Jimrasur arrogantly challenges Mahadev’s trishul, claiming it cannot protect Kartikeya, but all his attempts to attack Kartikeya and the trishul fail. Surrounded by trishuls, Jimrasur refuses Shukracharya’s advice to apologize to Mahadev, boasting that he has enough power to defeat the trishul. Despite Devi Parvati’s urging, Mahadev warns Jimrasur one last time. When Jimrasur tries to overpower the trishul, it grows in size and carries him to the sky before bringing him back to earth, immobilized. Mahadev declares that Kanyakumari, not he, will defeat Jimrasur.
Kanyakumari, deeply devoted to Mahadev, faces opposition from her parents, King Bharat and the Queen, who remind her that Shiv is married to Devi Parvati. Mahadev acknowledges Kanyakumari’s pure love and promises it will be remembered. To appease her parents, Kanyakumari agrees to perform penance for eight hours, vowing to give up her wish to marry Mahadev if he does not appear. She resolves, however, to remain in that place forever.
Jimrasur learns of Kanyakumari’s powers and plots to enslave or kill her, dismissing warnings from Shukracharya and Diti about her strength. Rishi Agastya’s remarks provoke Jimrasur further, making him more determined. While Kanyakumari begins her penance, Jimrasur arrogantly attacks devotees, believing his immortality is assured. Devi Parvati and Kanyakumari’s parents plead with Mahadev to intervene, as the stage is set for a climactic confrontation.
