AMERICA:
SHAUKAT’S HOUSE:
The episode begins with shaukat heating burgers in the microwave and jay exclaims that technology is amazing but cannot equal to the fresh air, and tandoori food of India. Shaukat agrees and talk about tasty chicken with green chutney, and jay is baffled. Shaukat offers jay burger and he enquires if it veg and shaukat replies that its non-veg. He is quiet surprised to know that jay is a vegetarian, and says that he has only bread to offer as the rest of the food is non-veg, jays okay with it and has bread with milk. Shaukat says that now they can go to police station lodge a complain and then go to shaukats workplace.
BHOOMIS HOUSE:
Bhoomi’s getting ready for work and is running late, when she notices the bag and tells that she has to retun the bag also, and open the bag. She finds the tin of ladoos, passport bag, and when she’s about to look at the passport her alarm goes on and the passport falls down, which goes unnoticed by bhoomi and she rushes to work.
BHOOMIS OFFICE:
(Same office where jay is offered the job)
Bhoomi meets her friend in office and her friend is surprised to see her in the office on time, to which bhoomi says that she’s on time because she has found her purpose in life and that she wants to be a designer and shows her some designs that she drew. On seeing those designs her friend says they are really good, and at that precise moment their boss enters and tells bhoomi off for not doing the assigned work and getting influenced towards things which take her away from her job.
Bhoomi’s upset and her friend tells her not to loose hope, and her designs are good. Bhoomi says that even thought they are good, those designs are useless as they are not recognized.
SHAUKAT-JAY CONVERSATION:
Cut to shaukat who is driving the cycle rickshaw(his job), and gives some bread to jay to eat, and jay enquires about the job. Shaukat says that what job can he get for a textile engineer, to which jays says that he is an usless person now, as he lost everything, his passport, work permit, certificates, etc, and any work done with dedication and hard work is not small and he decides to drive the cycle rickshaw till he gets back his certificates.
JAY ON THE ROAD:
Jay struggling to drive the rickshaw, and has flashback of him receiving the best student of the year.
GUJARAT:
JAY’S HOUSE:
Jay’s dad and ansubaa are sitting and talking when the munshiji(cahsier) comes and ansubaa asks him regarding his arrival at this late at night, when he says that he came to talk about the cheque which they gave for the ashram. Jay’s dad asks if they were not issued, to which munshi replies that they were issued but it may be their last cheque as their financial condition is bad and if they have to give away any more cheques for donation, Anusbaa says that the cheques have to definitely be issued as these orphaned children depend on them, and this parampara should not break. Munshi tells okay and takes leave,
Jays dad also asks ansubaa whether they should issue these donations as their financial condition is really weak this time, to which anusubaa says that she has full faith in both her kishen.
AMERICA;
PARK:
A group of girls are laughing and maasi( the old lady whom jay met at the temple) taunts them saying why are they laughing like this. To which jay whose sitting on his rickshaw, says that when people cannot smile truly atleat they can take the help of fake laughter. Maasi hears this and jay also sees her and recognizes her as the person whom he met at the temple, who gave him 10 dollars. He is about to return it when she says that he has to return it only when he comes to her house.
She notices jay looking tensed and she asks him the reason. He tells about his lost bag, and maasi tells that it was lost in the mandir so the person must be an Indian, who goes to temple. So she asks him to search in Indian locality, but then she says that it may take time. So she gives him an idea to talk in an Indian radio, and gives him a girls number whose working in the radio, and asks him to speak with the girl and maybe listening to his story maybe she may help him out. Jay thanks maasi.
BHOOMI IN JAY’S RICKSHAW:
Bhoomi along with her client gets into jay’s rickshaw and jay and struggling to drive the rickshaw, as a result bhoomi’s phone is about to slip out of her hands and she tells him to drive carefully in hindi, and jay’s surprised and asks if she’s Indian. Then bhoomi’s stole gets stuck in the wheel of the rickshaw, and she asks jay to stop the rickshaw, and gets angry on jay, as her stole is torn, Bhoomi is angry as her dress is torn and she is with her client and not dressed properly, to which jays takes the stole and makes a flower with the torn part of the stole and gives it back to her. She asks how he knows this to which jay says that he is an Indian and knows how to mend his mistakes. BHoomi gives him 25 dollars. Jays seeing the money wonders how he is going to earn money.
PRECAP:
Jay goes to the radio station and tells he’s a textile engineer and bhoomi’s listing to this and is about to tell his name.
