Shoaib Ibrahim opens up on Ajooni going off-air

In a surprising revelation, Shoaib Ibrahim has shared on his new YouTube video that his long-running television drama, Ajooni, is going off the air. The show, having recently celebrated its 300th episode milestone, has experienced an abrupt and unforeseen end, leaving Shoaib and the entire cast in shock. Despite the absence of an official announcement from the production house, signs point toward this unexpected decision.

Reflecting on the sudden turn of events, Shoaib conveyed, “Life’s twists, ironies, and unexpected occurrences are fascinating. In this vlog, I captured the celebration of Ajooni’s 300 episodes, yet we’re now hearing whispers that the show is concluding. Although official confirmation is pending from the production house, there’s a prevailing sense that this might indeed be the case. It’s truly shocking for all of us. I was in the midst of preparing to return to the sets on the 7th of August. I had plans to adjust my diet and was discussing logistics with Dipika regarding the upcoming schedule.”

Dipika Kakar, Shoaib’s wife, chimed in, shedding light on the recent conversations and discussions they had surrounding the show’s demands. She shared, “He was in talks with Tapan Ji about managing his commitments. Shoaib was explaining that due to Dipika’s birthday, Ruhaan’s vaccination, and other commitments, he wouldn’t be able to manage certain aspects. All these discussions were in progress. Yet, the next day brought about a sudden change. Such is the nature of the television industry. Decisions can materialize overnight, driven by considerations of viewership and other factors. This phenomenon isn’t exclusive to television but extends to various businesses. Nonetheless, it’s alright. Every journey has its conclusion. What matters is that his journey was fulfilling.”

Shoaib concurred with his wife’s sentiments, remarking, “Regardless of its duration, the journey was enriching and rewarding. The show has been a source of immense learning and growth for me. If we do end up filming now, it would likely be for a day or two, given that we have a backlog of banked episodes.”

Dipika, who gained prominence through her role in Sasural Simar Ka, fondly reminisced about the show’s impact on its viewers. She recounted an incident from their trip to Dubai last year, where numerous fans approached Shoaib to express their admiration for the show.

Shoaib, who recently embraced fatherhood with the birth of his son in June, had previously expressed his desire to step away from the show to prioritize his family. His wish to dedicate time to Dipika and their newborn had prompted discussions with the channel, leading to adjustments in his schedule to accommodate his planned leaves.
