Part 10

Shivay unwillingly broke the hug. He lifted her face and placed a kiss on her forehead. He then kissed her eyes and cheeks. He kissed her tears away. He lifted her up in his arms and placed her on couch.

He went away from her and brought a glass of water for her. He placed the glass in her hands and asked her to drink it. She didn’t move her hands. Shivay made her drink water. After drinking water she leaned on his shoulder. He kept his hand around her. He held her protectively. Both of them felt peace in each other’s embrace.

Shivay’s pov

I don’t know why she is crying. I am not able to understand the reason for her tears. She looked so broken. I never wished to see her in that state. I remember once I made a promise to myself that she will be the happiest woman on this world. But I failed to keep my promise.

Everytime I bring tears in her eyes. I wanted to punish her but I never this is going to be something like tit for tat. I thought I will break her but the truth is I am broken. I hate to hurt her.

For the first time in my life I am lost. I very well know I am fighting a losing battle.

Wait a minute was she crying because she saw with me meghna. Did she cried because she can’t see me with someone else? Did my absence affect her? Should I be happy or sad? I wish this one week never ends.

The day went silently. He didn’t disturb Anika further. He just asked her to finish a file and go back to oberoi mansion. He dropped her home.

Next day morning Anika woke up. Her eyes red and puffed because of her crying session.

Anika’s pov

Why God is punishing me like this? I never wished bad for anyone. First he gave me something which I never imagined. He gave me shivay. When I was about to start my life with him he seized him from me. If God wants to hurt me then why he filled my life with happiness.

How can I see my shivay with that meghna. Did he forget me so easily. I am struggling here to forget him but he is ready for his next marriage. Oh God I know I wanted him to move on but why it hurts me.

I can’t see him with some other girl. But I should not be selfish. I should be happy if shivay is happy. After all love is all about being happy in some others happiness.

Anika was deeply engrossed in her thoughts. Her trance of thoughts are broken when she saw a figure dressed in a white shirt and denims. She rubbed her eyes in shock. Her mouth opened a little in shock.

Seeing anika’s shocked reaction which he already predicted shivay laughed a bit.

” Close your mouth anika otherwise people will think u r checking me out”, shivay grinned.

Anika who was in a state of shock composed herself and retorted him

” Who said I am checking u out? Actually it’s a exercise. If u open your mouth like this your voice will be sweet. Moreover u r not so handsome like Hrithik Roshan that I will check u out”, Anika said in a defensive tone.

” Nice try Anika but I know u r just trying to divert the topic”.

” Okay actually for the first time I am seeing you in casuals that’s why I am not able to believe myself”, she said in defeated tone.

” Haha see I said correctly. It’s okay now get ready we need to go out”.

” I am not coming to your office again. U said it’s only for one day.”

” Anika u talk too much. Did I mention anything about office. I said we r going out that’s it. So chill and come and yeah I forgot to mention when u come down ask Khanna to keep that blue bag in our car”, he said all of a sudden and went from there.

” Don’t know what’s going to happen today”, Anika banged her hand on her hand and went to get ready.

After getting ready she went down and saw shivay still in his casuals.

” Mr.oberoi r u not getting ready. U only told we r getting late”.

” Anika I am already ready. Do I look like a cleaner or something else”.

” Actually u r still in your casuals that’s why I asked”.

” Why can’t I wear casuals? U have any problem or u can’t stop checking me out”.

” I don’t have any problem. I told you earlier I am not checking u out.”

” Okay fine now sit in car”.

” But you didn’t tell me where are we going”.

” U never stop questioning na. Okay let me tell you we r going on a long drive. I hope you don’t have any problem.”

” What we r going on long drive? But how, why?”.

” Relax Anika actually I came to know from sahil u always wanted to go for a long drive. U r also upset yesterday so I thought some fresh air can help you. so I arranged for this”.

” Wait a minute but how come u r talking to sahil. U r not in contact with us for past 3 months.”

” Well only a part of your question is right. I was not in contact with you but I always talked with sahil.”

” How come it’s possible? He never told me about this.”

” I asked him to do this. It was not his mistake.”

” I am not going to spare him”, Anika said angrily.

” U can’t stop me “.

” But why you want to talk to him. We r no more together.”

” Don’t forget Anika he is also my brother. I treat him the same way just like omru. U can’t interfere between us”.

Anika smiled in happiness. At last she can die happily even if someone ask her now. She felt content because sahil have shivay with him. He will take care of sahil with all his might.

” Anika get into the car. We r getting late”.

” It’s okay Mr.oberoi. thank you so much for your efforts. I am fine. Yesterday I cried because of head ache. Nothing more thank you for your concern.”

Shivay didn’t reply her. He took out the contract paper and kept it in front of her. He looked at his watch. Anika immediately got into the car. Shivay smiled and went inside the car.

True love is giving happiness to someone in your happiness and giving happiness in your sadness too.

Both Anika and shivay are doing the same. They want to give happiness to each other no matter how they r hurt.
