her friends couldn’t see her sad day by day. So they told her that he comes to see her when she’s asleep. She scolded them for not telling before. Today she thought to catch him red handded when he come to see her, by pretending to be asleep.
As usual Kabir came to see her and sat on the bed beside her. He didn’t know that she was pretending and caressed her head. Then suddenly a hand came out of nowhere holding his hand. He saw Sanchi open her eyes and realized she was pretending. He got up to leave only to be stopped by her firm grip on his hand. “Why are you going?”
“……”
No reply.
“Why didn’t you come when I’m awake?”
“……”
No reply.
“Why-”
He broke free from her grip and went out.
For next few days she stayed awake to talk to him but got no result. Why? Coz from then Kabir came early in the morning. Around 3 a.m. 4 a.m. (He kept changing his day shifts to night shifts.)
After few more days Sanchi joined back in SDCH recovering completely. Today she was in the class with others. Kabir came there and gave them a long lecture about responsibility (coz some nurse had changed a patient’s report by accident). Then he assigned all interns to their duties.
From the middle of the class Veer stood up.
“Yes Dr. Veer?” – Kabir
“Sir Sanchi has come back” Veer reminded him as if he couldn’t see Sanchi right in front of him.
“Yes Dr. Veer I can see her. Congratulations Dr. Sanchi. It’s good to see you back after a very successful surgery. Now that you had enough rest I hope you’d work as before. But don’t take to much stress” he said so formally. Everyone in the class looked at each other silently wondering what the hell had happened?
“You’re the one who’s giving me stress!” Sanchi mumbled quietly.
“Did you say something Dr. Sanchi?” – Kabir
“No SIR…!!!” She emphasised the last word.
He looked unaffected. “Ok then, class dismissed! Get back to work!” Said in his usual khadoos mode.
For next few day Sanchi tried to talk to Kabir but he ignored her. She tried many things but nothing worked on him.
1st thing she tried…… falling in his arms. (Sheesh!!! Everyone do that!! ???)
When Kabir came from the opposite direction, Sanchi tripped over something imaginary and fell right in to his arms…… ahem ahem…… intentionally!! Being ever the gentleman and his fast reflexes he caught her in his arms protectively and as normal for all the situations like this they had an intense eye lock. Seeing the way he looked at her with love and all she thought her plan worked and he’d talk with her. But luck wast her side. Don’t worry he didn’t drop her to the floor! Breaking the eye lock he made her stand properly on her feet. Then came the interesting part ???.
“Dr. Sanchi!! Can’t you walk properly? Don’t forget you’re in a hospital. What if it was a patient and you fell over them? They will surely die and you’ll end up being a patient yourself!! Use your eyes when walking!!” He yelled at her and went away. His voice didn’t have the coldness he had before Sanchi come here. Anyone who knew him would notice that. And of course!! He had a faint smirk dancing over his lips. Only Veer saw that. **Oh ho!!! Hitler figured out it was her plan!! Shit yaar!! Now we’ll have to think of a different plan!!** he thought to himself.
On the other hand, Sanchi wondered what just happened. She knew he didn’t mean to yell at her so she’d forget that. But the problem was…… She saw in his eyes he wanted to talk with her but still he choose to ignore her. Why?
So moving on to the next plan…… a proposal!!
Now don’t think Sanchi’s gonna propose to Kabir. No that’s not what happened. Right now, Sanchi is in kabirs cabin. Why? Coz Anand asked Kabir and the head intern aka Sanchi to make an important presentation. As you guys know, Sanchi doesn’t mess with work. So she and Kabir made a wonderful presentation together. She tried to talk with him while adding some finishing touches.
“So…… Dr. Kabir…… what do you think about arranged marriages?”
“This topic doesn’t relate to our work”
“But it’s our break tome now. So I can talk about anything! So tell me what do you think about arranged marriages?”
“Nothing particular” he got a glass of water and started to drink.
“Yeah maa ne kaha mere liye ek rishtha aya”
Kabir spat out the water he was drinking. “KYA??”
“Haa… I was thinking to meet the guy. Who knows? Maybe I’ll like him” smiling inwardly at his reaction she said casually closing his laptop.
“Yeah you should meet him” he agreed to her surprise.
Her head snapped to his face. “What?”
“I said you should meet him” he repeated.
“Really Kabir? That’s what you have to say? I should meet that guy?”
“What else should I say?”
She slammed her hand on his table and stood up. “Enough is enough!! There’s a limit for everything!! From the past few days you’re ignoring me!! You didn’t come to see me when I was waiting to see you!! I tolerated everything but in return I get a reply like this!! It’s better if I had died that day!!”
In an instant he was in front of her, pinning her to the table. His one hand was over her mouth and with the other, he was leaning to the table. “Don’t say like that! Ever!!”
She moved his hand. “I don’t know Kabir, I don’t know what to say anymore.” She pushed him away and ran out of his cabin.
That evening, she was crying in her hostel room. Pragya and Isha tried to console her but she was in a bad state.
“I don’t know why he’s being like this!! What did I do? Maybe he doesn’t want me in his life!!”
“Aisa nahi hai Sanchi!”
“I don’t know Isha! I hate myself for thinking like this. But what else should I think?”
She fell asleep crying. From the door, Riya was listening to all this and had an unreadable expression. Next day she went to Kabir’s cabin.
“Good morning Dr. Kabir”
“Good morning Riya. Why are you here this early?”
“I want to talk to you about something”
“Ok what?”
“It’s personal sir”
He thought for awhile. “Ok, go on”
“Its about Sanchi sir. She-”
“I’m sorry Riya but o don’t want to listen to your complaints about Sanchi”
“This isn’t a complaint sir!! It’s important!! You see Sanchi is very sad because you’re ignoring her. She was even crying yesterday. We all know you love her as much as she loves you. So what is this?”
Kabir looked at her like she had horns ???. “Well Riya, I’m surprised to see your concern about Sanchi” he said honestly.
“I know sir. (She gave a sad smile.) Sanchi and I…. we were best friends before. Then somethings happened and I blamed that on her. You maybe know the story. And I did nothing but to hurt her ever since. But she never got angry. She was always there for me. But I didn’t see that. The day before the surgery, she told me the true story. I realized what a fool I was to doubt my friend. I always tried to snatch you from her coz I knew she loved you. I didn’t know about her sickness. No one told me about that. When I got to know that I was shocked. She’s my friend!! Then she told me it was you who told her to talk with me and tell the truth and she asked me to take care of you if anything happened to her. God listened to all our prayers and she came back to us fine. I did many things to hurt her Dr. Kabir. I don’t want to let anything hurt her in the future. Not even you!! So please, whatever the problem is, solve it quickly!!” Saying all that she went.
“Now that was surprising. Who would’ve guessed she’ll change like that? Lekin woh ladki hai na itni achchi. Ok now it’s to much Kabir. You have to stop this and solve this. You’re hurting her”
