You and me (Shivika– Chapter 2)

Shivaay’s POV

As I walked inside my office, The Oberoi Industries, everybody greeted me and my secretary, Tasha came with my cup of espresso. Without it, my day doesn’t begin.

I sat on my chair and leaned back, comfortably. There was a knock on the door.

“Come in”

A girl in her mid twenties, came inside. Terror visible on her face. Guess she is here for an interview. I asked her to sit down and began with a few simple yet quirky questions. I must say this girl is pretty talented. As she answered each question, her hesitation just vanished and now here she was, confidently sitting in front of me.

I like this girl, she’s pretty, smart yet shy and adorable.

“You are appointed Miss.Agarwal. Welcome to Oberoi Industries” I smiled and she literally jumped out of her seat.

“Thank you so much sir” she said after composing herself and off she went.

I got busy with my work. The work load is really high since dad is not here. I really miss him.

I had back to back meetings today. Phew.

My phone rang, snapping me out of my thoughts. I realized it was fifteen past seven. I picked up the phone.

“Bhaiya” a sweet voice greeted me.

“I’m sorry, Rudra. I’ll be there in thirty, alright?” I said, without giving him a chance to speak any further.

“You better be” he said and I know he must be gritting his teeth right now.

Hurry up Shivaay! Or your brother’s going to eat you alive.

I walked out of place and sat in my Mercedes Benz. I asked the driver to drive fast.

As soon as reached home, I saw him sitting on the couch with a pout.

“Bhaiya you were supposed to make me dinner today and you’re late” he shouted.

“Rudra I had important meetings”

“Yea! Yea Bhaiya! Now your meetings are more important for you than your brother” he wiped his fake tears and made a crybaby face.

I rolled my eyes at his childishness. “I’ll make you a special dessert so as to compensate, alright? ” his face lit up like a bulb. Just what I expected.

“OK done! Now go. I’m starving. Make me dinner or I’m going to eat you as my dinner”

“Fine” I took out my coat and put it on the sofa.”What do you want to have? ”

“White sauce pasta. It’s such a long time, I tell you… ” and he went on blabbering.

I made my way to the kitchen and cooked food- White sauce pasta with his favorite dessert. After I was done, I served him. He grabbed his plate and started munching.

I was playing with pasta as my mind was occupied with something.

“When’s Om coming? ” I asked.

“O will come by next tuesday” he said. “Bhaiya this tasted heavenly. Him much I missed this” he said, pointing a mouthful of pasta on his fork, towards me. “You are going to make me dinner everyday” I have work, Rudy.

“Everyday? If you do realize, I run a company Rudy” I stated.

“Yeah yeah whatever! Every weekend, now no more bargains” defeated, I sighed.

We had our food, talking about random things. You see, Rudra is a naughty and lively kid. He’s twenty two but behaves like small kid. Well he will always be a kid for me. Actually both of them- OmRu. What adorable siblings I have! I smiled at the thought.

I walked to my room and slumped over the bed. After a long and tiring day, sleep engulfed me easily.
