Shama Sikander reveals her secret to mental and physical fitness

Shama Sikander who rose to fame with her stint in the TV series Yeh Meri Life Hai (2003-2005) is also known for her fitness. During a recent interview, Shama shared tips for staying fit both physically and mentally through practicing an intense kind of yoga called Ashtanga Yoga.

During her interview with BT, Shama shared that she and her husband James Milliron are both into yoga. She said, “Ashtanga is a very dynamic and athletic form of yoga, made up of six series or levels, with a fixed order of postures. It is rooted in vinyasa, the flowing movements between positions, with a focus on energy and breath. While it is a very physical practice, it also promotes mental clarity and inner peace. Doing it with James sometimes also brings us closer and strengthens our bond like never before.”

On the personal front, the actress recently tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend, James Milliron at a destination wedding in Goa. The couple got married in a Christian ceremony.
