Mahadev declares that while Swarth (selfishness embodied) is dead, selfishness itself will persist in the world, giving humans a choice between Shivatva (selflessness) and selfishness. Lord Narayan affirms that humans will face this choice, while Devraj Indra and others chant in devotion.
Meanwhile, Shukracharya tells Diti that selfishness will continue opposing Shivatva, marking their victory. Diti vows that Asurs will inhabit selfish humans.
Mahadev confides in Devi Parvati about the pain of witnessing devotees’ deaths in Kashi, vowing to endure their suffering. Parvati comforts him, praising his duality—present in both temples and cremation grounds. A devotee celebrates a newborn, symbolizing life’s balance with death.
As Devi Parvati departs for her yatra, Diti and Shukracharya plot to stop her, sending Asurs to attack. Despite Narad’s concerns, Lord Narayan expresses doubts about Devi Parvati’s battle against relentless Asurs.
When Asurs confront Devi Parvati, Shiva intervenes, binding them and dragging them to Kashi Vishwanath temple, ensuring her safe passage. The struggle between divine will and selfish defiance continues.
