Sasural Simar Ka 2 fame Salman Shaikhis all set to make an entry in Maddam Sir. In an interview with BT, Salman talks about it and says, “For now, it has. I will not be a part of the show for a while. My character may return in the future, but until then I will be seen in Maddam Sir,”
Salman is hopeful that he will be seen again in Sasural Simar Ka 2 but for now, he is really excited about trying his hand in the comedy genre. “As a viewer, whenever I watch television, my first choice is always a comedy show. I have been watching shows like Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma and have been learning the nuances of this kind of acting. I am excited to do something comical because till now I have only done saas-bahu kind of drama. I am not bored of that, but I wanted to try something new. Also, Maddam Sir is a show that I have been following and I enjoy watching it,” he says.
Salman moved to Mumbai from Jaipur six years ago. Talking about his struggle, he shares, “There was a time when I wanted to go back to my parents. But I clearly remember my dad saying come only to meet us, do not pack your bags to return home for good. My parents have always supported me and I feel their constant push and motivation has helped me reach where I am today. I started off as an anchor on a show and today I’m an actor and I’m satisfied with how things have shaped up for me,” he signs off.
