a few hours later. Everyone learned about Dharam’s condition, including Gaura.
“Gaura, will you go to the hospital to see Dharam?” Sindoora asked.
“Well actually… i don’t know.” She replied. “He betrayed me but I am also his mother. I will decide what to do later. But now tell me, how could have this fire started?”
“Bhavani has started it.”
“What?”
Gaura was shocked.
“Yes, Gaura. I saw this on the cameras we had set up there. You can see everything here. Bhavani is such a tricky woman, I must admit that.”
And then, Sindoora showed everything to Gaura. Gaura stared in disbelieve at the video, seeing how Bhavani locks all the doors and windows and then lits a flame to the house and trying to rescue Dharam from the fire.
“What a clever plan?” Gaura said afterwards. She has decided to put Dharam in danger and then rescue him, proving herself as the best wife he could have. Ha, ha. I can use this video against her however I like.”
“Do you have something in mind?”
“Of course, Sindoora. I always have. I want to meet Bhavani now.”
“Be careful with her. If she can plan such a dangerous plan then who knows what else she can think of?”
“Thanks for being worried about me. I will be careful with her, you can be sure. But when she sees the evidence against her, she will have no time to argue with me.”
And sometime later, Gaura arrived in the hospital. She saw the whole family there, waiting to hear some news from the doctors.
“Jai Ambe everyone.” Gaura thought.
“Baaji, what are you doing here?” Vidya asked. “Are you here to make drama again?”
“Gaura behen, Dharamji is in a very bad condition!” Bhavani said. “I am sure you have came here to support him as a real mother would do.”
“Bhavani, please come with me. I want to talk to you.”
“But Gaura behen, I want to be with Dharamji when he regains consciousness.”
“Bhavani, he isn’t alone, his family is here. So you better come with me, it’s important!”
Vidya made a gesture at Bhavani to leave with Gaura and she silently agreed.
Both women went outside and as soon as they got alone, Gaura couldn’t control herself anymore. She looked at Bhavani with anger and got closer to her.
“I must admit, you’re very good at misleading people!” She said.
“What do you mean?” Bhavani replied.
“Stop this Bhavani, just stop it! I know that you are the reason for this fire!”
Bhavani didn’t expect that.
“What? What are you saying? How do you think I will ever put my Dharamji in danger.”
“You can lie to yourself but you can never lie to me! I have evidence of your crime!”
“What? You don’t have anything Gaura behen. You couldn’t keep me in jail for a long time and now you are trying to find another way to torture me!”
“No. That’s not true. I really have evidence. And I will now let you see it.”
And Gaura played the video of the cameras to Bhavani.
Bhavani couldn’t stop staring at the video. She realized that Gaura now has a very serious prove against her and can send her in prison again in just few minutes. Or maybe do something even worse?”
Silence.
“What are you going to do now? You are under my control again. When I show this video to Dharam, he will never look at you again. You will have to forget about ever being his wife. Because no matter how hard you are trying, you can never make him accept you with your heart.”
“How do you have this video?” Bhavani asked.
“Does it really matter? What really matters is that, your life is in my hands.”
“No, please don’t show the video to Dharamji, please!”
“And why?”
“Because I will do anything you want me too if you don’t reveal the evidence.”
“Of course you will do what I want. You have no other choice, do you?”
“What shall I do?”
“I want you to help me take over the Modi mansion.”
“What? How?”
“I will tell you. You will listen carefully and do everything exactly, and i repeat, exactly as I tell you. If you try to trick me again, this time I will have no mercy on you.”
Bhavani got silent again.
“What are you thinking?” Gaura asked. “You wanted to destroy the Modis anyway, didn’t you? So why are you hesitating now?”
“Fine. I will do what you tell me. But I also want something in return. I want you to convince everyone that I am not responsible for what happened, because Vidya suspects me. And also, when Dharamji wakes up I want you to support me in finishing my plan. You have to convince him that I am the one who has saved his life.”
“If you do everything correctly, I may help you. But you must first do your job.”
“Alright.”
Two days later. It was a wonderful morning and the Modis were getting ready for breakfast. But suddenly, they realized that Sita isn’t there.
“Maaji, have you seen Sita lately?” Gopi asked.
“No Gopi, the last time I saw her was yesterday before we went to bed. But don’t panic yet, she may be outside watering the flowers or she could’ve gone to the temple.”
“No, I checked outside and I didn’t find her anywhere near the house. Wait, I will phone her.”
Gopi dialed Sita’s number. It began ringing, but the family soon heard the ring coming inside of Sita’s room.
“What’s that?” Kokila then said and became visibly worried. “Sita’s phone is here and she is not? She always takes her phone with her when she leaves, what has happened this time?”
“Maaji, I am starting to get worried. What if… What if something bad has happened to her?”
“Don’t worry Gopi. We will wait some time and if Sita doesn’t return we will do something.”
And while the Modis were trying to find Sita, poor girl woke up from an unconscious condition. She looked around and saw that she was tied up to a chair. And beside her was her stepmother Bhavani.
“You finally opened your eyes.” Bhavani said. “How are you Sita? We haven’t seen each other in a long time, have we?”
