Recap-Laksh tried to convince Ragini and asked to give back that Ouija board and bring something else. But she didn’t listen to him. Later, Swara came to meet Ragini and tried to misbehave with Laksh. Ragini saw this from the stairs.

Ragini’s pov continues…

Laksh was about to say something to Swara Bose but she kept her finger on his lips. And it made me furious. I couldn’t tolerate this anymore.

“What are you doing Swara?” I shouted and she immediately took back her finger.

“No–no–nothing Ragini.” She fumbled.

“Then why are stammaring?” I asked her strictly.

“Nothing, actually I came here to ask you that tomorrow our party will be held or not?” she answered me back tried to cover up her mistake. No, no… Why am I telling that it was a mistake? It was a sin! Or more than that I could say it was a blunder.

I looked at her. “Of course.” I answered to her question.

“Okay then I’m going.” She said.

Laksh was just looking at me but I ignored him.

“One minute, but why did you come here? You don’t have your cell phone?” I asked her angrily and I know that she had understood that I got angry at her.

“Actually, my phone got damaged. Hence I had to come here. Didn’t you want me to come to your house?” She asked me and which made me angry as hell.

I smiled at her. “Definitely, I want but not with this behaviour. Understood? From next time don’t even dare to come near my Laksh. Or else, you know me very well.” I said with a smirk on my face. She just nodded her head positively and left.

I looked at Laksh who was already staring at me. I felt guilty for not understanding Laksh. A tear escaped from my eye. I immediately wiped it and ran towards our bedroom. I locked the door of our room and sat there and started to cry loudly. How could I do this? I didn’t believe to my Laksh. I was crying badly. I heard a knock at the door.

“Ragini, open the door.” Laksh said. “Open the door Ragini.”

I was crying bitterly and was not listening him.

“I’m telling you to open the door or else I’ll think that still you want to believe to that Swara Bose and not me.” He said this which made me angry as hell.

I stopped crying, wiped my tears and stood up. Then I opened the door and saw Laksh is standing.

“What made you think like that?” I asked him furiously.

“Again you got angry? Oh dear, this much anger is not good for health okay? Now, give me a hug.” By saying this he opened his arm for welcoming me in his hug and I immediately hugged him tightly. He also hugged me back. After some time we broke the hug.

“But Laksh if she will again….” Before I could complete my words Laksh put his finger on my lips.

“She’ll not do that again. So don’t worry. After this when you’ll meet her again then just try to act as normal, as you used to be with her before, just like that.” He assured me. I nodded my head.

“Ragini may I ask you something?” Laksh said.

“Yes Laksh of course, why not?” I answered him back.

“Ragini, please give that Ouija board back and bring something else. Please Ragini, for god sake.” He pleaded to me.

His words made me furious again. I couldn’t control my anger.

“Can’t you understand? I said no. No means no!” I said with so much anger and immediately left the place. I went to dining table for supper.

“Laksh please come and have your supper.” I shouted angrily and started to have my supper.

Ragini’s pov ends…

Laksh’s pov starts

After supper I had another try at the writing, but as my mind continued a perfect blank I gave it up and went off to bed.

The next day was Saturday, and it being near the end of the month and a particularly busy day, I left home early without seeing Ragini. Understand, I haven’t quite reached the point where I can give my whole time to writing, and being bookkeeper for a lumber company does help with the grocery bills and pay for Ragini’s fancy shopping. Friday had been a half holiday, and of course when I got back the work was piled up pretty high; so high, in fact, that ghosts and stories and everything else vanished in a perfect tangle of figures.

When I got off the street car that evening my mind was still churning. I remember now that I noticed, even from the corner, how brightly the house was illuminated, but at the time that didn’t mean anything to me. I recall as I went up the steps and opened the door I murmured: “Nine times nine is eighty-one!”

And then Sumitra met me in the hall.

“Misto Maheshwari, de Missus sho t’inks you’s lost! She say she done ‘phone you dis mawnin’ to be home early, but fo’ de lawd’s sake not to stop to argue now, but get ready fo’ de company an’ come on down.”

Some memory of a message given me by one of the clerks filtered back through my brain, but I had been hunting three lost receipts at the time, and had completely forgotten it.

“Company?” I said stupidly. “What company?”

“De Missus’s Ouija boahrd pahrty,” said Sumitra, and rolling her eyes she disappeared in the direction of the kitchen.

So guys, do tell me your feedbacks about this shot. I’m waiting…

Relationships are like birds. If you hold them tightly they will die. If you hold them loosely they will fly. But if you hold them with care they will remain with you forever.
