As he leaves to rest, he exchanges glances with Mhalsa, who silently fumes as Martand takes credit for her deeds.
Mani, shaken, tells Malla that Shiv and Shakti have reunited to destroy them and urges repentance. Malla assures him that Martand is safe in Jejuri with Mhalsa, where no harm will come to him.
Mhalsa confronts Martand for stealing her glory, arguing that she controlled the tiger and saved him. Martand dismisses her, teasing her jealousy and claiming the villagers’ admiration is not his fault. Their argument escalates, with Martand mocking her anger while she insists he’s selfish.
When Mhalsa stops a girl from entering the Shiva temple, citing tradition, Martand laughs at her hypocrisy—she advocates equality yet enforces gender restrictions. Defiant, he walks into the temple, further irritating Mhalsa.
Mani pressures Malla to apologize to Shiv and Shakti, but Malla insists they need time to convince them—or else beg for forgiveness directly.
The tension between Martand and Mhalsa grows, setting the stage for deeper conflict, while the supernatural forces of Shiv and Shakti loom over the village’s fate.
