Previous chapter: Episode 3
Radhika opened her wide eyes filled fear to encounter 3 pairs of eyes filled with curiosity staring down at her. She blinked for a second taken aback at the sight before screaming. Soon the compartment filled their screams. Hearing their screams an elderly man from the adjacent compartment came to theirs and shouted: “Can’t you all go to sleep???????? Why are you all shouting like mad people in the dead of the night?????? “.This silenced the four. The man went back to his berth looking forward to a good night’s sleep after the disturbance.
Guy-1 sat beside Radhika and pats her head asking: “What happened choti????? Why did you scream????? “
Radhika was surprised at being addressed ‘choti’. Only her parents, siblings and dadaji called her that. Unknown tears filled her eyes and she faltered: “I had a bad dream.”
Guy-1: “You don’t mind being called choti do you????? I used to call my sister choti. You reminded me of her. That’s why I called you like that.” Tears filled his eyes while he spoke those words.
Radhika:” its ok bhai. You can call me choti. By the by what’s your name??????? “
Guy-1:” I’m Rohan Kapoor. What is your good name??????”
Radhika: “Radhika.”
Rohan: “Just Radhika???????? “
Before she could answer the train came to a halt at Rishikesh. Both of them sighed and said together: “I’ve to get down here.” They both laughed and hopped off the train.
Rohan:” I’ll drop you home choti. Come.”
Though she wanted to refuse him, she didn’t because she didn’t have any other means to reach home.
Radhika: “Thanks.” She muttered and sat in the car.
All the way to her home she was silent. Though Rohan felt something wrong, he didn’t interrupt her silence and let her remain in her own bubble of thoughts. Once they reached the gate, she thanked him and walked to her home. With a racing heart she rang the door bell.
Mala opened the door and saw Radhika with her bags. Mala: “Choti!!! Why are you standing outside??? Come on in.”
Dilip and Ankush rushed to the door hearing Mala spell choti. Seeing that Radhika was about to enter Dilip said:” Stop. What are you doing here????? Where is Arjun?????? “
Radhika:” Papa, I divorced him. The marriage was just an act to expose Nandini di in front of everyone and thus save Sam. I succeeded in it. So I moved on leaving Arjun sir with Sam as I had previously planned.”
Dilip slapped Radhika and said:” Do you think marriage is a play??????? It is a sacred relation. Do not insult it.” Saying this Dilip turned on his heels and left the room.
Radhika (with teary eyes and broke voice):” Bhai??????? “
Ankush: “You are dead to me since the day you married Arjun and questioned papa’s and Ma’s upbringing. “Saying this he closed the door on her face.
Radhika broke down seeing this act of her family. She expected them to believe her innocence. But all her dreams turned out to be wrong. She sat on the door step and buried her face in between her legs and cried out her heart. After a while, she sensed a protective touch on her shoulder. It was Rohan. He gave her a helping hand to get up. Radhika hugged him tight and cried into his chest.
Rohan: “Come on choti. We can go to our house.”
She nodded her head and sat in his car like an obedient child. Soon it started to drizzle before pelting down hard. It seemed as if nature too couldn’t bear her pain.

Dilip, Mala and Dadaji woke from their disturbed slumber hearing the scream” CHOTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII……” There was a flash of lightening and another thunder came rolling down rattling the windows and crockery’s in the kitchen. Due to the heavy rain, there was power cut. Dilip groped for the torch. Finally he found it and rushed to Radhika’s room to find a crying Ankush.
Seeing Dilip he said:” Papa, choti is nowhere to be seen. She might be scared.” Mala and Dadaji too joined them to say that Radhika was missing.
Mala sat on Rads bed and started crying. Dadaji too looked shaken. Dilip consoled them and gave his assurance that he will find her.
Dilip(in his mind)” Choti where are you??? God please keep my choti safe. “
Ankush went back to his bedroom and sat on the bed recollecting that day.
…………………………………….FLASH BACK ( 2 years ago)…………………….………………….
A girl can be seen sleeping peacefully hugging her teddy. This is Radhika. Suddenly she sat upright o her bed. Her body language and facial expressions suggests that she is scared. Just then lightening flashed her window. Without wasting a second, she picked up the pillow and blanket and ran to Ankush’s room. Hearing the roaring sound of thunder, she quickly jumped on the bed and snuggled closer to him and hugged him tight. She then covered herself with a blanket and put her leg across his thighs.
A mumbled “choti” and hugged her tight protecting her from her fears.

Ankush (to himself): “I hope you are not scared now choti. I’m sorry for not trusting you. The day I find you I’ll do as many sit up’s as you want. Please come back soon choti. “
