We know that you too must have caught the glimpse of the Indian telly memes which are doing the rounds around and are truly viral on social media these days. Popular song with Kolikaben singing ‘rasode me kaun tha’ is one song everyone is seen humming. Online content creator, Yashraj Mukhate made it into a rap and what a smashing success it is. This successful re-visiting of Saath Nibhana Saathiya has made the producers to comeback with a second season.
The show Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, launched in May 2007 was one of the most popular soaps of it’s time and has a wonderful run of seven long years. It shot to fane the character of Gopi (played by Gia Manek and later Devoleena Bhattacharjee) and Kokilaben (Rupal Patel).
Now a news channel is reporting that the show is returning with a second season. Confirming the same, producer Rashmi Sharma told the daily, “Saathiya has been a talking point since its launch in 2010. During the lockdown, its reruns were widely watched and that made us believe this is a good time to bring it back with a new season. Its recall value is still very strong. There will be many new characters and a twist in the storyline, but it will remain a family show and be driven by relationships.”
The producer added that Rupal and Devoleena will reprise their roles once again. Are you excited to see the show again?
