A young Ishan Kashyap enters a salon for haircut thinking he will be returning home after years for his sister’s engagement. A man shows him his daughter’s photo and says she is a perfect match for him. He asks if Daadi/grandma sent him and says his family doesn’t understand that he doesn’t want to marry. Man apologizes him. Ishan thinks why his family doesn’t understand that he cannot forget Suhana. At his home, Ishan’s grandmother Gayatri is busy online shopping when she gets Ishan’s call and thinks why he is calling her. Ishan’s badimaa/aunt Shailaja says she sent a girl’s father to a salon behind him with proposal. Gayatri says she will not rest until Ishan agrees for marriage. Badimaa asks if Ishan can forget Suhana and move on, seems like they are forcing him. Dadi says whatever it is, she just wants him to marry. Badimaa says Ishan will get a promotion and shift to Singapore soon. Daadi says she is worried for the same reason as there won’t be anyone there to take care of him. Ishika says Kashap family is weird, they had problem when girls used to reject Ishan bhai and now have problem when he is getting many proposal, what really they want. Dadi says they want Ishan to marry soon.
Dadaji Ambarnath Kashyap walks in laughing reading a jovial news on newspaper and says Suhana will also laugh if she reads this news. Gayatri says Suhana has gone out for shopping. Ishika takes Dadaji in. Dadi says since he got dementia, he is searching Suhana. Badimaa says they will find a girl soon and get Ishan married, then Dadaji’s dementia will be under control. Whole family is introduced. Their nok jhok and jokes start. They discuss about cricket match while having fritters. Ishant returns home and asks who sent a girl’s father to salon with marriage proposal. Ishwar jokes on him. Alok joins and jokes further. Ishan continues fuming. Family then pampers him and says like every Sunday, they will have dinner together and will prepare Ishan’s favorite rajma chawal. Ishan says he is going out tonight. They all feel sad.
Ishan visits a restaurant for dinner and orders a dessert Tiramisu for Suhana imaging her. She says she will not have it as it has excess calories. He insists. She eats some and enjoys it. He takes it back. She snatches it back and asks if he had his haircut at an unis*x salon. He asks how does she know. She asks why did he reject a proposal, girl’s father looked really sad. He says he cannot break promise made to her and cannot remarry. She says she frees him from her promise and he is free to remarry. He says he cannot as her love is enough to live his life. She says he needs a life partner who can chat with him and comfort him. He says his heart loves only her and he doesn’t have a place for anyone else in his life or heart, even family always pesters him to marry and he is tired now. She says lets finish tiramisu. He says he will leave now as badimaa is waiting for him. He says he has to move on for her sake. He sits sadly realizing its his imagination.
Ishan returns home and gets busy on laptop. Badimaa scolds him to rest now and asks what happened to his Singapore job, he should take her along there to take care of him. He asks her to be specific. She says its 7 years since Suhana is gone, so now he should move on as everyone needs a life partner. He says he is trying his best and even meeting girls, but its very difficult for him. She pampers him. He says it would be wrong if he says yes to any girl. She says he has to try and give a chance to a girl, maybe he will like one. He says its difficult, looking at Suhana’s pic. She says its difficult to lead a life alone giving her example and says she has a whole family, even then she feels alone. He asks her not to talk about it again. She leaves.
Next morning, family’s nok jhok starts. Ilesh reads news paper and asks what will they get with 1 rs. Dadaji gives a long list and asks about his favorite halwai. Alok says he is no more, then says he got transferred. Ishika pesters with Ishan. They all discuss wedding shopping. Ishan feels irritated and asks whose marriage. Rano says his marriage as Nikita’s father agreed and finally its his marriage. They all laugh on him while he thinks how can Nikita accept him, he needs to convince Nikita to reject this proposal. He meets Nikita and tries to convince her giving her many excuses. She finally denies to marry him. He happily calls Alok and informs same. Rano feels sad and cries. Alok comforts her and says they will find a best girl for Ishan. She asks when. Ishan gets stuck in traffic and walks towards office. He notices a girl carrying live crackers in her hand, throwing them on mob and stealing money. He follows her and catches her hand.
Precap: Ishan follows girl and asks people if they saw a girl who was looking like a goon. Girl walks to him and offers his kerchief.
