Mahadev intervenes just as Ravan prepares to unleash the Chandrahas weapon on Raja Marudh. Raja Marudh, relieved to see Mahadev, immediately folds his hands, apologises for any unintentional mistake, and seeks permission to resume his Shiv Yagna. Mahadev gently assures him that there is no need to apologise and grants him approval to continue the sacred ritual.

Ravan then confronts Mahadev, questioning why he was prevented from using the very divine Chandrahas that Mahadev had bestowed upon him. Mahadev firmly replies that it is adharma to use a divine weapon against a righteous and innocent person. He instructs Ravan to apologise to Raja Marudh. Ravan stands silently, while Raja Marudh, with humility, apologises to Ravan, expressing his embarrassment over the entire incident. Chandra

observes that ultimately, Raja Marudh has emerged victorious.

Ravan, filled with anger, boasts that Ayodhya remains safe only because he allowed it to be—had Mahadev not intervened, he could have destroyed it. This arrogance displeases Mahadev deeply. Raja Marudh resumes his Yagna, while Ravan fumes that Marudh has crossed his limits and vows to kill him, but stops upon noticing Mahadev’s stern presence.

Ravan then declares he is ready for the next test. Mahadev, however, tells him that he has already failed the second test. Ravan is stunned and asks why. Mahadev explains that Ravan acted out of ego, attempted to stop a righteous Mahadev Yagna, threatened innocent people, and tried to misuse the Chandrahas, which was meant only for protecting dharma. Mahadev reminds him that he had strictly forbidden him from using the divine weapon for unrighteous purposes, yet he disobeyed.

Realising his mistake, Ravan apologises and requests that Mahadev take him to Lanka after he completes the third test. Mahadev reveals that the third test will challenge his anger. Ravan agrees, prepared to face it.

Mahadev returns to Kailash. Meanwhile, Ravan continues his journey until Anaranya confronts him. When questioned, Anaranya introduces himself and says he has come to answer the war challenge Ravan issued to Raja Marudh. Ravan mocks him for being just a boy, but Anaranya suddenly attacks and injures him. Ravan warns that he possesses many weapons that can end him. Observing this, Vinayak says that his brother has taken the form of Anaranya—while the strength is his, the intellect guiding the battle is Vinayak’s—making it difficult for Ravan to overcome. Mahadev hears Vinayak’s words.

Later, Ravan approaches Mahadev once again, proclaiming that he will offer all ten of his heads to him. In a shocking act of devotion, he cuts off his first head and offers it into the sacred fire as an offering to Mahadev.

Precap: Ravan injures Anaranya, causing him great pain. In his final moments of strength, Anaranya places a curse on Ravan, declaring that one day, Ravan’s downfall will come from someone born in his own lineage.
