The episode starts with Sarojini giving makarsankranti festival’s required celebration items to Nirjhara. Nirjhara asks how did she buy them. Sarojini says she sold her bangles. Nirjhara gets angry. Sarojini consoes her and says she did not want to miss her first postmarriage makar sankranti/khichdi and says let us celebrat now.
Sarojini and Nirjhara perform khichdi rituals. Sarojini says she heard women become friends on his festival. Nirjhara says yes and she had made many friends at her parent’s place. Sarojini says let us become friends. Nirjhara gets excited hearing this and they both perform rituals and Nirjhara says if saas-bahu becomes friends, it would be very good. Sarojini says yes. Nirjhara gives her bangles and says she cannot reject her friend’s gift.
Tarika speaks to someone over phone and says to get rid of Sarojini, she needs to attack her weakness Soumendra. She turns and stops seeing Nirjhara and thinks she must have heard her and asks why did she come. Nirjhara says to befriend her. Tarika yells if she saw her face, she will never make friendship with people like her. Nirjhara gets sad. Tarika then says okay and becomes friend with rituals and takes her out. Sarojini gets happy seeing them together. Tarika asks Nirjhara to prove her friendship and slap Sarojini. Nirjhara says how can she without any reason. Tarika slaps her and yells that she will see how will they perform rituals.
Tarika goes and hides all utensils and says they cannot prepare feast now. Dadaji orders her to return utenils, but she yells at him and sends him away.
Sarojini brings new utensils and calls whole family. Nirjhara asks what did she sell now. Sarojini says she sold Tarika’s lehangas. Tarika shouts where did she get her lehangas. Sarojini says on terrace where she let them dry after a wash, they are so costly that she got all these utensils. Tarika angrily tries to slap her, but Dadaji holds her hand and warns her to be in her limits. Sarojini warns Tarika to mend her ways, else she will repent.
Precap: Soumendra informs Sarojini that he could not get Dushyanth’s bail as one more murder case opened on him. Sarojini says someone does not want Dushyanth out and they have to find out who he/she. Tarika hears their conversation hiding.
