Simba Nagpal Takes on a Pivotal Role in ‘Barsatein – Mausam Pyar Ka’
Rumors surrounding Simba Nagpal’s involvement as the male lead in Rashmi Sharma’s ‘Aaena’ can now be put to rest, as it’s confirmed that he won’t be a part of the show. Instead, the talented actor, known for his role in ‘Naagin 6,’ has been chosen to play the parallel lead in Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Barsatein – Mausam Pyar Ka.’ Nagpal is set to join the show, where he will share the screen with lead actors Shivangi Joshi and Kushal Tandon.
According to a source closely associated with the production, “Simba has been cast as the parallel lead in ‘Barsatein.’ His character, Dev, epitomizes the ideal man every girl dreams of. Dev will provide unwavering support to Aradhna, portrayed by Shivangi Joshi, catalyzing a significant twist in the storyline.”
Simba Nagpal gained recognition for his role as Virat Singh in ‘Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki,’ which marked his debut in the world of Hindi television. Notably, he also participated in the 15th season of ‘Bigg Boss.’ When discussing his artistic preferences, Nagpal revealed in a previous interview, “I’ve turned down numerous leading roles in TV shows because they didn’t offer substantial depth. I’m drawn to challenging and meaningful characters, whether they are leads or not. Moreover, I’m open to diverse mediums, depending on the intriguing nature of the role. I have a special inclination towards OTT platforms, as the type of characters I aspire to portray are predominantly found in web series. Personally, I enjoy consuming OTT content. Instead of aiming for mass appeal, I want to entertain the audience that resonates with my choices. Nevertheless, I remain open to daily soap operas, but the character must stand out. Fiction shows are my forte, and I’ll never take a break from them because that’s my unique selling point.”
