The episode starts with Mahadev disguised as an old man requests Kartikeya and Nahusha to help him reach is head as he is having severe body pain. Nahusha thinks if he goes to drop him, he would be late for the competition. Kartikeya tells old man that he will finish competition and then will drop him. Old man says if he helps him, Mahadev will surely reward him. Kartikeya ignores him and walks away. Shiv tells Parvati that the competition will end soon. Parvati says she is sure that Kartikeya will win the competition.
Old man tells Nahusha that it’s okay if he can’t help him, he would die on the way and asks him to go and complete his task. Nahusha says it would be insult to shivatva if he doesn’t help the old man and apologises Mahadev in mind for his delay in participation. He creates a carrier and carries the old man on his shoulders.
Gods and Kartikeya climb the mountain to reach Shiv. Parvati gets happy hearing Kartikeya’s voice first. Kartikeya reaches Shiv first followed by gods. Gods request Shiv to appoint Kartikeya as devraj as he reached first. Kartikeya requests Shiv to appoint him soon as he needs to go and help an old man.
Shiv gets angry on him and asks why didn’t he help the old man earlier and tongue lashes gods for being selfish and not helping old man. Kartikeya says it’s impossible that a same old man meets all of them at once. Parvati reveals it’s Shiv leela to judge them. Shiv says Kartikeya didn’t reach yet and shows Kartikeya carrying old man on his shoulders and dropping him to his house. He then starts his journey towards the mountain.
Shiv says a person who can’t be kind can’t be a king. He addresses everyone that they must have learnt by now that Nahusha would be devraj. Kartikeya refuses to accept his decision and says he always finds ways to defeat him. Shiv says everyone has to follow justice. Kartikeya argues. Nahusha reaches Shiv and apologises for coming late and says he backs off from the race. Shiv announces him the winner.
