You and me (Shivika– Chapter 5)

Anika’s POV

I woke up with the worst headache. My head was throbbing. Guess this is what first hangover feels like! I stepped of the bed. When did I change my rug? I clearly remember my rug was a fluffy one. That was when I realized that I was not in my room but Oberoi Mansion instead.Oberoi mansion? How did I come here?

I sat back on the bed and poured myself a glass of water. The last night’s happening started playing in my mind. Going to the party, Siddharth , getting drunk.

That a*sh*le, I don’t know what the hell he wants. First he dumps me and now he wants to get back with me. Hell, if I will.

I walked downstairs, in the kitchen. There he was, Shivaay Singh Oberoi, cooking the perfect breakfast. He saw me and without any questions, passed me lemonade, which was kind of soothing.

“When did you start drinking Shekawat?” He asked, his concentration on the pancakes he was preparing.

“I didn’t want to drink…” he cut me off.

“But you still drank” he said, raising a brow in suspicion.

“Someone said that girls shouldn’t take part in drinking comepetion and being the feminist I am I took up the challenge” I lied straight through my teeth. That was the best lie I could come up with, right now.

I really didn’t want him to know about Siddharth fiasco. I swear if he actually comes to know that he has been stalking me and cornered me yesterday, he would kill that a*sh*le.He shrugged as he finally dropped the topic. I’m so glad that he did because I know that I can’t lie to him for long. He will eventually know.

“Go take a shower and as for clothes, there must be some in sona’s cupboard,” he said as he pushed me out of the kitchen. I sighed and walked in sona’s room and grabbed a pair of worn out jeans and a yellow cold shoulder top. I slouched in the bathroom and turned on the shower, the hot shower was very soothing but my head still hurts.

After having a good time in the shower, I decided to not blow dry my hair. I went in the kitchen, grabbed the plate of pancakes from his hand and started enjoying every bite. Pancakes made by Shivaay are the best. He’s one hell cook. I f**king love everything he cooks but we do have an exception. He’s terrible at Indian cuisine.

“I love you too” I heard him say. I know he loves me as a friend but why did he just say it out of the blue?”

“Shivaay, did something happen? You didn’t fight with Uncle again, now did you?” I asked, genuinely concerned. I hope he has not fought with his dad again.

“Uh-huh, I didn’t fight with him. Everything’s alright” he gave me a small smile.

My phone rang, it was Randhir. Now why is he calling me? We met yesterday only and he’s definetely not a person to call so early. Nonetheless, I picked up his call.

“Hey Anika? Wassup girl? You had your first hangover” he laughed.

“Stop Randhir! My head still hurts and you are doing nothing good to it” I replied.

“Ok fine!”

“Why did you call me up?” I asked getting straight to the point.

“Can’t I even call my best buddy?” he asked, frustating me even more.

“Shut up! I know you, so you better get to the point” If only he could see me glaring at him, he would have shut his mouth long back.

“Ummm..Ok! So I actually had a fight with Sanaya and now she’s ignoring me. Can you believe it? She’s ignoring Randhir Singh Shekawat”

“Well, Mr. if you are Randhir Singh Shekawat then she’s Sanaya Mehrwal and now, you always have these girl troubles, don’t you?” I giggled.

“What to do?! Girls are so damn complicated. I did absolutely nothing but she’s mad at me” He groaned.

“It must have been your fault” I emphasised the last few words.

“Well, it wasn’t just my fault but her’s too”

“Whatever, now tell me, what did you do to apologize?”

“I said a simple sorry” He’s terrible with girls.

” Are you even serious?”

“What?” he asked.

“You have been dating for like 2 months and you still don’t know that you are at least supposed to give her flowers or chocolates”

“What am I supposed to do now? After I have screwed this up” I rolled my eyes. What is this guy going to do without me?

“Compensate. Take her on dinner and apologize sweetly, got it?” I gave him a piece of my mind. “Behave like a gentleman and please don’t screw this up, she’s already mad at you and that will do nothing good to it”

“Fine, I get it.” he said.” I wanted to ask you something Anika”

“When did you start being so formal?”

“First answer me, do you love Shivaay?”

“Isn’t that obvious? Of course I love him, actually we both love each other as friends” I glanced Shivaay who just walked out of kitchen. Randhir drew in a sharp breath.”What?”

“Oh gosh Anika! He loves you just like I love Sanaya” What the hell? He has gone mad.

“Hey Randhir! Let me clear one thing, neither does he nor I love each other that way. We are just friends” I said with finality.

“Fine, I will talk to you later” and he hung up.

I waved to Shivaay and went out, where I bumped into Rudy. He just back from gym.

“Anika di!” he sequaled like a kid. He’s still a kid, my sub concisious mind said.OH yeah, an adorable kid. He’s like my baby brother. WIth him, I don’t feel like I have lost my brother.”LOng time no see” He was about to hug me.

“Rudy! Stay right there, you are still so sweaty” I scrunched my nose in disgust.

“Haww…Anika didi. You want let your little brother hug you” He pouted. He will never change.

“I will…first go and take a bath”

“Whatever but I missed you so much, you should come here often because bhaiya doesn’t have time for me”

“I missed you too and this SSO doesn’t even have time for me” I giggled as he laughed too.

“What’s going on here?” Shivaay interrupted.

“Nothing” we both chuckled and gave each other a hi-fi as he frowned.

I really need to come here often.
