Malla and Diti witness Mahadev’s Bhootnath avatar appear behind Martand as he plays the veena. Alarmed, Diti warns Malla that it’s unsafe to remain there, and they quickly leave. As they do, the ghosts and Mahadev’s Bhootnath form vanish. Martand opens his eyes to find Mhalsa standing before him. He stops playing, and Mhalsa quietly walks away.
That night, both Mhalsa and Martand struggle to sleep, each lost in thoughts of the other.
The next day, Pradhan informs the villagers that Shivaratri is just two days away and announces that King Malla and Mani will be visiting Jejuri. He highlights that this year’s celebration is special as their king has overseen all arrangements. Mhalsa then steps forward with an important declaration — women will participate in this year’s Shivaratri pooja. Jaya objects, insisting they don’t seek equal rights. Mhalsa responds firmly, saying she does, and if others don’t, that’s their choice. She declares she will perform Mahadev’s pooja herself this Shivaratri.
Pradhan is outraged and reminds Mhalsa of the village rules, which forbid women from entering the Shiv temple. Mhalsa boldly promises she will pour water on the Shivling this year. Martand is pleased, while the others are left shocked.
Later, Mhalsa reflects on the reasons women are banned and questions the logic behind it. She asserts that this is about a devotee’s right to worship and vows to challenge the injustice. She wonders how anyone can separate her from her god when Mahadev himself never made such distinctions. Mhalsa decides to change people’s mindset.
Meanwhile, Malla expresses his concern to Pradhan, declaring Mhalsa must not take part in the pooja — not out of bias, but for her safety. He recalls a dangerous incident from her childhood. Pradhan tries to reassure him, but Malla insists women must stay out of the Shiv temple.
Martand later meets Mhalsa and offers his support. Mhalsa bluntly says she doesn’t need his help. Martand tells her he’s not offering help but wants to walk beside her in this journey. He confesses he’s worried because her current struggle is partly his fault and asks how he can stand by and watch her suffer. Mhalsa questions why he keeps appearing in her path. Martand teasingly compares her to Pishachini, and Mhalsa chases him playfully.
Meanwhile, Diti asks Malla why Mhalsa’s entry into the temple troubles him so much. Malla replies gravely — if Mhalsa remembers her past, the reunion of Shiv and Shakti will begin.
Precap: Martand enters the Shiv temple and challenges Mhalsa, telling her that if she truly wants to defeat him, she must step inside. Determined, Mhalsa places her foot on the temple threshold—only to be suddenly struck by a jolt of energy, as if electrocuted, stopping her in her tracks.
