A shining star- B’day OS for Ishu from Neha & Kanfi

The stadium was totally filled with audiences. The crowd was excited and was waiting for the next match. Yes, this time Common Wealth Games 2025 are hosted by India in Madhya Pradesh. The entire country is in praise of Indian players who has made their country proud by excelling many field. Here, was a girl, who had countless dream to make her country proud. She is a young and talented badminton player, competing for the first time for the International medal.

She is the best and proved her talent in National and State level matches. This girl is none other than famous badminton player Ishita. Her rigorous training and perseverance to achieve great paved way for her success. By crossing many hurdles she has come to this stage.

Today she is competing against a player of China Xi Chang, who is world number 3. Before, the match Swara (Helly Shah) personally came to congratulate her. In few minutes the match was about to begin. Ishita told herself, I won’t lose my calm and play as a true player, for my nation.
Then as the match started-

Set I – The first half Ishita was over ruling Xi, she seemed to be focused and Xi was not performing that well. The score was now 16-9 with Ishita leading. But, suddenly it looked, Xi has revolted back and Xi won the round by 19-21.

Ishita POV: Now, I get her strategy, she is luring me at the start and then using her dominance. Now, I can’t afford to lose any match. I will trick to her, with her own strategy. Let’s see how can she beat me now, this set loss brought Ishita another level of confidence.

Set II – This time Ishita was good at the start. But, it felt as if she is losing her hold, she looked a bit tired now. The score was 2-11 with Xi leading. Maybe, Xi assumed that her win is nearby and this brought overconfidence in her. But, within no time the game was turned by our Ishu with her tactics. She won this set by 21-18 and this brought a loud spur with her fans.

The crowd was hooting and yelling ISHITA, ISHITA. This boosted her morale.Also, her friends, well wishers and her family had come to support her on her big day. Ishu had once mentioned that during her teens she used to love watching Indian TV serials. Her favourite were Suman and Shravan from EDKV and Swaragini leads. So, today both the serial actors were present to cheer her. A proud moment for her.

Ishita POV: Now, it’s a neck to neck battle. I won’t use any strategy. I just give my best and take blessing from God. I have waited for this game form long time also invested by heart in it. Go, Ishu you can do it.

Set III – The match was a nail bitting one. Both, of them were giving the best. Now, Ishu was overpowering her. The shots delivered by Ishu were impeccable. She was using presence of mind and her skills impressively. Thus, Ishu won this set by 21-15.

The cheer and the support was applauding. Everyone was super happy with her win. She had shown remarkable determination and is an inspiration for all the girls, who don’t pursue dream by choosing profession given by their parents.

Then, came the ceremony for which entire nation was waiting. Ishu was given gold medal. We could see her eyes were moist and after that our National Anthem was played. Ishu and the crowd had goosebumps while our song was playing.

The next day –
Today at 10 all of Ishu’s TU, school friends had come, all were decorating the lawn near her house. Ishu had no clue about it. Her TU friends included Abhija, Rufina, Deepika, Neeti, Candy, Aradhana, Janvi, Soumya, Fenil, Shrinjal, Neha ,Haju di and her friend Shraddha , Adi, Neeti, Chota Do , Shwetha, Christie, Sophie, Micky and many more. ( Sorry, if I have forgotten any one)

At 12, Ishu was called there blindfolded. She was so happy seeing the decorations, where a poster of her winning the match was put up and a giant cake where, Happy birthday Ishu and Congratulations was written. Each of her friend personally greeted her and gave her the gift. Ishu was so emotional touched.
While, cutting the cake, everyone was saying, Happy bday DON.

Rufi: We all were planning, this from months, and wasn’t dependent on your win or lose.
Shrinju: You made us, so proud, Ishu.
Kanfi: Thanks to tw, that we were introduced.
Ronu and Soumya: Ishu is the best.

Neeto, Deepika and Candy: Wait, we still have a surprise.

Then, SRK came and wished our Champion.
Shahrukh: Today, and old star is meeting new emerging Star. Make, India proud dear. Here, is a small gift as a token of love.

Then few party games were played. Everyone were tapping there legs on “4 baj gaye par party abhi Baki hai” and more songs.

A girl had achieved, a girl was born today to make India proud. We love you so much Ishu ???

This, OS aid from me and Kanfi. You thought, everyone has forgotten you, don’t think this, you have a spark which touches all your life. So how can we forget you? No, not at all. The discussion were done on 15-16th June for the story by both of us and we had divided the writing work, but Kanfi got ill, now she is fine. But, she has helped in drafting celebrations. Really, you are the root of the family, which binds branches and leaves like us.My first friends, so glad to be associated with you.
Also, Rufi you came with a surprise and wrote an OS for Ishu, you made her badminton player, I was laughing as we also had same ideas.
