The episode starts with Shiv starting the process of selecting devraj. All gods chant Har Har Mahadev. Shiv asks all contenders to come in front. Varundev, Agnidev, etc., come in front and inform that they don’t want to become devraj, so they want Shiv to choose Kartikeya as devraj. Narayan says when there is no competitor at all, Shiv shall choose Kartikeya as devraj. Someone walks in saying he is the contender.
Gajasur continues to dance chanting Har Har Mahadev with Shukracharya and asur soldiers and then tells Shukracharya that he is ready to visit asur lok. Mahishi says Shukracharya will try his best to divert him from shivatva.
Everyone are shocked to see Nahusha with Ashokasundari entering and wishing to contend to become Devraj. Kartikeya asks why he wants to become devraj when he was never interested in devlok. Shiv says he invited Nahusha. Kartikeya confronts Shiv for opposing him to become devraj and asks Parvati if Shiv is wrong this time or not.
Parvati says he doesn’t doubt Nahusa’s capabilities, but Shiv doesn’t want Kartikeya to become devraj. Kartikeya questions Shiv again. Shiv angrily says Kartikeya is the reason and asks Ganesh to explain his elder brother what he did. Ganesh reveals watching Kartikeya asking other gods to back from competition and suggest his name.
