Shoaib Ibrahim, who is all set to make his television comeback with Star Bharat’s new launch ‘Ajooni” is elated with the reaction he is receiving for the promo of the show. The actor talked about it during a recent interview with India Forums and shared that his wife Dipika is her biggest critic.
He said, ”I did my last show in 2019. After which 2 years were spent in lockdown due to covid. On 25th July 2021 when I was shooting in Delhi, I came to know that both my Mother and my Grandmother were hospitalized. When I reached to see them, my Father suffered from a brain stroke. After which, I decided to take a break to spend time with my family. I would straight away refuse anything that came my way because my family needed me. I am a person who always owns up to his failures in the same way as I own up to my success. With us actors, there are times when we like a certain role and it does not work for us and vice versa. Last year around November or December I started considering things again. I’ve always believed in one thing and that is when something is meant for you, the universe will give it to you no matter what. When I heard the story and my character for Ajooni, I gave it a thought. Things worked out and here I am as Rajveer in front of all of you.”
When asked about his wife Dipika’s reaction to the promo, he replied, ”She really criticizes me a lot. I don’t think anyone in my life criticizes me as much as Dipika does (giggles.) She really liked the promo. As she mentioned in the vlog, She found our contrast (his and ayushi’s) very interesting. However, in the end, she said one last line. She said that this is just a promo and that she will give her real feedback when she sees the show. Honestly, she is very happy for me. People often ask us when will Dipika resume TV shows and she says she wants her time. She really enjoys cooking for me before I leave for work, sending me lunch on sets. She really enjoys this.”
Shoaib Ibrahim and Ayushi Khurrana’s show ‘Ajooni’ went on air on Monday 25th July on Star Bharat and has been garnering a lot of love from the fans.
