Recap: Part 84 and 85 – SPECIAL MOMENT FOR DHEERA!

Yacht

Meera comes to Dharam….

Meera: What happened Dharamji??….
Dharam: Meeru, there is a pirates-ship coming straight towards us?!…
Meera: What are we going to do??….

Dharam cupped Meera’s face: “Meeru, as long as I am here nothing will happen?!…But I need you to do something for me”….

Meera: Yes!…
Dharam: I need you to radio in for help!…
Meera: But Dharamji….?
Dharam: I taught you how to radio the coast guard, just do it!…Say that we are in the Red-Sea, a pirate ship is coming towards us from the Gulf of Aden….They need to send help, URGENTLY!….
Meera: Okay, I can do it?!….

Dharam hugged her tightly: “And one more thing- PROMISE ME….No matter what happens, you and Medha remain deck; in the cabin….Lock yourself inside there, whether you hear screaming or gunshots- YOU WILL NOT COME OUT!”….

Meera: I love you Dharamji??!…
Dharam: I love you too Meeru, now go fast!….

Meera goes from there and immediately radioed in to the coast guard, and luckily enough, it got on the first try….

BG: “After getting the exact location from Meera, help was despatched….But the question was- WILL THEY GET THERE IN TIME?….”

Meera locked herself and a sleeping Medha in the cabin….Meera prays for their safety and hoped Medha; would not wake up….

Dharam could not turn the boat around, there was not enough time for that….Instead, he just put the dead spot on the yacht…..The pirate ship was within minutes; next to DHEERA FOREVER and 4 men jumped onto the yacht as if they owned it….

The leader, a ghastly looking character, asked Dharam something in an unknown language….When Dharam didn’t answer he asked: “You know English?”….

Dharam: Yes!…
He: You American?….
Dharam: I am Indian….
He: You alone?….
Dharam: Yes I am alone….

Inside the Cabin

Medha’s eyes opened and the moment she saw her mother, she asked: “Papa?”….

Meera: Ssshhh, Papa will come just now?!….
Medha: Papa??….
Meera: Baby, Papa is coming, ok!….

Meera put a pacifier? in Medha’s mouth to keep her silent, but she pulled it out….Medha wanted her father; and THAT WAS THAT!….

Outside the Cabin

The 4 men spoke something amongst themselves, in their native language and after a bit of discussion, 1 took out a gun? and poked it in Dharam’s back: “You have to come with us!”….

Just then, they hears Medha loudly calling out to Dharam: “PAPA”…..Dharam squeezed his eyes shut in dread….The leader of the pack, kicked Dharam in the stomach: “YOU LIED TO US?!”…..He motioned one of his men to go below into the cabin….Dharam freed himself and pushed the second guy: “It’s my daughter, she’s only a baby….Leave her where she is!”….A gun? was pointed in his face but Dharam still screamed out: “Meera, don’t OPEN THE DOOR!….Dharam received another blow in his abdomen, which dropped him to his knees….

Pirate-Leader: Come out!….Come out or I shoot him?!….

Another men went to the cabin and began pounding on the door: “OPEN DOOR, OR VEE KEEL HIM!” (Saying in a very bad English?)….

Inside the Cabin

Meera couldn’t let anything happen to Dharam….Despite promising him that she’d not open the door, SHE DID!…She carried Medha and walked to where Dharam and others were, while one of them; walked behind her….

Outside the Cabin

Meera is shown in shorts and a fully zipped-up jacket….The pirates sees her with lustful eyes, with 1 guy even licking his eyes….On seeing the ugly foursome, Medha howled non-stop, out of fear….With tear-filled eyes, Meera looked to Dharam for reassurance….

Dharam: You want money….I will give you….Just let my family and I go!…
Pirate-Leader: ONLY I DO TALKING?!….How much will you give us?….Can you give us 1 million dollars?….
Dharam: Yes!….
Pirate-Leader: You give us money, we leave you and baby…..BUT WE WANT “HER”??!….

Dharam punched the leader, but the cocking of guns? were heard and the other 3 pointed their guns? at Medha and Meera; and Dharam had to back down….

A shot was heard and one man fell….INJURED!….Everyone turned to look, who fired the shot….3 Speed boats are shown coming towards Dharam’s yacht….Through the loud speaker, someone announced: “THIS IS THE UNITED NATIONS COAST-GUARD, DROP YOUR WEAPONS!”….The 3 armed men had to drop their guns, when they saw red-lasers being pointed on them….

Meera ran to Dharam, who hugged them in relief….The coast-guards boarded Dharam’s yacht and hand-cuffed the 4 pirates; and took them away in their own boat?!….2 Coast-guards remained behind, to tend to the medical needs of the family….

BG: “Fortunately Dharam had no fractured bones or ribs, just bruises on his stomach….A female C/G examined Meera and Medha….”

C/G: Mr Suryavanshi, your daughter is in shock, I have given her a mild sedative; it will calm her?!….Luckily, she is still very small, she will not remember this incident….After a few sleeps, she will be back to normal?….
Dharam: Thank you….My wife??….
C/G: Mrs Suryavanshi, is severely traumatized; but I am unable to prescribe any medicine, as she is pregnant….
2nd C/G: Mr Suryavanshi, if you don’t mind; can I give you some advice??….
Dharam: Yes!…
2nd C/G: You said that you are headed to India after this; my suggestion is….You take your family to the Maldives….The island is a 3 day sail from here, just go there….UNWIND & RELAX….It will help all 3 of you to get over this horrific experience?….
Dharam: Yes it’s a great idea….Thank you so much?….

BG: “As expected, Medha was petrified for 2 day’s and talked in inaudible whispers….But, by the time; the family reached Maldives- she was back to normal; forgetting all about the 4 “ogres” she saw….”

DheEra’s Suite

Dharam: How are you feeling now Meeru?….
Meera: ?
Dharam: I am sorry?!…
Meera: Dharamji, how many times are you going to apologize?….
Dharam: Till you forgive me?….
Meera: There is NOTHING to forgive Dharamji….You, obviously; did not plan our encounter with pirates….
Dharam: But….
Meera: No but Dharamji?…..Can I call home??….
Dharam: Hmmm!….

Meera proceeded to make the call….

Dharam: What happened Meeru??….
Meera: Dharamji, you will never believe what Mom told me!….
Dharam: What’s it?….
Meera: Dhawal has decided to join his Dad in business and will go to London after Di’s wedding?….He wants to make a name for himself, so that in 2 yrs time, he can ask you for Naiya’s hand in marriage, HIMSELF!….
Dharam: OH, so he finally grew some guts?!….
Meera: You know- THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT….My poor brother has to suffer, because of YOU?!….
Dharam: Your brother is not “poor” and anyways; it’s time he earns his own living!….If he succeeds, I will happily permit him to marry Chotti….
Meera: Not “IF” Dharamji; “WHEN”!….When he succeeds, he WILL marry Naiya☺!….
Dharam: So, it’s that ALL the news Urmila Mom gave you??….
Meera: No!….Vidya is back home!….

Meera: Yeah, she got discharged 6 weeks ago and she’s at home….Mom says she is perfectly alright now and Dadi is even thinking about getting her and Shravan married…..

Meera: I, your WIFE, mother of your 2 children!….
Dharam: 1 Child Meeru, because the other 1; you’re keeping all to yourself?!….

BG: “The week long stay was, very quickly- OVER!….DheEra said goodbye to the soft, white sands and sun-kissed beaches; not to forget the verdant, lush greenery….The place was the ideal, relaxation spot….Perfect destination to end of their adventures honeymoon…..In the next 3 days, they will be back in Mumbai….Home-sweet-home!….And Meera was most excited as she wanted to share her pregnancy news with her family….As she wanted to tell them personally….”

Dharam: No baby, you can’t “goo” in the water…..Remember, when Papa put baby’s toes in the pool, then baby didn’t limed the cold water….Even your Mamma and I can’t swim there, the water is too cold and deep….We will get drowned and we don’t want THAT; do we?…..

BG: “Dharam lovingly explained to his daughter; little did he know- a tempest was brewing on the horizon; 1 that would force him and his family…..TO SWIM FOR THEIR LIVES!….”
