Sagar Parekh shines as Samar in Anupamaa: Unveiling the struggles of the best child

Anupamaa’s portrayal of Samar, played by Sagar Parekh, has left the audience in awe of his exceptional acting skills. The ongoing track revolves around Samar’s association with Malti Devi, unaware of her true intentions. Despite his family’s efforts to make him understand, he remains steadfast in his decisions. In a recent interview, Sagar opened up about the track and his perspective on Samar’s character.

When asked about his initial reaction to the track, Sagar shared, “In Anupamaa, the storyline is filled with unexpected twists, and we often receive our tracks at the last moment before performing. When I learned about this track, it was quite surprising for all of us. Samar is seen as someone who can do no wrong, but at times, one has to make decisions that may not please everyone. The intentions may be right, but the people around him might not support him.”

Discussing Samar’s underlying feelings, Sagar explained, “In every family, there is one child perceived as the best, carrying the weight of great expectations. Such individuals face the burden of living up to these expectations, leading to frustration and anxiety during their formative years. This aspect has been a significant factor contributing to a challenging childhood. In Samar’s phase, even a grown man would find it frustrating to cope with these expectations. If you’ve seen my monologue, Samar says, ‘I have to learn from my own mistakes; I cannot solely rely on others’ experiences.’ This sentiment resonates with the youth who have experienced being the ‘Samar’ of their households. Samar is not ignorant, but he seeks a chance to make mistakes and learn from them. After all, both Samar and Anupamaa are human beings.”

As fans express concerns about Samar’s potential departure from Anupamaa, Sagar reassured them, saying, “Rest assured, Samar is not going away. The audience loves him immensely, and we wouldn’t disappoint them. Anupamaa’s USP lies in its diverse characters, and they all undergo different phases that can relate to viewers of all ages. Twists and turns will continue to keep the audience engaged.”

Samar faces a constant struggle between his family and his wife. Sagar sheds light on this dynamic, stating, “According to Samar’s perspective, if Toshu and Pakhi make mistakes, it is somewhat expected. However, if Samar makes a mistake, the entire family is taken aback. Anupamaa understands his situation and gives him a chance to rectify things. Furthermore, Dimpy’s manipulation, due to her inability to adjust with the family, adds to Samar’s dilemma between his wife and his family. The Shah family has its unique perception, and Dimpy often conveys the right message in the wrong manner.”

As the storyline unfolds, viewers can expect more complexities and emotional depth from Samar’s character, making “Anupamaa” a compelling watch for audiences of all ages.
