Many Asura clans come to support Mahishaasur. Lord Shiv tells Shukracharya that the latter can do whatever he wants but can’t win this battle. Mahishaasur tells Lord Shiv that crores of asurs came to support him, and he gained more power, so he is immortal. He says Katyayani can’t kill him, but he will kill her. Lord Shiv tells Mahishaasur to stop dreaming because injustice can’t win against justice no matter what.
Lord Narayan tells all women powers to enter Katyayani’s body. He tells Devtas to give their weapons to Katyayani. He gives his Sudarshan Chakra to Katyayani. Brahmadev gives his kamandal to Katyayani. Agni dev, Varun dev, Yamraj, Surya dev, and Devraj Indra give their weapons to Katyayani. Rishi Katyayan and his wife give their power to Katyayani. Lord Narayan tells Lord Shiv that the latter needs to give his weapon to Katyayani.
Lord Shiv says he will give his trishul to Katyayani (the Om Kara Sadashiv Neelkanth Maheshwara song plays in the background). He throws his trishul, and it reaches Katyayani. Katyayani holds Lord Shiv’s trishul (the Ya Devi Sarvabhuteshu song plays in the background). Lord Narayan says this avatar will be called Devi Durga. He adds Devi Durga will kill Mahishaasur. Kartikeya gives a lion to Devi Durga as her vahan. Lord Narayan tells Devi Durga to be ready for the battle against Mahishaasur. Devi Durga sits on the lion.
Shukracharya gives his weapons to Mahishaasur. Mahishaasur says thanks to Shukracharya. Asurs chants Asur Raj Mahishaasur ki jai. Mahishaasur gets on the bull. Shukracharya wishes Mahishaasur for the win.
Mahishaasur reaches the battlefield with his army. Devi Durga comes there (the Mahishasura Mardini song plays in the background). She tells Mahishaasur that she came to kill him. Mahishaasur tells her he will win and rule the universe. He tells Lord Shiv to be ready to accept the defeat. He says that it’s time to prove justice can’t win against injustice. He orders his army to kill Devi Durga.
Meanwhile, Lord Shiv says that he won’t even drink water until this battle ends. He sits in front of Hawan Kund. He starts chanting Om Adi Shakti Namaha. ₹Shukracharya tells Lord Shiv that the latter can do whatever he wants, but Devi Durga can’t win today. He says that today Shiv’s Shakti will die because only Mahishaasur can kill Adi Shakti, and Mahishaasur will do that.
On the battlefield, Mahishaasur tells Devi Durga that she is alone, and he has his army. Devi Durga tells him that he is fool to think she is alone. She says that she has all the support, including Tridev, because she is fighting for justice. He tells her she will become helpless in front of them. He orders his army to attack Devi Durga. Devi Durga fights against Mahishaasur’s army. She asks Mahishaasur to send everyone because she wants to kill all the asur before killing Mahishaasur.
Mahishaasur tells Devi Durga that the latter’s side is filled with darkness. Lord Shiv tells Chandradev to glow like Suryadev. He says Mahishaasur’s trick should not be able to stop Dev Durga. Chandra dev glows. Mahishaasur orders leaders of the Asurs clan to kill Devi Durga. Leaders of Asurs clan ties Devi Durga. Mahishaasur tells Lord Shiv that Shakti becomes imprisoned like the latter. Shukracharya tells Lord Shiv that injustice will win, like he said. Devi Durga becomes tall and unties herself. She kills leaders of asur clans.
