Superstar Singer is all set to entertain the audience once again with its second season. Superstar Singer 2 will provide a platform to some extraordinary little singers from across the country. Captains have been roped in to groom and mentor these young singing talents.
After Arunita Kanjilal and Pawandeep were confirmed to don the role of captain in the show, now Indian Idol Season 12 fame Sayli Kamble has also been roped in as the captain.
During a recent interview with BT, Sayli talked about it and shared, “Singing is my identity. Indian Idol was a starting point of my career and I owe it to the show and the channel, as they have been an important pillar for my growth. I am really thankful to them for believing in me and giving me a fantastic opportunity to be the captain of one of the most prestigious singing talent shows for kids. Superstar Singer season 1 left a mark in the minds of the entire country with the spectacular voices of the younger generation; I too was a big fan of the show. And, now getting a chance to mentor the ‘Singing Ka Kal’ is an overwhelming feeling for me. Making this journey more exciting is to be sharing the stage with my co-contestants from Indian Idol i.e. Pawandeep Rajan, Danish Khan, and Arunita Kanjilal as captains; can’t wait to start this new roller coaster ride with them. Also, I am extremely glad to be working with the talented Salman Ali, who has inspired me immensely. I have witnessed his struggle and seen how he has established himself as one of the best vocalists of his generation and I am glad to have got this chance to not only compete but also learn from him. I am all geared up to encourage young kids in an appropriate direction and instill confidence in their singing.”
