SURPANKHA’S DESIRE-
Sita says,”Lakshman, let it be. It’s not the first time demons are attacking us. And this time our action was enough to frighten the demons so that they don’t attack again.”
Alien looks from behind a tree and smirks. “It’s just the beginning foolish lady, now see what’ll happen next.”
In Lanka
Surpankha is talking Ravan.
“Bhaiyya even I want to accompany your army camp to Dandaka forest near Panchvati this time. I’m fed up of living in this palace.”
“I’ve told you so many times that’s impossible!” Ravan shouts. Surpankha starts crying. Ravan sighs and says,”Ok but my army will always be with you. You can go to Dandakaranya with my army camp. And no more requests now.”
“Yes,” Surpankha said grinning evilly.
After a week
Two sages along with some people come to Ram’s hut and say,”Raghupati, those demons and awkward creatures have attacked again and are making every effort to ruin the rituals we’re performing. Their tyranny isn’t ceasing.”
Lakshman picks up his bow and says to Ram,”Bhaiyya, you had also gone in the morning, so this time let me go, you must be tired.”
“But-” Ram mumbles.
“That means you don’t trust me?” Lakshman says frowning.
“Nothing like that, Lakhan,” Ram says smiling. “I was just saying that because I was concerned.”
“Then remove your worries and see what I do to those demons and alenis.”
“Aliens,” Urmila corrects Lakshman.
“Whatever,” Lakshman says rolling his eyes.
He’s about to leave while a big vulture jumps in between.
“How could you all forget me?” He says.
“Jatayu!” Ram exclaims and goes near him. “Where were you from about a week?”
“Actually I thought to find from where those demons who’re attacking us come,” Jatayu says. “And I got to know that all has been done by Ravan and his demon camp in Dandaka forest.”
“Ravan?” Sita says her eyes widening as she recalled the cruel demon trying to pull the Shiv bow in her swayamwar.
“Yes Mata,” Jatayu says. “Ravan.”
Flashback-
Ram, Lakshman, Sita and Urmila are returning to Panchvati from a sage’s hermitage while they find Jatayu. Ram says,”Such a big creature? He must be some demon.” He aims his bow at the vulture who joins his hands and says,”No Raghupati.. I’m neither a demon nor I will to harm any of you. I’m Maharaj Dashrath’s friend, Jatayu.”
Ram keeps his bow back and says,”Jatayu?”
“Yes,” Jatayu says. “I am here to help you and also protect you. I used to be a very close friend of Dashrath. I had also helped him in his fight against demons.”
Ram smiles as he recalls the tale told to him by Dashratha and hugs Jatayu.
Flashback over.
Lakshman says,”Bhaiyya now Jatayu kaka has also come lets go together and teach some lessons to those silly creatures.” Ram nods and both leave.
Surpankha stealthily gets out of the army camp and sees Ram and Lakshman fighting with demons bravely. She gets taken aback by Ram’s bravery, fighting skills and radiance. She smiles seeing him and says,”So this is Ram!” The demon army chief comes out and sees her. He says,”Princess, this place isn’t safe for you. Come back with me to army camp.” Surpankha says,”No, I want to stay here and see this fight for some more time.” She turns back to Ram but army chief repeats his words and requests her to come back. An arrow comes in that direction and Surpankha bends to prevent getting hurt. She says,”I can protect myself don’t disturb me and don’t worry about me. Go away and leave me alone.”
Army chief says,”Lankapati won’t spare me if I leave you alone here.” Surpankha gets frustrated and elongates her nails.
She looks at demon army chief in anger. He joins his hands and says,”Sorry princess but I was saying for your well-being.” Surpankha says,”I’m Ravan’s sister, I can protect myself. You don’t need to care about me. If your life is dear to you, then go away or my nails will-”
The demon army chief gets terrified seeing Surpankha in anger and runs away.
Surpankha turns to Ram and evilly says,”Now you’re only mine!”
Sita and Urmila are waiting for Ram and Lakshman. They ask Jatayu to see if they’re returning. Jatayu flies up and sees them coming back. He gets down and informs Sita and Urmila of their arrival. They arrange the food plates for them. Surpankha is following Ram and Lakshman stealthily. Sita hugs Ram as he returns. Surpankha says,”Who’s this ugly lady?”
Sita and Urmila serve food to Ram and Lakshman. Lakshman eats and says,”Bhabhi, all we need after a fight is your food.” Ram nods and says,”The love you put in this food gives us the energy to fight.” Sita says,”It’s your love swami which compels me to add love to all I make.”
Surpankha changes herself to a very beautiful lady and says,”Now you won’t be able to stay away from me Ram!”
Demon army chief says,”Day by day our army is decreasing.” Boota Zora says,”Yes, those two warriors are very brave.”
Demon chief looks around and says,”Where’s princess Surpankha? Didn’t she come back with you?”
“But I didn’t see her anywhere,” Boota Zora replies.
“Oh no,” Demon chief shouts. “She didn’t listen to me and now we don’t know where she went! Go, find her or we shall face Lankapati’s wrath!”
Surpankha is about to go to Ram’s hut while Boota Zora stops her. Surpankha gets shocked to see the latter and says,”Wh-What are you doing-g here?”
“I’m not doing anything, but first you tell what’s going on.”
Surpankha says,”N-Nothing. Actuall-y I lost the wa-ay.”
“Then why did you get ready so beautifully?” Boota Zora questions suspiciously.
“It’s my body, my wish to get ready. Don’t-t ask so many questions or I’ll kill you,” Surpankha says irritated. “Now come lets go to army camp.”
Urmila is wandering around tensed. Lakshman says,”What happened?” Urmila says,”I’m feeling afraid, you remember how the sindoor had fallen on our anniversary day? Don’t know why I’m having intuition that something is going to be wrong.”
Lakshman jokingly says,”If that’s the case, maybe a very beautiful lady will come in front of me and mesmerize me, and I’ll marry her.”
“What? You’ll marry another lady?” Urmila says almost crying.
“Yes, if the last is more beautiful than you,” Lakshman says chuckling.
“That means you don’t love me?” Urmila asks sadly.
“No,”Lakshman says. “You’re mistaken. You don’t get the sense of my words. I said that I’ll marry some lady more beautiful than you. But I don’t think that anyone more beautiful than you exists.”
Urmila stares Lakshman for a moment and then turns away. “This wasn’t a matter to joke.”
“This is unfair. If you don’t let me joke with you, I’ll fetch another wife to fight with me,” Lakshman says laughing.
This is enough to infuriate Urmila who shouts,”I’ll kill both of you.”
Lakshman says,”Then bhaiyya will have no other option than to punish you.”
Urmila says,”You want to punish me, now see what I do.” She pulls Lakshman’s bow and breaks it into three pieces. Sita and Ram come there to see what happened and conclude everything seeing the broken pieces. They break into peals of laughter. Urmila throws the bow pieces at Lakshman and goes in the hut.
“What did you do now Lakshman?” Ram asks almost laughing.
Lakshman says,”This girl is out of my understanding.”
“Lakshman, she won’t tolerate you talking like that,” Sita says.
“But she didn’t understand that I was joking,” Lakshman says innocently.”Now I’ll have to do something.” He goes in the hut.
“They’re so cute,” Sita says smiling.
“And I?” Ram says hugging Sita from the back.
Sita looks at him and pulls his cheek. “You’re super cute.”
“You served everyone but didn’t eat yourself, right?” Ram says caressing her hair. “Wait, I’ll feed you otherwise you’ll not eat anything. You everytime help everyone and keep their care but you never look at yourself.” He brings a palm leaf filled with food and feeds Sita with his hands.
