Shark Tank India 2: Vineeta Singh and Namita Thapar pay a surprise visit to women entrepreneurs who got rejected last year; offer Rs 85 lakh
The second season of Shark Tank India premiered on January 2. The episode began with a video montage of two women entrepreneurs Uma Jha and Kalpana Jha, who pitched their pickle and chutney brand in the previous season but unfortunately got rejected.
This year, Sharks Vineeta Singh and Namita Thapar paid a surprise visit to them. Uma Jha and Kalpana Jha’s business had exponentially grown after their exposure on the show. Vineeta and Namita recalled regretting their decision not investing in them.
Namita and Vineeta gave them Rs. 85 lakhs to support their business. Talking about the second season of the show, the first episode begins with entrepreneurs Yeshoda Karuturi and Rhea Kaurturi, from Bengaluru, who sell puja flowers and incense sticks. The USP of their business was the shelf life of their flowers which stays fresh for 15 days.
