Mallika realized she was hugging Karan and moved away wiping her tears. ‘Do you know how my face got changed?’, she asked in a broken voice. ‘You met with a small accident,’ he replied. ‘A small accident? Seriously? How can a small accident change my face so much that my chhoti is not recognizing me? How?’, she asked and tears again started flowing from her eyes and he kept his arm around her shoulders. ‘Mallika, everything will be OK,’ he consoled her. ‘What was Anika doing in that room?’, she asked. ‘She fainted seeing you meet with an accident.’
‘Oh, that’s why. But who are you?’, she asked and he laughed. ‘What’s so funny?’, she asked gritting her teeth. ‘Sorry, I saved your and your sister’s life,’ he lied. ‘Oh, till when am I going to stay here?’, she asked. ‘If you want to go home, I will tell doctor for discharge papers, be here only,’ he said and went. Mallika leaned onto the wall behind and closed her eyes and didn’t knew when she drifted into deep sleep. Karan came back and saw her asleep. ‘Mallika,’ he spoke softly but she didn’t replied. She was asleep. He took her head on his shoulder.
After half an hour or more than that, doctor came with discharge papers, he signed on them and gave it to him. The doctor stamped the papers and handed it to him, Karan thanked him and he went. He picked Mallika in his arms and moved towards the exit. He walked with slow steps and continued moving until he came to the glass door. He pulled it open and went outside towards their car, he made her stand and held her in his arm as he unlocked the car and let her in towards the passenger seat.
He buckled the seatbelt and pecked her forehead. He sat on the driving seat buckling his side of seatbelt and drove off. On the other side, Daksh entered his house around 4 pm. He took off his shoes and was going inside when Tia came and stood in front of him, her eyes narrowed at him and her arms folded on her chest. ‘From where are you coming?’, she asked. ‘Tum se matlab? Tumhe kya hai?’, he asked rudely. ‘Bohat kuchh, by the way what happened to your face? You’re looking so cute with these wounds,’ she laughed sarcastically.
He moved her out of the way and angrily moved inside and sat on the couch. ‘I fell down,’ he replied. ‘Fell down?’, she laughed even more after hearing this and he glared at her. ‘Oh sorry, can I know how did you fall? Don’t you use your car?’, she asked between her giggles. ‘Tia, first you stop laughing else you don’t know what I am,’ he said. She stopped laughing and composed herself. ‘I know what you are, don’t try changing the topic, I know you didn’t fall down but you have fought with someone,’ she replied knowingly.
‘Yes, I fought with someone, and that someone is none other than Shivaay Singh Oberoi,’ he confessed and her expressions changed. ‘I took my friend’s truck and then I saw Mallika driving and I intentionally clashed the truck in her car, it hit directly on the door of the driver seat, the door broke and she fell down, her face got ruined and she met with an accident, I harassed your friend as well and then fought with Shivaay, Anika too fainted seeing Mallika’s state,’ he said in one go and Tia approached him giving him an angry gaze and slapped him.
‘How dare you? Whatever you did before wasn’t enough that you did this?’, she said angrily. ‘What I did before can be done right now as well,’ he replied lowering his gaze. ‘What do you mean?’, she asked. Just then he held her hand and pulled her on the sofa and she landed beside him. ‘Now that you’ve settled over here, why don’t you lay down?’, he asked and pushed her backwards coming on top of her, her eyes grew wide as she realized what’s coming next and tried to push him but all went in vain, she panicked.
Shivaay took Shanaya outside Anika’s ward to talk to her. ‘Can you do one thing for me?’, he asked. ‘Yes why not?’, she replied. ‘You go to Daksh’s house, I will message you the address, I feel like something is wrong,’ he said. ‘OK,’ she agreed and went towards the exit while he went inside the ward. He saw Anika awake. ‘Ani, don’t you think you should go out of these four walls, just for sometime?’, he asked. ‘Yes, I really want to go, but where Shivaay?’, she asked excitedly.
‘Beach,’ he replied. ‘Beach, wow, do you remember how we used to have water fight in childhood? We used to swim in the water together, we even made sandcastles, Shivaay, I want to go and re-live those days,’ she spoke excitedly and he could see the happiness on her face. ‘Ok,’ he said and pressed the bell to call doctor. So they talked to doctor to take her out for sometime and he gave discharge of three hours and they went out towards the exit with Anika, their hands were linked with each other. He opened the glass door and moved out. He opened the car door for her.
She sat inside and he closed the door. He went towards the driving seat and sat inside and drove off. Karan entered his house with Mallika in his arms and went to his room, he made her lay on her side of bed covering her with duvet. He caressed her hair and she held his hand and kissed it. ‘Love you,’ she said in a sleepy voice. He sat down on his knees. ‘I understand Mallika that you have lost your memory, and that you won’t recognize me so soon, but I heard you just said that you love me, I love you too, that’s why I brought you here so you recall easily,’ he said and kept her hand on the bed.
He removed all their pics from the wall and just kept a guitar on the couch beside his cupboard. Shanaya reached Daksh’s house and climbed the wall to go inside and sat on the top, she jumped inside and landed on her knees. She stood up and went towards the stairs that led towards the main door of the house which was open. She tiptoed upstairs and reached the main door, she stood on the entrance.
