The next day arrived quickly. Kokila was still very worried about the safety of her family. She was thinking about her last conversation with Gaura. She tried to behave as she’s confident in front of her. but truth was that, she had no idea how to defeat Gaura. She didn’t know how to safe the family from the danger in which her friend had put them in. Kokila was so immersed in her thoughts that she attracted the family’s attention. They asked her what was wrong but she kept denying. She told them all was fine. But they didn’t believe her. They knew her pretty well and could make a difference between if she is lying or telling the truth.
After the Modis performed the morning aarti, Kokila again began thinking on how to safe the family from Gaura. She was determined to find out where she kept that poison. She knew that defeating Gaura wasn’t an easy task, however she had sworn to herself to keep her family from all dangers. After some thinking, she realized she needed to find someone as tricky as Gaura in order to win.
But first, Kokila decided to go to Gaura’s room and search there. She chose a moment when her friend wasn’t in the house. She got in and began looking around carefully. She searched the whole room, trying not to make a mess and making sure Gaura would not understand something has been moved.
But of course, Gaura had eyes everywhere. Rashi had seen everything and she immediately reported it to Gaura. She was Radha’s daughter after all, she had some knowledge about how to spy on someone without being noticed.
When Gaura heard Rashi’s story, she only laughed.
“That Kokila is so naive!” She said. “Does she really think I am as naive as her and I will keep something of such importance in my room? Ha, ha. Don’t worry Rashi, she will not find anything. And you, don’t tell her that you’ve seen her. I will be back shortly and will see how to deal with that.”
And in the meantime, Kokila’s attempts to find the poison turned out to be in vain. She then decided to do the last thing left. And that was, to find someone as tricky as Gaura. But who could it be?
She felt very uncomfortable even thinking about it. She had never used such tricks to safe her family. She thought hard on it and remembered about Bhavani. Kokila knew that Bhavani is against Gaura. However, she didn’t know that Bhavani currently lived together with Gaura, again. Finally, she concluded that this is the only option to trick Gaura. Again, she felt very uneasy about this, but she knew she had no choice, nor she had much time to find other solutions. Kokila wanted to safe her family as soon as possible. She didn’t want Gaura living with them anymore. At times, she felt obligated to tell Gopi everything. About what she had seen and heard. About how Gaura had framed Sita in Bhavani’s injuries. But then, she remembered about Gaura’s threats and again thought that tricking Gaura will be the only option.
A while later, Kokila phoned Bhavani. Bhavani was surprised that Kokila is calling her. She however got interested on why her enemy wanted to talk to her and she picked up the call.
“Jai shree Krishna Bhavani. It’s me, Kokila.”
“I know it’s you.” Bhavani replied. “I have your number saved in my phone because you know, my Sita is living with you and… I mean if something happens to her, I must know.”
“I know how much you care about her. So stop pretending and please, listen to me. I want to talk to you about something important. But I want to see you in person.”
Bhavani was now intrigued.
“Wait, what? Did I heard right? You want to see me? Did you forget what I did to you? I kidnapped Sita when you rescued her from her wedding and accepted her to live with you, I tried to drown her and kidnapped your Gopi, I united with Sameera and ran away from jail only for the sake of tormenting you and yet, you want to see me in person?”
“Yes. You heard right. I want to see you. Please, Bhavani, I don’t have much time left.”
That last sentence of Kokila made Bhavani even more curious.
“Alright, let’s meet at the temple. The one that’s near by your house.” I will be there in 30 minutes.”
“Thank you very much, Bhavani.”
And with that said, the call between the two women ended.
30 minutes later, they met in front of the temple. Bhavanis curiosity was really rising by then.
“Now tell me, Kokila behen, what’s so important?”
“I thought a lot before calling you. Really, I thought hard on it. But at the end decided that you are my last option. You are tricky, you are evil, careless, you are a criminal but still, you’re the only person on earth that can safe me now. Safe me and my family.”
“What? Who do you want me to safe you from?”
“Gaura. She is torturing us again. The other day when I heard your conversation, when I heard that she had framed our Sita in the accident with you, she threatened me. She told me not to tell anyone about it otherwise my family will suffer. And no, it’s not going to be an ordinary suffering. She said she will make them consume some poison that will kill them instantly. Now I can’t tell anyone about that secret, not even my Gopi knows about it. The family keeps asking everyday if there’s something wrong with me, if there’s something that’s bothering me, but I can’t tell them. I keep saying there’s nothing. but they don;t believe me. I know they don’t, I can see it in their eyes. I see Gopi’s concern about me. Every time she looks at me I can see the questioning look in her eyes. She stopped asking already. She only gives me that questioning stare, waiting for my explanation. I tried to find the poison. I went to Gaura’s room but found nothing there. And after a lot of thinking, I made a conclusion that the
only way to trick Gaura, find the poison and safe my family, is to unite with someone that’s as tricky as her. Bhavani, i beg you to help me. No one knows about our meeting today. You are my only option. I have no time, I really don’t. Gaura will soon realize I am trying to expose her, I am afraid what will her anger make her do to my family.”
Bhavani was shocked. She had been curious about how exactly Gaura is tormenting the Modis, however since she had left to live in their house, Bhavani didn’t have the chance to talk to her and ask her about that.
She then began on thinking on should she accept Kokila’s offer to unite with her against Gaura. She recalled everything that Gaura had made her go through. How she tried to drown her, how she send her in jail after exposing her for murdering her husband. How she promised her a happily married life with Dharam but had broad Meera back on their wedding day instead. And everything else. While recalling these past events, Bhavani’s anger for Gaura began to rise up. But then she recalled every possible thing that her friend is possible of. she imagined hundreds of situations where she is being tortured by Gaura or how she meets her death because of her.
But on the other hand, she also recalled how the Modis humiliated her. How they send her in jail for attempting to drown Sita and hurt the family, how they humiliated her in order to safe Meera.
“Now it’s my turn to get you back for everything, dear Modi family! There may be some misunderstandings between me and Gaura but she has never humiliated me the way that you did! She tortured me a lot and that’s true, but you? You failed the wedding of Sita, you made her a part of your family and I was humiliated in front of the men of the village! I thankfully regained my reputation but still, you deserve to suffer as much as I did, and even more!”
“Bhavani, why are you thinking so long?” Kokila asked. “Please, hurry up, tell me are you agree? Will you unite with me or not? Will you help me defeat our mutual enemy? I know Gaura has troubled you as well, so let’s teach her a lesson now! I know, I usually don’t talk like that, I have never wished evil to anyone, but today’s situation is different. Gaura has been torturing us for so many years now, I finally want to show her her real place. But I need you for that! Bhavani, what is your decision?”
“Fine. I will help you. I will help you take revenge on Gaura! I will help you in defeating her and you will find that poison.”
