Devi Parvati summons Yamraj and demands that he restore the lives of those who died unjustly. However, Yamraj apologizes, explaining that he does not possess their souls. When she asks who does, Dushan reveals that he holds them and mockingly displays the wandering spirits behind him. He taunts Devi Parvati, claiming that while OM is behind her, these souls belong to him. He warns her to leave, threatening to kill more people and questioning if she is willing to turn the earth into a cremation ground for Lord Shiva.
Recalling her vow to complete the Jyotirlinga pilgrimage before asking for Lord Shiva, Devi Parvati hesitates. Dushan seizes the moment, declaring that she cannot finish her journey and that Shiva will have to wait for her in Ujjain forever. He threatens further destruction, prompting Devi Parvati to declare that she will step back, unwilling to be selfish. Mocking Yamraj, Dushan pushes him aside, declaring that death itself has no power here.
Shukracharya and Diti arrive, laughing as Dushan humiliates Yamraj, spinning him around while the Asuras watch with amusement. At that moment, the devotees in Ujjain pray to Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga, causing it to glow. Lord Shiva emerges in his Mahakaleshwar form, telling Devi Parvati that if she retreats, the world will learn the wrong lesson, urging her to take action. As Dushan continues his arrogance, Yamraj warns him that he underestimates the power of Shiv Shakti. Dushan scoffs, calling Devi Parvati a coward like Yamraj.
Enraged, Yamraj defends his devotion to Shiv Shakti, declaring that today, Dushan will meet his end. Dushan, claiming to be immortal, laughs off the threat, but Yamraj chants Om Namah Shivaya. Lord Shiva then instructs Devi Parvati to bring Dushan to Ujjain, as his death can only occur within the sacred temple.
