After essaying the lead in May I Come In Maddam, actor Sandeep Anand vanished from the screen. We saw him only on counted occasions and that too in cameos. It was, however, his separation with wife Shraddha that caught eyeballs where he confirmed that same. But it looks like that it was a black cloud which has passed away and the bright light is back in his life.
That brief period of separation led to many rumors that he is divorced from his wife and he is single. But putting all that to rest, Anand opened up on the same in an interview with ETimes TV. He said, “I’m surprised when people ask me how life is after divorce! Who said I’m single? My wife Shraddha, who is a COVID frontline worker, and I are very much together. I’m also getting to spend quality time with my four-year-old son in the lockdown. There were issues and we did live separately for a while. While Shraddha was living with her parents, I was living with my family. We chose to do it only to take a step back, introspect and work on our relationship. Now we are back together. I had never filed for a divorce and don’t know why such rumours were making headlines. It affected my personal and professional life.”
When asked as to what is keeping him away from TV, he said, “I wanted to do something different after May I Come In Madam? show. I’m not staying away from TV willingly, but nobody is offering me good content or good money. Main television de door nahin gaya, television mujhse door chala gaya. We all want to grow as artistes in our career and after having worked on TV for 13 year years, I want to take up shows that are better than what I had been doing in the past and offer me more money than I’ve already been earning.”
