Sneha Namanandi on making her daily soap debut with Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2; says, “I don’t differentiate between television and films”

Sneha Namanandi who is super excited about her daily soap debut with Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 talks about it in a recent interview with BT and shares, “I auditioned for the role of Shivina and got a call saying I was finalized within just two days. I’ve done episodic shows in the past, but this is my first daily soap and I am so glad to be a part of it.”

Sneha who has been featured in a number of films now wants to focus on television. When asked if there was a reason behind shifting mediums, she says, “I was always open to working in different mediums. I have done films in the South and also a couple of web shows, but I didn’t try hard enough for TV until now. When this opportunity came my way rather unexpectedly, I was more than happy to get on board. I was cast just two days before the shoot,”

Talking about her previous shows Gumrah and Halla Bol and how she plans to manage work in a daily soap now, she shares,  “Those were episodic roles and I was required for just an episode or two, so it took time for me to adjust working in a daily soap, which is a totally different ball game. When I started shooting for Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, I wasn’t able to adjust my diet and gym around the schedule. The shoot timings were different every day, but now that it’s been a month, I am able to understand and get into the groove of things. Now, I am managing my schedule much better and understanding how television works,”

She further adds, “There were people who advised me not to do TV because later I won’t get films. Some even said, ‘You are made for films and the big screen’. People say a lot of things, I get a lot of unnecessary suggestions. But today, every actor is working in different mediums and the content on television has changed a lot in recent years. I don’t differentiate between television and films. I feel an actor is meant to act, no matter what the medium is.”
