Rumor mills have been abuzz that Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega fame Shweta Mahadik has been roped in for the tv show Sasural Simar Ka 2. Shweta however in an interview with BT talked about it and shared that nothing is confirmed yet. Shweta shared, “Nothing is finalized. I haven’t signed the contract yet. Thus, I can’t confidently say that I am doing the show. I would love to be a part of the show though.”
Shweta, who was last seen doing Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega quit the show after being part of it for two years. Earlier, in an interview with ETimes, she shared, ” I was a part of the show for a good two years and even more than that. This show has given me a lot and I’ll be forever grateful to it. But now, I would like to explore new avenues. And thus, I decided to quit the show. I didn’t have any issues with the leap. Otherwise, I would not have been a part of it in the first place. In fact, after the leap, I feel my character got a complete makeover. I just wanted to try new things in my career and that’s why I decided to move on,”
The actress was tested positive for Covid in December. She hasn’t taken up any new project since then. “I am waiting for something exciting and new to be a part of,” she shared.
