Chaddha argues that kinners live in the society but their own circle, if Rajat wants to bring them in between us. He asks Rajat if he wants the normal kid’s custody to be given to a kinner as well. Rajat asks Chaddha how was he in sports during school years? Chaddha asks how it is related to the case. Rajat says its related straightaway. Chaddha replies he was good at cricket only. Rajat asks Chaddha this means he lost a 100 meter race in school. Chaddha says he never participated in the race, how could he win or lose. Rajat says this is the point, your honor. We never gave kinner the opportunities the life; if their bodies, mind or emotions aren’t like others that they aren’t given the equal opportunities in the society. Chaddha says this case is about custody, but Rajat is turning it into a case of
Harman comes to Witness Box. Rajat says recently Harman did something that offended the society. Harman says he went to powerhouse and disconnected the power supply. Chaddha says Rajat’s client himself accepts what he did. Rajat says he himself is speaking to him. Rajat asks Harman if he understands the gravity of situation, he has married a kinner and must stay locked up into the house; and there he is cutting the wires of people’s house. Harman says he isn’t afraid of these villagers at all. He complains to the court that these people disconnected their house electricity, then water supply, then milkman’s supply and then rashan man. Now, if anyone takes any action against him or his family; he will make it difficult for them to live as well. Chaddha says Rajat’s client is making an open challenge in the court. Rajat replies its Newton’s third law of motion, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. When law is unable to protect people, they take the law in their hands. Chaddha blames Rajat turning court room into a science lecture room. The court is adjourned for ten minutes. Rajat leaves for five minutes.
Afterwards, Chaddha was asked to commence the court’s proceedings. Chaddha jokes that it seems Rajat has left the case in the midst. Suomya and Harman were also worried. All of a sudden, the door of court room was shut. Smoke enters from beneath the door creating suffocation for everyone. Rajat comes in and asks everyone to open the windows and give a bottle of water to everyone. Rajat apologizes the court. He says his client has gone through such troubles each day. The villagers used this gas into his client’s house even when the child Soham was there inside, the society remained silent because they hate Suomya; disconnecting electricity, water, rashan, or milk supply can’t be tolerated for long. But he would only blame four people who forced the society to do this. Chaddha questions what he wants to say. Rajat says he wants to speak the truth only. Chaddha was furious. Rajat calmly asks him he might lose this case and his life both because of this anger. He shows some photos of the goons to the judge and says these have ignited the masses against kinners. The point is, the world has been made for men, women and kinners equally. The society wants to deprive his client of her basic rights in the society. Chaddha says the debate on the issue can be extremely prolonged, he requests a next date. Rajat asks why he wants the next date, to bring about fake witness and false proofs. Chaddha shouts shut up Rajat Singh! Rajat Singh replies truth is always bitter, it’s visible both on his tongue and face. Chaddha calls Rajat an actor on the name of advocate. He charges on Rajat, but the court orders Chaddha to control himself. Rajat requests the court to at least give the decision that the basic necessities of his clients won’t be intervened. Before the court is adjourned, Suomya requests the judge they haven’t seen Soham for many days. Chaddha says the court hasn’t announced its decision yet. Suomya recalls she discussed it with Rajat Singh, and he had suggested this. In the court, Rajat Singh requests the court that Suomya is Soham’s Maasi, mother alike. She is only requesting to see Soham. The court allows Suomya can see Soham for ten minutes every two days.
After the hearing, Harman holds Rajat Singh in his arms and swirls around in celebration. He whistles and dances around. Rajat tells Suomya and Harman to go and meet Soham as per court’s permission. Rajat leaves the court.
Sukhminder was in Chaddha’s office and complains about the state of their case’s hearing. Chaddha says court’s hearings are like these, they can find some solution about it. Sukhminder says he is the most expensive lawyer of Gurdaspur, can’t he demand him a clear solution as well. Chaddha was furious that he can take his money back, he hasn’t lost any case in his lifetime. Sukhminder cools down, he says he can’t bear Harman’s family happy at all.
Harman and Suomya come to meet Soham. Harman says no one will come to interfere in the ten minutes given to them by the court.
