Recap: Part 86 – DANGER AHEAD!

Meera comes to Dharam….

Meera: Tomorrow morning we will be back in Mumbai?….Tomorrow night I want to have a small, 1st birthday party for my Princess….And I want your help in that!….
Dharam: Yes Meeru, even I am very excited for her 1st birthday??…..I want to make it a special occasion☺…..Help in what but??….
Meera: Help in teaching her how to blow out her candle…..
Dharam: Ohho Meeru, bas itni si baat?!….

Dharam took out a box of matches and struck 1 match….He held the flaming match in front of Medha: “Baby, save Papa or Papa will get burnt?”…..Medha stared at the match but didn’t do anything…..

Meera: Baby, Papa ki ungli jal jayegi….You blow off the flame….

The flame had eaten most of the stick and Dharam was holding it at the tip, when Medha blew it off…..

DheEra: Good girl??….
Medha: Goo girl?…..
DheEra: ??
Meera: Ouch?!….

Meera held her stomach…..Dharam looking worriedly at her, comes close to her: “Everything ok, Meeru??”…..Meera quickly took Dharam’s hand and placed it on her stomach…..Dharam felt it too….

Dharam: Is that….??…..
Meera: Yes Dharamji!….That’s our baby….He is kicking☺!….

Dharam just held Meera in his arms….Tears of joy were brimming in his eyes…..

Dharam: I am so happy I got to relieve these special moments, that I missed out when you were pregnant with Medha…..

Suryavanshi House

Parag is shown working on his laptop, while Naiya is shown watching photos of DheEra and Medha on her laptop…..

Naiya: Dad, you got to see this one?!….
Parag: What?….
Naiya: Here, see this?!….
Parag: Awww, that’s adorable?….Look at how scared our Medha is of the magicians….

Suddenly, Gaura comes from the kitchen and says: “Show me, show me?”….

Naiya: Mom….Dad….Check this?….Look how she shut her eyes, when snake-charmers were doing their act?…..
Gaura: Awww?!….

Just then, Pinks arrives from the behind and says: “Awww, baby ji is so cute?!”…..

Naiya(In her mind): I forgot he too is here?….
Parag: Where was that?…..
Naiya: Marrakesh in Morocco…..

All resumed back to work, when Naiya asked Parag: “Dad, why can’t he go to Bhai’s house, in Mumbai??”…..

Parag: There is no one….He will feel lonely….It’s better he stays with us till they returns?….
Naiya: Haww?…..(In her mind)…..O Godddd?!…..

Naiya continued glancing at the photos, exclaiming: (In her mind)….”Oh My God!….Bhabhi is pregnant?…..But how come Bhai didn’t say so??…..But it can also be Bhabhi has just put on weight…..But what if….?….No, I will tell THIS NEWS to Pari di and Dhawal?…..

She calls them and tells them THE NEWS…..They gets super happy??…..

Meera: You did what??….
Dharam: Chotti asked to see our photographs….So; I mailed it to her?!….
Meera: How could you??….Dharamji?; you should have asked me f-i-r-s-t??…..

Meera began punching Dharam’s arm….Dharam placed his hand on her shoulder to console her, but she flung it off: “I wanted to see their reaction, when I tell them that I am pregnant…..I wanted to see Mom, Dad and Naiya’s faces, when they see how big I am gone….But now they have already seen it in the photos and I missed their expressions??…..

Dharam tried to suppress his laughter and held Meera to his chest: “Don’t worry Meeru, when you get pregnant after this one, and then after those 2…..YOU CAN CHECK THEIR REACTIONS!….Afterall, we have 8 more coming after Viraat?!….

Meera: If you think I am gonna let you near me after Viraat is born, then YOU got another thing coming?…..
Dharam: Meeru, that sounded like a threat….I DON’T LIKE THREATS?!….

Dharam lifted Meera in his arms and took her to bed, completely ignoring Meera’s warning and kicks??…..

BG: “Unaware to the couple, a storm was nearing them…..Loud, loving, satisfied moans filled the cabin; so much so, that the climatic changes from outside, failed to make it to their ears…..Though Dharam was aware that a tropical-storm was brewing in the skies over the Indian ocean, but the tempest was only supposed to hit, a day after tomorrow…..As in, a day after they did be back home…..Bolts of lightning cracked through the night skies, and an angry roar of thunder followed…..But the thunder was still very much in the distance, so it’s impact never become known to DheEra…..The still, calm waters were becoming vicious…..The now-ferocious waves, crashed against the hull of the yacht, indicating a change in tide…..”

DheEra are shown exhausted after the intense love-making session….They fell asleep in each other’s arms….

BG: “Due to the high-tide, the course that the boat was supposed to take- CHANGED!….The yacht was now, moving towards the storm, instead of away from it….The final destination of Mumbai, was becoming more and more DISTANT!….”

Janko: What??!….
Urmila: Yes Maasi, Vidya just told me over the phone…..
Jeetu: But I just don’t understand why?!….Why did she and Shravan elope, when everyone gave the couple blessings for their marriage??….
Urmila: She just said that they both preferred a small, intimate ceremony and she was not comfortable with the large celebrations, that we were planning for her and Pari!….

BG: “In a temple, ViVaan circled the holy fire, taking their wedding vows, in front of the only guest there- GOD!….”

Yacht

“BOOM”, a loud sound from outside, disturbed DheEra from their slumber…..Dharam quickly dressed and went up on deck to see where the sound originated….

BG: “Though the thunder and lightning part of the storm, was over, but the damage was already done!….Lightning had struck the sail earlier on, and the mast was threatening to fall any minute…..It was already dangling by a thread and was making a loud “BOOM” noise, every time the gale-force winds blew against it…..”

Dharam: Oh no?!….

The torrential rain hammered down with so much force, that the boat was tilting to one side…..Dharam saw that if the mast was to fall, it would fall on the top of the life-raft; which was their only hope for survival right now….He battled undoing the large reef-knots from the rope that fastened the raft to the yacht…..Time is running out, but he is spending too much time in 1 knot…..He moved to another, but there are at least 5 to untangle…..A loud creaking sound is heard and the mast was about to fall on top of him and the raft…..

BG: “The sight of the mast falling, froze Dharam to 1 spot….Making him wait for the inevitable…..”

In a swift motion, Meera grabbed Dharam’s arm and pulled him out of harm’s way: “What’s wrong with you Dharamji??…..Didn’t you see that THING coming down on you??…..Why didn’t you move?….Why were you standing like a statue??…..I have never, EVER seen you like this…..You are scaring me?!….Talk to me Dharamji”……Dharam clenched his fingers into a fist and punched it into the wooden panels: “This was not supposed to happen…..It wasn’t supposed to end like this!”….Continuously, he pounded his fist into the woods…..Angrily Meera pulled him away and shouted: “STOP IT DHARAMJI, and would you please say CLEARLY what’s going on??”……

Dharam: Meeru, the mast fell….The sail is damaged…..It won’t be long before the “roof” caves in….Then rain will enter and boat will fill with water and sink…..We have moved further into the Indian Ocean…..Our only means of getting home was the life-raft, but that’s destroyed now?…..

Meera held Dharam by his shoulders and shook him: “Are you saying, we are going to die?”…..Before he could answer, Medha began crying and Meera ran to get her…..She passed the baby to Dharam and started to radio in for help…..

BG: “Unfortunately, due to the storm, there was NO SIGNAL……Meera took her cell, but again there was NO CONNECTION…..”

Meera was starting to have panic-attack, when Dharam decided to take charge of the situation….He held her and kissed her on her forehead: “Meeru, we have to swim!”…..

Meera: NO??…..
Dharam: We have no other option….

Meera put her hand over her stomach: “And Viraat??”…..

Dharam: If we are meant to have him- THEN HE WILL BE JUST FINE!….
Meera: Medha?…..Dharamji, you know she doesn’t like getting her feet wet and she especially dislikes cold water…..How are we going to get HER to safety?….
Dharam: You don’t worry Meeru, I have got her!….
Meera: I don’t like this Dharamji?….
Dharam: Neither do I….But we got NO OTHER CHOICE Meeru….Now let’s get moving!….We haven’t got time to waste!….

Meera changed into a navy track-suit, while Dharam tried 1 final time to SOS for help….It was a futile attempt though!….Medha remained calm in Dharam’s arms, while he looked through the binoculars and studied the compass…..He pointed out a direction and announced: “That’s GOA, that’s the closest LAND….We need to go in that direction”…..Meera nodded as she helped him button his shirt, because Medha refused to let go of her father…..She strapped the baby on to Dharam’s chest: “Is it too tight?”…..

Dharam: No, it’s fine!….
Meera: Promise me-You BOTH will come back to me….
Dharam: I promise!….

Meera pulled out the amulet that Roopa tied on her arm and it onto Dharam’s: “God, will keep you BOTH safe!”……She kissed Medha and was about to kiss Dharam, when; “Pihu!”, Medha called out…..The child wanted her beloved teddy, PINKOO, with her….

Meera: Baby, Papa will get you another one, ok?….
Medha: Pihu!….
Dharam: Meeru, bring it for her…..
Meera: But how will you manage?….
Dharam: I will!….

Meera filled the bear into the carrier that was holding Medha…..Medha was thrilled to have her “friend” with her and kept touching it’s paws…..

Dharam: You ready?….
Meera: Yes!….I love you….
Dharam: I love you too….

Dharam fastened a FLOATING RING around Meera’s waist: “It will keep your head above water!”…..Due to the weight of the mast, the roof caved in…..Interrupting DheEra’s final kiss- goodbye…..Both jumped into the icy-water thereafter!….

BG: “Medha screamed the moment she got wet; and cried all the time that they remained in the water…..As Dharam had told Meera not to wait for them and move ahead, she did exactly that…..Hours passed by in the water, Dharam was exhausted; battling to swim against the current…..Day broke, and Dharam had somewhere- LOST CONSCIOUSNESS…..When Dharam opened his eyes, he saw himself on land….He had no idea how he was washed ashore, but was grateful for it…..Medha was not moving, neither was she breathing…..”

Dharam unstrapped the carrier and laid her on the sand and began performing CPR on her: “Come on sweetheart, you gotta breathe for Papa”……He kept saying after blowing into her mouth and pumping her chest…..

A group of people gathered around Dharam, when they saw what was happening…..

Dharam: Come on baby, your Papa is dying to hear your voice….Please baby, please breathe…..I can’t lose you!….

Dharam pressed against her sternum, but there was no sign of life in the child…..The area around her mouth was blackish and her face and body was turning blue….Despite this, Dharam continued administering CPR…..

Someone: I think, SHE IS GONE!….

Dharam clutched the child to his chest, tears flowed down his face: “No, you can’t leave me???!!”…..

Meera: Dharamji’s?….
Shivu: ???What?!….Our “relationship” never got to THAT LEVEL…..And anyways, I wouldn’t have done THAT, before marriage….
