Recap: addy’s bday…. Dp’s outburst….. Sanskaar upset with ragini……
DELHI!!!
Ragini and Sanskaar comes back home in the evening….. Mohan serves them coffee and snacks and then leaves for his house.
Sanskaar: ginu……
Ragini: hmm??
Sanskaar: i’ll come back after changing…. U too change…. Then we can hv dinner…..
Ragini: So early??
Sanskaar: yeah tomorrow I hv to go early so I’ll sleep early… N tomorrow i’ll send the driver to pick u…
Ragini: no that’s okay… I’ll come…
Sanskaar: u sure??
Ragini: yeah….
Both went to their respective rooms to change and were a little upset as they were talking somewhat formally…. They got freshen up and ragini came to kitchen in her tee and pajama and started making dinner. Sanskaar was still in his room. Ragini felt bad as everyday he used to help her in making dinner.
” He might b tired yaar… Today it was so hectic for him…. ” she consoled herself… And soon she diverted her mind to food and cooked sanskaar’s favourite matar paneer and raita with chapattis….. She placed the dishes on the table and called for hi…..
” sanskaarrrrrr…… Come down… Food is ready….. “” she shouted from down as she kept the water on the table.
” coming ” He said back…..
After few minutes he descended down in his shorts and tee… They both sat down and had their dinner silently.
Sanskaar ( wiping his hands after washing ): ginu I’m going… I hv to see some files…. n I’m Sorry that I couldn’t help u today…..
Ragini: its okay sansku…. U go i’ll manage….
Sanskaar smiled and went from there to his room. Ragini resumed het work and started washing dishes.
Ragini: arre sansku… Wipe it properly….
She said without realising that he’s not there. She pressed her lips and controlled her tears to come out.
Ragini: calm down ragini….. Kuch pane k liye kuch khona padhta hai…….. I’m sure he’ll understand y I did this…..
She cleaned all the dishes and switched off all the lights…. As she was abt to enter her room she saw that the lights of his room was still on. It was decided that there will b no compromise in the work so if he’ll hv important meetings the next day they’ll sleep in their own rooms.
Ragini: y didn’t he sleep till now?? ——- should I go n check?? ——— But if he got angry??? ——– But wht if there is some problem??? —— I’ll go quietly and see —— yeah that’ll b okay…..
She removed her slippers and her kadas ( bangles) and tip toed to sanskaar’s room. She peeped in from the window and saw him working on the laptop but water was coming from his eyes as he was continuously working from morning. He was rubbing his temples also. She got worried for him and went down.
Ragini: arre aisa bhi kya kaam yaar ki tabiyat hi kharab ho jae???? Huh…. Arre agar thik nhi rahega toh kaam kaise karega…. He’s such an idiot…… Stupid Sansku…. Yes his new name…. ” SS”…. ( wht type of work is this that our health is spoiled…. If he’ll not b healthy then how will he work?? )
She came in kitchen and heated the coconut oil and came back to his room. She knocked the door and went inside.
Sanskaar: ginu… U here?? Is everything fine???
Ragini: no…
Sanskaar ( standing and cupping her face): y?? Wht happened?? Do u hv fever?? But doc said that u r absolutely fine now…..
Ragini: sansku sansku….. I’m fine…. But u r not….
Sanskaar: wht has happened to me??
Ragini: don’t show this attitude to me….. Come sit here ( she makes him sit ) …. I’ll apply oil on ur head and will do a first class champi then all ur headache will furrrr away and u’ll get peaceful sleep।……
Sanskaar ( getting up ): ginu… I don’t hv time for all this… I hv to do much work… I hv to make this presentation also…. I know all the points so it won’t take much time….. N it was decided that there’ll b no compromise in work….
Ragini: ik…. But u can’t compromise with ur health also na…. Just look at ur eyes….. Common sansku…. Who’s telling u to compromise?? u can get up early in the morning and Complete ur work…. Common now….. N i’ll make sure that u get up by 5 o clock…
Sanskaar: no 4…
Ragini: okay baba… 4 o clock….. Now come sit…. Look I hv set the alarm also…
Sanskaar nods and sits on the bed. Ragini too sits behind him and applies oil on his hair and does his champi and also massages his shoulders and temples. She presses his hands and fingers coz due to continuous working on laptop, it was paining him there. She also massaged his feet. He slowly slept as he was really tired. She smiled and kissed his forehead and covered him with the blanket.
She turned to leave but saw that there were still worry lines on his forehead. She sighed and again planted a soft kiss on his forehead and smiled as he smiled in his sleep . She took the files and laptop and switched off the lights and went to her room.
Ragini came to her room, closed the door and tied her hair in a top bun. She took a pencil and paper and went through the files thoroughly. She marked all the necessary points. It was 1 am now. She went and checked on sanskaar and found him sleeping hugging a pillow. She smiled and went to kitchen and prepared coffee for herself. …. She came back to her room yawning.
She sat down on the couch now and started making the presentation… She sipped her coffee and went to wash her face as she was feeling really sleepy……
Now it was 3:30 am and ragini finally closed the laptop and rested her head on the back rest.
Ragini: finally….. Its done……. How much sansku has to do everyday…. Omg… I never imagined this… Well now I should go quickly and switch off the alarm otherwise his sleep will get disturb… And now I should put 5-6 alarms for myself so that I can get up……..
She took the files and laptop up again to his room and kept them at their places without making any noise and took the alarm clock and went from there after caressing his hair.
She came back to her room and put three different alarm ⏰ clocks in different places a bit far from her bed and then few 7-8 ? alarms in her phone……
” now hopefully I’ll get up before he gets up….. Good night… I mean good morning bhagwan ji…… ” thought ragini and dozed off………………
NEXT MORNING!!!!
KOLKATA!
Ap, sujata, pari and swara were preparing breakfast. It could be clearly seen that both swara and Pari had cried whole night…. Their swelled eyes could tell u that.
Ap and sujata felt helpless looking at their bahus…….
Ap: pari.. Swara….
Both: ji maa??
Ap: beta… Pls don’t take his words on ur heart….
Sujata: haan… He’s not bad from heart… This I hv realised though after much time but…..
Pari: maa…. The breakfast is ready…
Swara: and maa tea also…. We’ll place it on the table….
They both smiled weakly and went from there with trays ignoring ap’s and sujata’s words. They both sighed.
Sujata: jijji…..
Ap: don’t worry sujata… They both r very intelligent they’ll understand….
Sujata: but jijji…. Its abt pari’s daughter and swara’s self respect…. N it won’t b easy for them….
Ap: I know sujata….. Come lets go…..
All the maheshwari’s silently have their breakfast with painful eye locks between swalak, parish and RamTa!!!!!! Later the men went to office while the ladies got busy with their household chores.
DELHI!!!!
As the sun rays fall on sanskaar’s face he turns and asks ragini to pull the curtains….. He then gets up quickly and see the time…. Its 5:55 am…… He gets soo angry. He throws the clock on the floor which breaks. He gets up and shouted on top of his voice.
” RAGINIIIIIIIIIIIII…….. ” shouted sanskaar from his room.
Ragini who was sleeping peacefully fell down from the bed listening to her name filled with so much anger, irritation and wht not…..
” oh fish…… Y he has to get up now!?? Bas 5 minutes aur so jata sanskaar…… Abb toh main gayi……… ” she thought slapping her forehead. She switched off all the alarms.
” RAGINIIIIIII….. ” He again shouted bringing her back from her thoughts… She jerked and got up and ran to his room.
She immediately went in his room and kept her foot on the broken clock, unknowingly. She winced in pain .
” ouchh….” she whispered which was inaudible to sanskaar.
He turned around and ragini stood straight forgetting her pain. Sanskaar came near her and held her shoulder tightly, making it more difficult for her.
Sanskaar: u promised me na ginu that u’ll wake me up?? Haan???? Then y.. Y did u do this ragini??????? answer me damn it ………
He pushed her a bit. A lone tear escapes her eye which she wipes before he notices.
Ragini: sansku voh actually…….
Sanskaar: wht actually?? Ginu….. u know na that its such an important deal for us…. If we cracked this then we’ll b the top company in the export and import business of India…… Ragini y don’t u understand????
He shouted on her moving here n there pulling his hair. …
Ragini: ik sansku….. Ik its very imp for u….
Sanskaar: no ragini…. U don’t know….. Coz u were not here when I was struggling to raise this company……. U don’t know coz this company was handed over to me…… U don’t know coz I promised kaka ( Mr kapoor ) that I’ll take care of his company……… Ragini if it was my own company na then it wouldn’t hv matter but this is kaka’s company ragini n I can’t compromise on his part…….. U won’t understand anything……… U won’t coz u weren’t kicked out of ur house and were made to struggle to prove ur self………….
He screamed on her without even realising wht he said at last and this was the break even point….
Ragini… Only she knows that she was kicked out by her own father, her so called step sister and mother though she misses them but she can’t forget wht she felt when they disowned her….. And he.. Sanskaar was also there listening to all that still he have this perception abt me???????? Ragini had had enough……
Ragini ( she pointed her index finger and said looking straight into his eyes…..): enough…… Enough is enough Mr. Sanskaar Maheshwari Kapoor!!!!!! Enough………… ( her teary eyes and his angry eyes gets locked in a painful yet aggressive eye lock ) wht do u think haan ???? That I was sleeping peacefully for 8 long hours keeping all ur dreams on peak??? No sanskaar….. No…… I’m not like that which u think……. I really don’t care now wht u feel or think abt me…… Got it???? N u also know whether I was ever kicked out of my house or not???? I never asked u to bring me here….. But u brought me here n I’m thankful to u…. N I can thank u for that for my whole life…… But don’t forget sanskaar if u were there to give me ur shoulder to cry then u also had Mr. Kapoor by ur side……. No…. Stop it…. ( she showed her hand to him as he was abt to say something realising his mistake ) let me Complete……….. I know that our situations were different but u hv no right to say anything like that and put salt on my wounds which once u hv healed…….. ( both cry…..) I told u na that I will not compromise with ur work….. Then I hv kept my promise….. For once just open ur damn laptop and see the file no. 267 Mr James Harrison on desktop…. U’ll find ur presentation……. And I’m sorry that I thought abt u… Ur health….. I’m really sorry……….
She joined her hands and left from there without waiting for his reply and closed the door with a bang bringing sanskaar out of his thoughts. His throat went dry to say anything. …… He opened his laptop and saw the presentation was ready. He kept his hand on his mouth and ran our of his room but came back and saw blood on the floor. He then remembers ragini standing there only. He feels weak in his knees but gets up and runs to her room but she was no where to be seen……….
” RAGINIIIIIII…… ” He again shouted and pulled his hair in frustration. He checked kitchen, store room, terrace but couldn’t find her anywhere.
” I’m sorry ginu….. I’m sorry….. .. ” He cries sitting on the floor.
He calls ragini but her phone rings in her room only. He bangs his hand on the table.
He gets call from Pooja.
Sanskaar: hel… Hello Pooja…..
Pooja: bhaiya… R u okay???
Sanskaar: yeah u say??
Pooja: voh Mr. James will b reaching in another hour.
Sanskaar: okay…. I’m coming……
He cuts the call and goes to his room. He takes out his clothes and went to take shower.
He goes in flashback where he promised Mr. Kapoor that he’ll take care of his company.
* FLASHBACK *
Sanskaar ( holding Mr. Kapoor’s [ PUNEET ISSAR ] hand who’s lying on the hospital bed ): kaka…. Pls don’t leave me….. Pls……. I’ll become orphan again…… Pls kaka……..
He cries keeping his head on his hand. he places his hand on his head. Sanskaar lifts up his head.
Kapoor: sanskaar….. Bete……. Promise me that u’ll take care of my company and will make it the top company of India and of the world…… Promise me sanskaar!!!
Sanskaar: I promise u kaka….. But pls dont leave me…….. Let Di ( Mr. Kapoor’s daughter whom he calls di) come…. Pls don’t go kaka…..
Kapoor: beta…. She won’t be able to see me like this….. Promise me that u’ll take care of her and never let her break….. U r my last hope beta……
Sanskaar: I promise u kaka….. Pls don’t go na…..
He cries miserably!! Tey both knew their importance in each other’s lives. Kapoor has no one with him when his only daughter got married to an nri and shifted to Australia. He became alone but then he met sanskaar…. And sanskaar’s story everyone knows. …
* FLASHBACK ENDS *
Sanskaar Comes out of bathroom, his eyes red due to continuous crying. He wears his formals and headed out with laptop and files like a lifeless body. There was a little hope that she might be in office which made him drive fast. He couldn’t break his kaka’s promise nor he could let ragini break but somewhere in his heart he knew that he has again broken her.
He reached his office and rushed inside. He bumped into Pooja.
Pooja ; wht happened sir??
Sanskaar: Pooja …. Where is ginu??
Pooja ( seeing his tension and seriousness): bhaiya….. Bhabhi didn’t came till now buy she has left this note ? for u…..
Sanskaar: from where did u get it??
He asked snatching the letter.
Pooja: when I came here it was already kept on my desk…. ( he nodded) bhaiya wht happened?? Did u again fought with her???
Sanskaar: I don’t know Pooja wht happens to me when this work comes?? I forget that the ppl who r working are human beings and not machines…. Now I realized how much I used to torture u all…….. Well I need to go now….. Just inform me when Mr. James will come…..
Pooja nodded and he headed towards his cabin.
Pooja: u never tortured us bhaiya….. I’m sure bhabhi will change u n u’ll become more good and calm person……. But bhabhi where r u ???????
She thinks…….
Sanskaar keeps the things on the table and sits on the couch. He takes a deep breath and opens the letter. There were tear marks on the paper and the handwriting was distorted which meant that she was shivering while writing and crying too. Sanskaar heart pained.
As he read the letter, his face became pale and a tear escaped his eye!!!
