Sheezan Khan is currently in police custody as he was the prime accused in Tunisha Sharma’s suicide case. Tunisha took her life on the assets of her show and her mother blamed Sheezan for abetting her to commit suicide. Sheezan’s bail plea was getting rejected for a while now and today in the hearing his lawyer presented with some fresh pieces of information.
For the unversed, yesterday Tunisha Sharma’s mother opened up to a news channel and said that she had transferred Rs 3 lakh in her daughter’s account over a period of three months and that the given amount was mostly being used by Sheezan and his family.
Vanita Sharma in the interview also said that her daughter had told her that Sheezan would do drugs and he was forcing Tunisha into drugs too. She said: “I told her to concentrate on the show. Sheezan had even slapped Tunisha. Tunisha had told her friends that Sheezan used to do drugs, and that she was being forced to do it as well. She had started smoking. I want all the reports.”
Sheezan’s lawyer Shailendra Mishra responded to the claims and told ETimes TV : “Please understand that Sheezan was detained within the premises of Fever and Brain Hospital itself and has been in custody since 24.12.2022, let even this allegation of doping, drugs etc., be investigated, my client is already in custody. It is we who have mentioned in court, we will not object to reasonable Police remand, but let every allegation be levelled, be it before the Police as well as in Media, be investigated in a letter and spirit and the Police are investigating.”
He further added, “All these allegations levelled are studiedly false, baseless, manipulated and misleading ones and they (Tunisha’s side) who lied before the court stating we are in Chandigarh and High Court, are setting a narrative being in the public domain by visiting the studio to studio of all leading media channels, that too before bail hearing to cover up the lacunae as we have exposed them in our bail application and nothing more. They just want to sensationalise the whole matter to take undue advantage and that’s about it. Let them come before the court and we will respond befittingly.”
In a press conference recently, Sheezan Khan’s family claimed that Tunisha’s mother would frequently neglect her daughter. She would also refuse to give her money, and although having a large salary, the late actress would frequently struggle financially.
When he was asked about accusations of murder by the other side, advocate Mishra, who is representing Sheezan added, “He will say a lot of things. Whether it’s a suicide or murder, they should decide first. They only registered an FIR for suicide, allegation of murder is also put by them. They have misguided the police with their allegations. Police won’t get anything in it. The two had moved on in their life. This is the truth which was submitted even in the written document by their lawyer.”
On the other hand, Tunisha Sharma’s lawyer informed, “Sheezan’s bail application was heard today. They have also filed fresh photographs, something regarding medicines and judgements of High court and Supreme court as well. We have sought a date based on the arguments they have presented. They wanted the bail proceedings to be heard on camera as the media interprets things wrongly. Now we leave up to you, how you interpret it. We have taken a fresh date for 11th to present our side of the argument after their documents. Court will do justice to the innocent.
Now, only time will tell if these stories are mere hearsay or true.
