Shivya Pathania who is known for essaying the role of Parvati in Baal Shiv has now aced the extraordinary by essaying 21 different roops of Devi in her show Baal Shiv.
Along with essaying the role of 10 Mahavidya, she also played the 15 Roops of Devi Parvati. IT was a hectic schedule for the actress where she was doing three different avatars every day.
Shivya talked about it during a recent interview with BT and shared, “It was surely a challenge but a good one at that. Changing yourself to mold in various roles is what acting is all about but when one role demands so many faces, the actor has to up their game. I had a lot of fun while emulating these avatars of the Devi. I feel as an actor, the quality of versatility is a blessing. I hope the people appreciate my efforts and enjoy them thoroughly.”
Earlier in an interview with ETimes TV, the actress revealed that she was brutally trolled during her debut show and was on the verge of quitting it. Recalling the incident the actress shared, “I am from Himachal and my body couldn’t take the heat. I had swollen up. My face, my legs had all swollen up. So when my promo was shot and in my entry scene I was looking like a football. People trolled so badly. I cried the entire night. Then an assistant director gave me Madhuri Dixit’s example. She told me, ‘You know when Madhuri entered the industry, she had a lot of pimples. But people liked her performance and didn’t judge her by her face.’ That motivated me a lot. So now, I just don’t bother about trolls.”
