The popular show Balika Vadhu 2 will soon take a leap. Actors Shivangi Joshi, Randeep Rai, and Samriddh Bawa have been finalized to essay the roles of Anandi, Anand, and Jigar respectively.
Amidst these new entries, actress Shiju Kataria who was essaying the role of Sejal has decided to quit the show. Apparently, Shiju was not comfortable in playing a mother to grown-up actors and hence she decided to quit the show. The makers are currently looking for a replacement for Sejal’s character.
In a recent interview with TC, Shiju revealed, “Well, it was my conscious decision on quitting the show as the leap will have an older generation coming in and I was not comfortable playing a mother to co-stars who are nearly my age. Even when I picked the character of Sejal initially we were told that the leap is a far long plan. Anandi and Jigar would stay with Sherya and Vansh for good 2-3years, but the leap was quite sudden and new characters with a completely different track were introduced. I decided that I wouldn’t continue playing Sejal post the leap”.
Shiju has already wrapped up her shooting schedule.
