This OS begins from the time Naina asked Sandhya about the expired medicines…
Sandhya: Karan! Naina is accusing me of something I did not do!
Naina: Karan! Believe me! I didn’t…
Karan: Naina! How could you accuse Maasi Maa?
Naina: Give me a chance to explain Karan…
Karan: Get out!
Naina looked on, shocked and whispered, “What?”
Karan: I said get out!
Naina silently packed her bag and left quietly with tears in her eyes and a broken heart. She was leaving and she wasn’t taking anything with her. Neither the broken promises nor the shattered dreams. She had been vulnerable when it came to him and he had shattered all her dreams by mistrusting her.
That night, both Karan and Naina were restless.

Naina thought about the first time she met Karan, the way they became friends, their confession of love and then how Karan mistrusted her. She broke into tears. The worst kind of pain didn’t come from enemies, it came from people you trusted and loved.
Aadat hai teri
Ya tera nasha hai
Kaise bataaun tujhko rehbara
Ve aaj ro len de ve jee bharke

Tu gaya mujhko fanaa karke ve jaaniya
Karan thought about the way Naina changed him, how she inspired him and then how Maasi Maa said that Naina accused her of changing his medicines. He broke down.
Six-seven months later
Karan was passing by Sandhya’s room when he heard her laughing wickedly.
Maasi Maa was on the rocking chair with a medicine bottle in her hand.
Maasi Maa: Naina! I feel so bad for you! Tch tch! Bahot bura hua na! Karan didn’t even imagine that I had planned all of this! I still keep this bottle safely, it reminds me of your defeat!
Karan: Maasi Maa!
Maasi Maa: Karan!
She tried to hide the bottle from him but was unsuccessful.
Maasi Maa: Yes! I did all of this! I created misunderstandings between you and Naina!
Karan: But why?
Maasi Maa: Bhai Saahab promised to make my son the heir of Bharat Industries as I had worked so hard but then you were born and my son didn’t receive what he deserved. That is why I did all of this.
Karan’s world came crashing down. The person he had trusted the most had betrayed him. But he had betrayed the person who had trusted him the most! He didn’t know what was more painful! Naina had trusted him more than anything and he had taken barely a minute to mistrust her!
He couldn’t sleep that night. He thought about her and the way he had betrayed her. He hated himself for doing this to her. He had broken so many promises! Promises of staying with her always, promises of trusting her and most importantly the promise of supporting her! It had been so easy for him to just walk away like that without thinking of her or anything she had done for him. He knew that breaking her trust was like crumpling a piece of paper, how much ever, he tried to smoothen it over, it wasn’t going to be the same again!
The next day, Karan went to the restaurant where he had first met Naina. The first thing he saw when he entered was Naina.
Naina saw him and quickly rose and walked away.
Karan ran behind her.
Karan: Please, Naina! Just one last chance!
Naina: Even, I had asked for one chance, Karan! What did you do? You broke my heart into a million pieces. What did I do? I cried alone and loved you from a distance but I never begged for a space in your life!
Karan: I am sorry, Naina. Par agar tumne apni zindagi mein kabhi bhi mujhse pyaar kiya hai to mujhe ek mauka do. I promise you will never regret it!
Naina: No, Karan!
Karan: So, you don’t love me?
Naina: You broke my heart but I still love you with all the broken pieces.
Karan kneeled down and took Naina’s hand into his.
Karan: I’m sorry, Naina! It was too late when I realized my mistake! I’m asking for one last chance! Please!
Karan started crying. He couldn’t bear to lose Naina. She was the reason he existed. She was the password to his life! He was guilty of mistrusting her but he really loved her. Naina couldn’t bear to see him crying. She bent down and looked into his eyes. His eyes reflected love and Naina knew she would be taking a wrong decision by not forgiving him.
Naina hugged him.
Naina: I love you!
Karan: I love you too!
