SHAADI KE SIDE EFFECTS(EK BECHARE PATI AUR USKI SANAKI PATNI KI DASTAAN)
Marriage is finding the person who puts up with ur crap, admires ur weird little ways & still says they love u at the end of the day….Yes guys…its me…ur Priyanka(riya)….Actually I thought of writing something different b4 I post my 2nd episode of my ff…so here I’m with my 1st attempt on OS…hope u all will like this….
Place: New Delhi
A tall building is shown…moving forward, we come across a flat on the fourth floor with a name plate, “Mr.& Mrs Kabir Kapoor”….A man of about 30-35yrs opens the door of his flat & enters inside…Off course, he’s none other than our Kabir….
(Note.Kabir works in a reputed MNC, has a very good salary & the company has given various amenities like flat, car etc.etc….Kanchi’s parents r now living together in one house since both Kanchi had to leave & Kusum won’t be alone, so Jaya & Kusum r staying together….Kanchi r now happily married for abt 3 yrs….)
While Kabir was going to his room for freshening up, he heard a sobbing sound…on following the sound, he came to know, its his jaan, his wife….(yes yes u r right…)she’s our Sanchi….& she was watching TV & was crying like hell….On seeing her condition, Kabir gets tensed & immediately goes near Sanchi & sat beside her…
Kabir: What happened Sanchi???Why r u crying???(he was asking while wiping her tears)
Sanchi: She died Kabir….My Pihu died…(& she again starts crying)…..
Kabir was confused bcz as far as he knew, they don’t know anyone named Pihu…
Kabir:Who is Pihu???
Sanchi: Anandita’s daughter Pihu…
Kabir: Sad…But who’s this Anandita?? Is she ur new frnd???
Sanchi: Ufff…u don’t know anything…Pihu is Anandita’s daughter in the show ”Bhootu” …(Kabir gives her an unbelievable look)(this one’s specially for my Bhootu loving frnds;))
Kabir: Like seriously Sanchi….just a serial character died & u r behaving as if someone died in real…
Sanchi: Do u know how much Anandita loves Pihu??Now how’ll she live without Pihu….But tumhe kya?? U won’t understand(Kabir is really annoyed at Sanchi’s rubbish talks)..
Kabir(irritated):So what u want???…should I call the CVS & tell them to plz make Pihu alive coz my wife’s crying…(Sanchi again starts crying)
Kabir: Now who died???Why r u crying again???
Sanchi:Bcz u r shouting at me….(Kabir closed his eyes & takes a deep breath)
Kabir(holding Sanchi’s hand): Sorry Sanchi…..trust me, Pihu’ll surely come back in a few episodes..
Sanchi(excited): Really!!!!…..but how do u know??? Coz u r not the writer of the show…
Kabir: Arey baba…..every serial does the same thing(Sanchi nods)…Now will u plz give me something to eat…I’m really hungry….
Sanchi: Ok..u go & change, I’ll set the dinner…& she goes to kitchen….
Kabir goes to his room mumbling, “Pehle office mein boss ko jhelo &ghar aane par biwi ka melodrama… uff….pehle I’ve to cut the serial channels, saare fasad ki jad….& he went to his room…
Time skip(time to sleep, Kanchi in their room)
Kabir: Sanchi, could u plz wake me up early…I’ve an important meeting…
Sanchi: Ok….& she sets the alarm, keeps it near Kabir’s pillow & slept…..
Time…4 a.m….Alarm starts ringing…..Kabir gets up with a jerk…& says who the hell keeps the alarm almost in the ear??? Unless its Sanchi….(he stops it & sleeps…)
Time…4.15 a.m….Alarm rings again…This time Kabir doesn’t switch off alarm, he closes his ears & after some time when the alarm automatically stops, Kabir feels relieved..& he again falls asleep…
Time…4.30 a.m…Alarm rings again…This time Kabir is really irritated…he looks towards Sanchi, who was sleeping peacefully without being disturbed by alarm at all…Kabir got a doubt & he jerked Sanchi….Sanchi opens her eyes & asks why he called her…kabir was abt to tell when she took out cotton from her ears & said now tell…Kabir was hell shocked with this…
Kabir: Why u put cotton in ur ears & what’s this….why u set alarm which is ringing every 15 mins??
Sanchi: First of all, I put cotton in my ears bcz it was u who wanted to get up early, so why would my sleep be affected??? & secondly, I put so many alarms bcz if u don’t wake up by one, u would wake up by the other…that’s why…
Kabir: I said u to wake me up early….but that doesn’t mean u’ll wake me up in the midnight…I meant u would wake me up at 5.30 a.m….
Sanchi: But u should have specified this before…now its ur fault….
Kabir: Ok meri maa…u r right…as always…now r u happy???
Sanchi: Yes(with an attitude)….that’s like a good boy…& both slept till 5.30 a.m…(haha…)
Time skip….Next day afternoon…Kabir in his office…Sanchi, after completing her household chores, goes to her neighbourhood friend’s house(which was beside their house)…. Isha Malhotra, wife of Vishal Malhotra…(hehe)..Vishal & Kabir r working in the same office…Now, Isha was like a gossip queen…every afternoon, she & Sanchi used to sit & gossip abt various serials, their neighbours 😉 etc.etc…(some time skip)….
Isha: U know what Sanchi I did shopping & got a necklace set, just wait, I’ll be back in a minute…She returns back with the box that contained the set….
Isha: See…its nice na?? Vishal said that this necklace was indeed made only for me…Sanchi was giving a fake smile…& Isha was busy in flaunting her necklace all this while…
Sanchi’s pov-Self praising….Huh!!!….After some time Sanchi left…
Same evening(7.30pm)…..Sanchi was walking here & there in the hall & was
mumbling….”What does that Isha think of herself??? I can get a necklace even better than the one she has & anyhow, my necklace is gonna be better than her….Let Kabir return….I’ll send him to the jewellery shop & buy the best neck-piece….”(she said with a lot of attitude on her face)
Door bell rang….Sanchi immediately rushed to open the door(for Kabir)….Sanchi gave a big smile to Kabir….Kabir was a bit shocked coz everytime he returned from office, Sanchi would be either watching her daily soaps or would be ready with a complain regarding a neighbour….(Kabir’s pov…beta Kabir aaj ka mausam kuch theek nehi lag raha hai, Sanchi’s smiling, something is cooking up in her mind… aaj zara sambhalke)….
Sanchi: Kabirrrrrrr(she said very sweetly)…U go & change…today I’ve made all ur fav dishes…. Now Kabir has already realized & he was damn sure, Sanchi’s over sweet, over caring nature came out all of a sudden bcz she wants something…Kabir came near Sanchi & held her hand…
Kabir: Sanchi….(he said politely)
Sanchi: Hmmm
Kabir: Why r u buttering me so much today???
Sanchi: So my love for u is buttering….
Kabir: I didn’t mean that Sanchi(Sanchi showed fake anger)…Ok sorry baba, dekho kaan bhi pakad li hai…(Sanchi still not convinced & turns to opposite side)….Acha now u tell me, what shall I give my Sanchi so that she’ll be convinced???
Sanchi: U r sure na???(Kabir nods)….Ok…I want a necklace…that too better than Isha….U know what, today she was flaunting her neckpiece in front of me….I want to show her that I’m not less than her in any aspect…(Kabir’s pov…So, I guessed it right…she wanted a necklace, that was the reason of her buttering all those time…)
Kabir: But u already have so many necklace sets….(Sanchi became sad)….but it’s fine…I can get another one for my lovely wife…(Sanchi was very excited…she thanked Kabir & gave a peck on his cheeks)..
Next day Kabir went to the jewellery shop & bought a beautiful necklace….Sanchi got really excited on seeing it….she immediately wore it….
Sanchi: How’s it looking Kabir???
Kabir: Hmm….nice….
Sanchi: Just nice???
Kabir: Ok…..earlier it was nice but after u wore it, its looking amazing…Sanchi became very happy & hugged Kabir….after some time she broke the hug…
Sanchi: But Kabir…..
Kabir: But what Sanchi???
Sanchi: Actually I want to show my new necklace to everyone….Can we go on a dinner???
Kabir: Yes….why not(Kabir in mind, as if I had any other option..)
Timeskip…Sanchi was trying to wear her fav outfit, but it had got a bit tight in fitting…so to check out she came in front of mirror…& started checking herself….
Sanchi: Kabir….do u think I’ve put on some weights these days???
Kabir: No…not at all….(u can guess even if the answer would be yes, who would dare to say this to his wife…)
Sanchi: Kabir…plz be honest….actually this dress….my fav dress, its not fitting me…tell the truth…
Kabir: Actually yes…(& Sanchi’s face was worth watching…she was glaring at Kabir)….what happened Sanchi???
Sanchi: U called me fat…..how could u Kabir???(Kabir closed his eyes, took a deep breath, came near Sanchi & held her hand)
Kabir: Sorry Sanchi….I didn’t mean to hurt u…..Arey look(Kabir shows her his watch)get ready fast, else we’ll be late…afterall u had to flaunt(Sanchi gives death glares to Kabir)…I mean, u wanted to show ur new necklace to everyone na……..Finally Sanchi gets convinced & they leave for dinner at abc restaurant….They had their dinner & then returned back….
Sanchi: Kabirrrrr….
Kabir: Yes Sanchi….
Sanchi: U saw that girl at our side table, she was looking so weird…her dressing sense was so bad….
Kabir:No sweety, I didn’t saw anyone else coz I was looking only at my beautiful wife(Sanchi blushes)
Sanchi: But u should have a look around so that u can know how lucky u’re to get a wife like me…
Kabir: Ok meri maa….henceforth I’ll check out all the ladies around…now happy???
Till that time, Sanchi had started crying loudly while Kabir was tensed for what did he do now…
Kabir(putting his hand on her shoulder): Sanchi….what happened???why r u crying???
Sanchi: I’m crying bcz of u….bcz u said u’ll check out on other girls…..How can a wife tolerate that her husband is checking out on some other girl???
Kabir(holding his ears): Sorry my sweet heart….But first of all plz stop crying, I can’t see tears in ur eyes….Alright, I’ll never say this again….
Sanchi: Promise
Kabir: Pakka promise…..& finally kanchi hugged each other….

Actually friends, every time we see kanchi as a happily married lovey-dovey couple, I somehow wanted to add a different taste to it….more or less, a reality check about what goes through in a couple’s life after marriage…..I know, what I wrote is just a crap….& sorry in advance for this….& lastly, I just hope, I could be able to bring even a slight smile on ur face through this story….my first OS….Now enough of bak bak by this chatterbox friend of urs….
So guys, I’m eagerly waiting for ur comments…..Plz forgive me if I was unable to meet ur expectations…..but somewhere I hope I’m able to do so…fingers crossed….luv u all…
