Chapter 7 – Dhruv bhai and Harsh come to Baadi
At Maheshwari mansion entrance, all are in the hall when ragini enters holding harsh’s hand. Dhruv comes there just then,
Ragini calls out loudly : Swara!
All are amazed too see ragini thus, Swara goes and hugs her happily.
Uttara : wow! Ragini What an awesome change!
Sanlak who come down just then are looking at her Dreamily.
Lucky : Swara who’s this? I mean I feel like I’ve seen her somewhere !
Swara hits him : It’s ragini, idiot!
Laksh as if realized : Saalisahiba! you look awesome today.
Sanky is observing all, but what gets him irked is that harsh and ragini are holding hands.
Sanky looking at harsh : dost who’s this ? (Swara observes sanskar’s jealousy and smiles)
Ap :ohho, all questions you guy’s will ask her at the door only or what? Come beta come inside.
Ragini, Harsh and dhruv sit on the sofa.
Swara : ragini, now tell who are they ?
Ragini smiles : Swara, this is our bhai dhruv, Shailaja bua’s son.
Swara squels : Wow!! we have a bhai to.
She goes and hugs him. Dhruv smiles at her gesture and gives her the gifts : so this one’s for my sister I’m sorry I couldn’t come to your wedding.
Swara happily : It’s okay bhai, now that your here you won’t go till ragini’s wedding okay?
Dhruv smiles nodding :okay
Sanky feels restless : and whose that one dost ?
Ragini notices the change in sanky’s expression and thinks to herself “behenji right! now lets see what this behenji does”
She holds harsh’s hand and says : This is Harsh, Dhruv bhai’s childhood friend and mine best friend !
Sanky thinks to himself “If he’s best-friend then what’s the need to hold hands? We to had best-friends but we didn’t hold hands like that”
Swaragini are at swalak’s room. Dhruv and Harsh are down talking with dp and rp some business stuff.
Sanlak are outside the room, Sanky feels restless and Lucky chuckles.
sanky gives him a look : What???
Lucky : Nothing, come lets listen what my gharwali and adhi gharwali’s are talking about.
Sanky : You go, I’m not interested in girl talks.
Lucky : arrey, bhai! I bet they would be talking about harsh.
Sanky lifts his Brows up suspiciously : how do you know??
Lucky : She’s my wife but a girl to and girls talk about boys and stuff you come.
They’re behind the door trying to listen Swaragini’s convo, Laksh makes a noise and swara understands,
Swara : So my dear sister, harsh hhaa…
Ragini : What harsh ?? We are just friends yaar, best friends I told you in the hall right.
Sanky behind the door gets relieved lucky whispers “bhai these girls say like that only swara also first said that I was her bestfriend and now see we are husband and wife” sanky gets tensed again lucky observes all this but controls his laughter
Swara : I also had best friends but we never held our hands like that !
Ragini : shut up okay. (she blushes )I had a crush on him in childhood.
Now that’s what I call a shock, 360 volts ka jhatka! sanky is a bit shaken but then the door opens and both our sanlak fall inside to the ground
Swara : What the hell !
Ragini : Where you guys listening to what we were talking about???
Lucky :No, no, not at all! We are gentlemens, we don’t do such stuff’s…
Swara keeps her hands on her waist : Then gentlemen’s what were you doing there leaning at the door like a thief?
Lucky : arrey that! bhai…
They look at sanskar who says : me?
Lucky : yea bhai YOU! wanted to copliment on ragini’s look right?
Sanky : yea yea, yes i wanted to.
Swara facepalms herself : then do na, what are you waiting for?
Ragini goes a bit forward : Sanskar so, how do i look ???
Sanky trying to say something but yet it becomes clumsy : You look .. you look like modern behenji.
Swara hits her forehead with her hand, while ragini fumes with anger and says “thanq for the wonderful compliment!” she goes in a tiff from there.
Lucky looks at sanskar with disbelieve : seriously bhai? modern behenji !
Swara : and that was a compliment. Wow! can we have some claps??
And she leaves from there frustrated. Sanky makes a sad face, Lucky just looks at him.
At the baadi; ragini comes inside with anger, she doesn’t talk to anyone and leaves to her room
Sumi to harsh : isse kya hua beta ??
Harsh makes a “i donno face” dhruv : Don’t no mami, I guess she had a fight with swara maybe.
Ragini’s in her room “MODERN BEHENJI!! Are you serious? ” she goes in front of the mirror and sees herself ” you know what Mr.maheshwari you’ve gone blind or either you just don’t want to compliment me. By the way, why does it affect me? you know what? go to hell !!”
It’s morning and as usual, Ragini’s attire is changed but her attitude and simplicity will never change. She’s doing tulsi pooja and her sweet voice makes everyone’s morning wonderful, she gives everyone aarthi, just then sujatha and sanky come there too. She gives them the arthi and goes inside.
Sumi astonished : Sujatha jii, you here ??
Sujatha : yea, actually swara and jiji have gone to do shopping for janmashthami and sanskar wanted to meet ragini soo.
Sumi : No problem, come inside and sanskar beta you go to ragini’s room
Sanky nods and leaves. Ragini’s wearing her earrings sanky comes there and is just mesmerized to see her.
sanky : hie !
Ragini is happy to see him but angry at the same time.
Sanky brushes his hair with his hand thinking what to say : Actually ragini, I’m sorry.
Ragini looks at him surprised.
Sanky embarrassed : I really didn’t meant to hurt you it’s just that …
Ragini anxiously : that???
Sanky : I donno how to compliment girls.
Ragini laughs : Seriously, what boy won’t know to compliment a girl sanskar?
Sanskar too smiles seeing her thus, Ragini tries putting her chain but she couldn’t. Sanskar goes forward and helps her putting the chain. They look at each other through the mirror.
Sanky whispers in her ear: You look beautiful, as always ragini…
Ragini smiles and they share an eyelock, Harsh comes in just then and they compose themselves
Harsh awkwardly : Sorry, if i disturbed you guy’s
Sanky gets angry at his arrival but ragini says : Not at all, Sanskar was just helping to put this chain on.
Harsh : well, Miss.Beautiful has someone said this to you that day by day your beauty just goes on increasing.
Ragini blushes at his compliment : Well thanks, but right now I’ve some work in the kitchen come help me.
They leave, sanky’s fuming in jealousy that ragini forgot him in harsh’s presence !
Outside, Swara and Ap have come from the shopping, Ragini is showing her the childhood photos. In one photo Harsh and Ragini are fighting and In other harsh has a bucket on his head and a broomstick in his hand.
Swara grinning : Harsh, were you trying to be a witch with a flying broom?
All burst out laughing, Harsh brushes his hair in embarrassment. Dhruv says : He was trying to be a bucket man who fly’s on broomsticks!
Then there’s a pick where Harsh is on his knees giving Ragini a rose (these are childhood photos)
Swara concludes : So, this proves that you’re a born flirt!
Harsh smirks : It’s something that’s inbuild sweet heart, he leans towards her.
“uhhmm” it’s lucky : Well, you see sweet heart has my name written in her heart. Why don’t you try some where else.
Sanky gets up and goes towards him.
Ap : Laksh beta, you said you had important meetings?
Lucky trying to make an excuse : Maa, actually the meeting got over so I came here.
Sanky whispers in his ears : Meeting got over or you got afraid of this flirt having some of his cheesy lines on your wife?
Lucky whispering back : My bro, don’t be afraid of me, mera kya hai, we are married ! But what about Ragini? She’s so bholi-bhaali, what if this flirt with his cheesy lines has a century on her? and uhhm! you get clean bold…
Sanky fake smiles at him : Where did you learn such cheesy commentary from my dear brother??
Swara interrupting : If brotherly romance is over, then can I have a talk with my patidev?
Sanky : Ofcourse! he’s all yours.
Sanky leaves and sits next to ragarsh. (Ragini and Harsh)
Ragini : You looked cute, when you were young.
Harsh : Yea, I know thanks, but now I look hot and happening don’t I?
Ragini : Ohh, thats so sad because I like cute and handsome boys even now, just like sanskar.
Swalak and Sanskar look at her surprised
Ragini realizes what she said and changes the topic : I’ve got some work in the kitchen.
Harsh frustrated : How many times kitchen Ragini??
Ragini annoyed: What’s your problem? It’s my choice.
She goes, harsh looks confused: What did I do ?
Lucky goes to him consoling : Bro girls and moodswings come in the same packet.
Swara follows Ragini : So, Cute and Handsome haa? I guess I should tell maa, to start looking for a guy for you.
Ragini makes an excuse : It was just a slip of tongue, my mistake.
Swara : ohh, so you mean sanskar isn’t cute and handsome? (she makes a fake sad face)
Ragini : no he is ….
Swara chuckles : okk fine come lets go out and see what the boys are upto!
Sanky : dost I want to go to mandir with you.
Sujatha : but beta, it’s evening.
Sanky : Maa, badimaa says there’s no visiting time to meet bhagwanji please na dost !
Ragini : Its okk chachi ji, we’ll come back soon.
Harsh : Hey! mandir, me too yaar, atleast it will be something different atmosphere.
Lucky : dude how about club, I mean maa and chachi will wait here for sanskar, till then we’ll have some fun and then we’ll go to pick them okay?
Harsh : That sounds even more cool.
They leave Swara wishes “Please god, this time make it all right ” she feels a bit restless suddenly she calls out “Ragini !”
Ragini turns towards her “yes swara? ”
“Take care ” ragini smiles and nods
In the mandir,
Ragsan have darshan, Pandit ji : arrey, beta you look even more beautiful in this new dress.
Ragini blushes and takes his ashirwaad, sanskar to himself “see how you are, even the pandit knows to compliment and look at you !”
As they are moving down on the stairs, a old man is sitting down he’s sick. Ragini gives him something to eat, meanwhile sanskar goes and brings a bottle of water for him. The old man blesses “bhagwan tumdono ki jodi banaye rakhe!”
Ragini gets shy a bit, but doesn’t correct the pandit to avoid further conversation.
Sanskar : We’ll be happy together, once you forgive me
Ragini looks at him confused : Forgive you ??
Sanskar : For being bad at giving compliments, even the mandir’s pandit ji knows how to compliment.
Ragini amused : Really? How about you take some classes from him? he’ll give you free bhajan lessons too!
Ragini chuckles and Sanskar looks at her amused. She runs from there to the road unknown of the car approaching towards her. Sanskar sees it and is shocked, he shouts “ragini!…..
A strange silence spreads for a few seconds, Sanskar is shocked to see Ragini lying down on the opposite side of the road surrounded by a pool of blood. He runs towards her and holds her in his arms “Ragini wake up, Ragini! someone call an AMBULANCE !”A man calls an auto and says “you take her in auto or else it might get serious” sanskar complies and lifts her up.
In the auto “Ragini !” he sprinkles some water on her she opens her eyes little “Ragini look please dont close your eyes I’m with you please try to keep them open we’ll reach the hospital soon”
At the hospital, Sanskar comes holding Ragini in his arms shouting for doctor. Doctor comes and checks her; the wardboy gets a stretcher and they take her to the OT.
Nurse : Sir. I need some details of the patient so please cooperate
He complies,
The nurse asks him some questions and lastly takes his sinatures on the papers.
The operation is going on and Sanskar receives a call,
Lucky :bhai, where are you ?
Sanky : Lucky…
he tells him everything, lucky gets shocked : bhai, don’t take tension we are coming there.
At baadi, swara is restless since ragini left and now even her phone is switched off. Lucky calls swara and tells her everything.
The phone falls from her hand,
All get worried
Sumi : Shona (she shakes her but she doesn’t respond so she picks up her phone) : laksh??
Lucky : maa, Ragini ka accident ho gaya hai, please come to SNS hospital soon.
They move in a hurry
At hospital, Lucky hugs Sanskar and tries consoling him;
Swara, ap, sumi all come there worried.
Sanskar is not in the mode to say anything, swara comes in front of him “Sanskar !” she slaps him hard.
