Sanskar: My Kidnapper – chapter 16

*slight swearing….*

He slammed the door of his car walking towards his office building. His eyes glaring at everything in front of him. His assistant was on his nerves calling him every five minutes to check on him. Board meeting was set up in less than five minutes and he knew how important his presence was, in there. But he couldn’t control his mind from thinking about all possible mess that he could create to keep Maheshwari’s from the new deal coming up. Since Shruti was up nothing really went good with Gadodia’s or him. His parents were out of phase at what he was doing. His mother was sick and his father volunteered in taking a good care of her, leaving him to take care of the company. Now he and Mr. Gadodia looked after the remains from the loss of the digitalization project. Losing the project was an on face hit on them. Him, in particular.
The words as they fell out of Sanskar’s smirk clad mouth hit him as a nightmare every night.
More to be seen.

He banged his fist against the wall next to the elevator, pressing on the buttons harshly. The beep of the elevator brought his fingers on the buttons from ruining them anymore. He swiftly got into it pressing the button for thirteenth stage and stood leaning against the steel of the elevator. His breathing heavy, his eyes red, he looked as if he were ready to rip the head out of the person who spoke to him first.

The elevator beeped again, before opening the door for him to walk out. He strode his way to his cabin, walking through the greetings of his fellow employees. He came to a stop at the sound of his name, from rather unpleasant voice.

“Sahil… ” Mr. Gadodia called for him.
Sighing deeply, closing his eyes, to bury his fury inside him for the time being, he turned around to face him.

“hello, sir….” he greeted, his voice deep.

“I hope to meet you in my cabin. Today’s meeting has been postponed. ” his voice was thick and straight. His eyes glaring at Sahil.

“sure sir. ” he said before Mr. Gadodia walked away from him.

His hand bolted up to his neck, rubbing against the collar of his shirt, bringing all sort of accusations he’d get now. He knew sooner or later he had to face this.

His secretary walked up to him. Her hand went straight to his shoulder, rubbing soothing circles over there.

“it’s gonna be fine… ” her voice soft.

“it’s not…  ” was all he said before dragging her to his cabin  her hands. She struggled matching his pace, running and walking fast alternating in between.

“Sahil… ” she hissed as his hands grew tighter around her wrists.

As soon as he entered his cabin, he shut closed the door behind her, dragging her inside. Pinning her to the door, he held both of her hands in his, and leant down to her height, smashing his lips against hers. Kissing her with fervor, biting her lips, his hands went to her hair, pulling it hard. She struggled to match him. Her hands gripped his shirt against his chest. Eyes closed.

Few moments later, he broke up the heated kiss, breathing heavily. His eyes fixed on her lips which slightly bled at his nips. He walked away from her, to his chair. Sitting in his chair he leant his back leisurely against the backrest.
Steadying herself, she walked over to sit opposite to him.

“he wants to meet me… ” he said, his voice dangerous.

“it was your fault. You shouldn’t have trusted the one form Maheshwari’s company. He lied or maybe he had a false information. He is out of the company by the way.!” she said, calmly.

This wasn’t unusual of him behaving like that. He did that whenever he was frustrated. And she welcomed because she loved him, heartily. The mistake she did was she told him about her feelings, in spite of knowing he wouldn’t give a shit at it.

“after all the f**king things why does he want to See Me? I idiotically, went to his whore of a daughter to ask her to meet him and he starts yelling profainities at me when I’m back. There he is loyal… ” he grits his teeth, slamming his hands against the hard wood of his table.

“language…. ” she warns softly.
“you aren’t as faithful to him to speak about his faithfulness. You two aren’t very different from each other. It would be better if you go now.. ” says.

Tsk. That was a straight slap again. Now, he couldn’t hurt her. Not anymore when he realized that what she said was true. And not at all when the previous night he realized her importance in his life. Locking his mouth, he walked to the door, nodding at her briefly. Straightening herself, she follows him.
*
The knock on the door brought him to back from his thoughts.

“come in… ” he grunted, knowing who it was.

Sahil entered the cabin, tensed, with his secretary, Sana hot on his toes.

“close the door.” he ordered and she complied.

He took out a stack of papers from his right and slammed it in front of Sahil, quirking up his brows.

“what is this? ” he grunted dangerously deep.

“I’m.. ” Sahil stopped amid his sentence, glancing at Mr. Gadodia’s shaking form.

“that little boy, took the project away for the second time in two months. Now fill me with your nonsensical explanations. ” he glared.

Sahil glared back. Sana flinched.

“second time? ” he seemed oblivious.

The exact reason why Gadodia hates Sahil. He is always oblivious to things around him.

“the meeting which was held today was cancelled as they blo*dy found that Maheshwari’s planning was f**king awesome. They called back. And we are at the loss of the second project. ” he said fisting his fingers.
“This is being ridiculously a slap on the face. He’s new into business, and he knows how to take the orders away from the competitors.. And you, are fit for nothing. Coming up and warming your seat doesn’t fetch anything. Get on the floor. Take things to your hand. And from now on, I WILL NOT tolerate any losses. Do or die. Hook or crook. I want the projects. I want investors. ” he said, his voice deeper with each word.

Sahil nodded. His gaze fixed on his fingers. His voice caught in his throat.

“we have a meeting arranged with the younger Maheshwari. She wants you to be there with me. Two days later. ” he said, averting back to the excel sheet on his computer screen.
Sahil nodded and got up from his seat, walking back.

How he thought things would just f**k off when the younger Maheshwari dies. But now, she leaves him no options in meeting them. She has the nerve to tell him who was necessary for the meeting. And that little daughter of his was opened up to them. He couldn’t believe his ears when he was warned not to come without his wife. And he had to agree foreseeing the future of Gadodia industries.

His eyes closed shut at the irking feeling he was feeling from the day Shruti’s PA set up the meeting. Yelling at Sahil didn’t help soothing his nerves. His ignorance to things just made Gadodia’s nerves burn.

God knew why this idiot just came up with the idea of merger. Everything was fine at first. But everything started with digitalization. Everything started ruining from that point. He tried every means. He tried getting his own daughter kidnapped to get some soft corner from the investor. He tried drawing the attention of the media faking the kidnap of his daughter by Maheshwari’s. Even though it was partly true, nothing worked. And things f**ked up when Swara agreed that she went with her husband voluntarily.

His anger fuelled up with the memories and he knocked the things out of his table. Leaning his head on his palms which rested on his table, he breathed out an angry sigh, bringing himself together for the meeting in two days.

Sana knew Shruti wasn’t as sweet and innocent as she looks. Shruti would think thousand times before making a move and her every move are as meaningful as her firmness in her words and decisions. All Sana was now afraid of was how she would deal with Sahil. And all she could do was just hope it stays off fires. Sahil was as intimidating as shruti but she had a better brain.

Sana walked to his cabin with his black coffee in her shaking hands.

“come here…. ” he called her calmly, as she set his coffee on his table. His hands held hers, bringing her to sit on his lap.

“I’m sorry… ” he said, as the tip of his fingers brushed her lip where he’d nipped.

She flinched at the pain, but remained mum. He pecked her lips once, then nuzzled her neck.

“Sahil, she’s not easy to deal with. Why are you doing this? ” she frowned. He kept mum.
“I don’t want to lose you.. ” she said, slightly brushing his hair that were soft against her finger tips.

“you’re not looking down at me. Are you? ” he asked.

“no… ” she said immediately.
“I know her from years… ” and she knew he did too. After all Sanskar was his best enemy from the start.

“and you think, I’m easy? And I don’t know her as much as you do? ”

She shook her head, anything said would result in his anger which she didn’t want to deal with. She anyhow knew, the meeting ending with good terms was next to impossible.

Sanskar’s POV

I tensed as Swara’s question directed towards me. My siblings looked at me expectantly.

The flash of the day’s events made me flinch.

I breathed a sigh.

“your memory is quite faded, Swara… ” I said, remembering the exact things that took place.

“I was with Adarsh and Parineetha in the hospital. Some vaccine of Aadhya was pending so we were there to get it done.”

After we left the hospital, I walked up to my car, with Aadhya in my arms, asleep. I wanted to give the parents, much needed alone time so I asked them to go in their car and told them I’d follow them to the restaurant where laksh, ragini, Siddhanth and Shruti would meet us. We reached the restaurant. Adarsh had finished parking his car and walked into the restaurant before I did. I was on a call with laksh directing him to the restaurant. I had now awake Aadhya with me. And the other two sat inside the family room of the restaurant.

I heard the outburst of firing of guns and people near me ran helter and skelter. I stood there numb without knowing what to do. I strained my eyes to get a glance of any one among the two but I didn’t have a chance. Later, when the place was completely cleared, I walked in to see if they were still there. My instincts said they were still there. I slowly walked into the room which we had reserved to see the blood stains. Aadhya grew frantic over the situation and she wouldn’t stop crying. My legs shook when I set my way across from the table.

I dropped onto my knees are the sight. My eyes widened and my mind froze. The couple laid there on the floor in the pool of blood. Their body was worn out to show any sort of movement.

I slowly, reached for Pari’s hand to check her pulse. I strained my brain to concentrate. Her heart didn’t beat. I checked it with Adarsh, hoping. But it died the instant I couldn’t get his pulse.

I felt tears piercing through my eyes. I hugged aadhya closer to me, fearing they would take her away from me too. I remained silent until I recognized that laksh has arrived and he was also witnessing the situation. Ragini, his tag along.

My phone buzzed again but I fidgetted the need to receive the call. It was an unknown number. At last I received the call and held it to my ear. I heard a roar of laughter that combined with another, both men. I already knew who it was.

“eldest Maheshwari’s gone… Now comes the youngest Maheshwari.” he said and that was when my brain recognized, that shruti hadn’t come yet. As clichè as it sounds, I gritted my teeth warning him that I would see his end if something happened to her. He challenged me to come over to some address which I didn’t know. I debated whether or not to tell laksh.

He was silent. I knew he was shocked. So was I. But he was more. He wouldn’t have listened to me talking with that f**ker. Ragini asked me to go and get Shruti. I didn’t want to leave my brothers. But my sister was in danger that I reluctantly had to leave.

After what seemed forever, I reached there to see Siddhanth almost unconscious and shruti was being beaten up. As soon as I reached there I was held by my arms and I felt them beating me up too. But I couldn’t feel it as I was dumped up with many things on the same day. My sister cried begging them to stop hitting her. I could see them hitting her in all possible places but I was too numb to do something. My voice was stopped in my throat. My eyes started growing weak, my legs were weak and I was off.

The next thing I remember was getting up on the hospital bed. As soon as I opened my eyes, laksh smiled at me sadly.

“at least, you’re up… ” he said, kissing my forehead. I was strange. ‘Strange’ was an understatement. Reality dawned to me instantly. My eyes searched the whole room to see any other sibling of mine, possible.

“Adarsh and Parineetha are gone. Shruti is not waking up. She’s been sleeping since she’s been hospitalized. ” he said, his voice broke. His eyes held back the tears.

I was confused.

“she’s slipped into coma. ” ragini who came inside just then, filled me in.

‘Aadhya? ‘

“where is Aadhya? ” I asked fervently.

“she’s been kidnapped. ” laksh said, his teeth gritted.
“that dick said that ‘if, and only if you divorce your wife’, we will get her back. I don’t care about you or your wife Sanskar, I want my daughter. She’s all I’ve been left with. I don’t find a damn if you didn’t live your life happy with your wife. I want Aadhya. Now. ” he said and stormed out of the room.

“he doesn’t mean what he says Sanskar, please think over. Sahil’s just trying make you weak. ”

I flinched at his name. That son of a b*t*h should get to know who he was dealing with.

“I will divorce her. Aadhya is more important than her. ” I told her and before she could say, I held my phone which was on the stand next to me, to my ear, calling that idiot.

As soon as I got into the gate, I was invited by that douchèbag. He had Aadhya in his arms who was asleep. I just hoped he hadn’t fed poison to her.

“here. Take these and get it signed from her. Before that, you sign in them. ” he said, handing me the divorce papers. I glared at him and he smirked. I swore that second, I would snap that face of his and he’ll never be able to smile again.

I walked into Mr. Gadodia’s house. I asked some random guy there to call Swara. My heart was racing and my tears pierced my eyes.

Swara ran up to me, her eyes looking at me expectantly.

“sign these Swara…. ” I said handing her the papers. My voice void of emotions.

A glance at them was enough for anyone to tell what it was. She shot a look at me before her eyes streamed.

“even you grew tired of me? ” she asked, hurt.

I bit my lip from saying anything.

“just do it, already. I have many things to do. ” I said, sternly, looking everywhere but her.

Not a question was asked not an answer was told. She signed it and handed it to me. She hugged me once tightly before running away as soft sobs escaped her lips. My hand craved to touch her. But I feared the consequences. That little life in the arms of demon should not be harmed.

“good! ” he said as I walked out of the door to get Aadhya. I just hoped he didn’t play any trick.

“here you go with your Barbie… ” he said as he handed me the baby.
Ass.

I left. I hired a private investigator to investigate about things happened with shruti. After much enquiries, all he got was Swara’s number. Then, I assumed she had something to do with it. I had her kidnapped by laksh.

I smiled sadly at them. Not since that day, the day Adarsh was dead, laksh showed much of emotions. He never cried. I did try a lot. Output void. Shruti didn’t cry too.

I feared Swara’s reaction regarding Sahil. I had mentioned him only once though. Maybe she hadn’t listened to it.

“Swara, did your father ever hurt you physically?” shruti asked, switching the conversation.

“many times.” she answered. I never knew about it. She never said anything about it. She never spoke about her family in that case.

“do you want your mom? ” laksh asked, though the answer was obvious.

“of course… ” she said.

I could see where the conversation was heading.

“will you fight for yourself? ”

“I…. ” she glanced at me.

“will you? ” I asked softly.

She nodded with a second thought.

“then, we will show them what Maheshwari’s are! ” laksh said. I nodded. The meeting was up. In two days.

So here we have Sanskar’s POV of what happened. Four others left. And also the enemies… I hope I’ll be able to complete it within 25 chapters without dragging it.
