anika (Mahira Khan) belongs to a small locality in Hyderabad, and lives with her mother meena (Saba Faisal). meena’s brother tej (Behroze Sabzwari , he is a cousin ) is wealthy and is married to swetlana (Atiqa Odho); they have a son named shivaay (Fawad Khan). MEENA was a pure soul who has been suffering with cancer and doctors inform her that she will die soon, meena seeks her brother’s help in arranging anika’s marriage. To compensate for not taking better care of anika, tej promises that shivaay will marryanika . This irks nia, who has always wanted shivaay to marry his cousin Sara (Naveen Waqar), the daughter of nia’s sister. In spite of their reluctance, shivaay and anika are married moments before Meena passes away. Sara, who is in love with shivaay, is heartbroken upon learning this and attempts suicide. Both shivaay and anika are aloof towards each other and feel uncomfortable in the forced marriage.
shivaay still promises anika that he will attempt to maintain a stable relationship. anika feels that by marrying a man who is financially superior, she has lost her self-respect. Gradually, the duo fall deeply in love with each other. shivaay admires anika’s innocence, simplicity and purity of heart; his admiration is reciprocated by anika, who is in awe of his caring personality. While he develops a strong and loving relationship with his wife, shivaay remains friends with Sara. When she humiliates anika, shivaay reprimands her for her callousness. Soon, tej becomes ill and on his death-bed, he reminds his son that it is important for him to always look after anika

she is sitting in a car , seems she is travelling for a long journey . she is having a small 6 years girl who is laid in her lap she is waffling her fingers in hr head , the beautiful angel with her is having a beautiful smile . she pecked her forehead . BEEP . her phone vibrated indiacating a message in her phone . she opened it and saw a message .

the couple went down in hall , where sara was too their . she smiled at them , fammily was having breakfast and anika was serving . she served and sat the seat adjacent to shivaay . mobile phone rang and it took seconds for anika to get back . she was shocked , her mother , whom she love the most , whom she adire the most is no more , she cried her heart out . she was in pain , definately! but not alone , she was having her life partner to be consoled by . she hugged him and let her pain be emitted .
her last rituals and funerals were done .. the time was a tough one for anika , but this bought shivika close . her each and every habbit and act was admiring for shivaay . soon anika was covering up ..
a newly married girl , she smiled seeing her fresh vermillion and red , gold plated bangles ( choora ) , she smiled , a man enters the rom , he smiled at her wifes cute acts , when daily after taking bath , she exects him to sdorn her nuptial ( mangalsutra) around her neck . he came and said ” u look beautiful anika ” to which she blushed and murmured a soft THANK YOU .. the love was slowly -slowly blooming in their lifes .
finaly it was shivaay’s birthday and anika was so happy , she was ready that she is going to confront her love to him . she blushed at her thoughts when a man hugged her from bac , she turned lok in her eyes and wished ” happy birthday ” , he siled and whispered ” may in thank u , ” she was confused ?? he cleared his throat and said ” may i kiss you ” anika widened her eys but before she could say , shivaay kissed her , a soft one , anika participated equally. it was a passionatd and lasted for long .

the angel in he lap turned and so anika eyes twitched and she got up . she carressed her hairs , a smile was on her lips , which soon turned into a cry her eyes wellled up . one was sure she is gonna cry miserably . when she reminces an angel’s word .

a lady was kelled down , she was having a file in her hands she cupped a girls hand and was in delima , ” HOW COULD GOD LET A POOR SOUL SUFFER LIKE THIS ?” she hugged her and cry badly when girl said ” mama , why are you crying , i don’t like tears in ur eyes ” she siad as she could sense that it was something very serious .

she wiped her tears and said ” u have to be strong anika , strong ”
