“I must admit, you are very brave Bhavani.” Gaura said. “You are the only one who actually dared to play such games with me. Are you happy now that there is no evidence against you?”
“Yes, Gaura behen. I am very glad I succeeded in tricking you. I had no other choice, you know. Why aren’t you angry with me now?”
“You are wondering if I am going to hurt you. No, I am not. And you know why? Because I want to use your cleverness in my plans someday.”
And in the meantime, Sita was discharged from all accusations. The cameras at the Modi mansion had recorded her being there at the time of Bhavani;s incident. The family was very happy of Sita’s return. But the question still remained. Sita wanted to know who had injured her stepmother and why did they frame her in that crime.
Few hours later. Gaura and Bhavani had went to the temple and were now on their way back home when Gaura suddenly said.
“Bhavani, do you see that lake over there? I can drown you in there and frame somebody else in your death. Only imagine how easy would it be for me. I have framed other people in my crimes so many times, why not do it now again?”
“Gaura behen, what’s wrong with you again?”
“Ha ha. Nothing. I am just having some fun with you. I am not going to do that now. I am just telling you how easy it is for me. Just like I framed Sita, I can frame some other person I want to get rid of.”
“So you had framed our Sita in such a crime? Shame on you Gaura, shame on you!”
Both women turned around and saw Kokila. She had obviously heard their conversation. Kokila’s sudden appearance took Gaura by surprise, but she quickly composed herself afterwards.
“Will not you compliment me for my talent, Kokila? You know, I am an actress. My profession is to create interesting plots and surprise my audience with unexpected twists and turns. My latest work is not an exception. I framed your Sita in my crime. Such an unexpected ending it was, wasn’t it?”
“Stop it Gaura! I know, you enjoy torturing me and my family, but we are not fictional characters coming out from your stories! I will not let you ruin the life of our Sita!”
“Really? And what are you gonna do? I know. You will now expose me in front of your family, in front of the whole world! My dear friend, I am afraid this is never going to happen.”
“And why?”
“If you do that, your dear sita will return to her stepmother and she will do whatever she wants with her. And this time you will not safe her. And not only that, you will lose your family and this time it will be for real. Look here, see what a surprise I have prepared for you! I will make all of them consume that poison and all of them will die in an instant. And I do mean it. So from now on, choose your steps carefully. I am not going to repeat myself. I know that your beloved Sita has returned to you and your happiness has no end. What’s more, I will have to live in your mansion from now on. I can’t trust you. I know that you love making attempts of exposing me but now, everything will be different.”
Kokila was stunned, and Bhavani was listening without saying a word.
“No Gaura, no, not again? I don’t want you to torture my family!”
“If you really want your family finally to live in peace, you must do what I tell you. You will accept me living with you. I am sure the others will not get very happy on seeing me. But you will convince them to accept me. I don’t know what a lie your mind will think of, and I really don’t care. What’s important is that, you must make them accept me. They must be convinced that I have changed.”
“Really? And how do you think they will believe such a big lie after all the times you disappointed us? After all the times you destroyed our trust? The last time I trusted you, they were very, very mad at me and they gave up on talking to me for a long time. There’s no way for them to trust you again!”
“You will find a solution to all these problems. I know that their safety is more important to you than anything else on this world. Your wish for protecting them must inspire your mind to create some acceptable excuses for my sudden appearance in your house.”
“But, Gaura.”
Kokila didn’t want to do all of this, but she knew that she has no other option. Like all previous times, Gaura again had put her into a situation where she was obligated to follow Gaura’s instructions.
Afterwards, Gaura send Bhavani home and joined Kokila on their way to the Modi mansion.
Few minutes later. The two women stopped in front of the door. Kokila began to feel uneasy. Now she had to make lies in front of her family in order to safe their life. And she wasn’t good at lying. They would immediately understand that something isn’t right. What would she do then?
A moment later, Gaura and Kokila entered the mansion. The others of the family stared Disapprovingly at Gaura.
“Maaji, what is that woman doing here?” Gopi said.
“Gopi, please calm down.” Kokila replied. “I will explain everything to you in a minute. Please!”
“Yes, Kokila, we definitely need your explanation!” Hetal added.
“The Suryavanshi mansion has caught fire recently. Gaura has nowhere else to stay and that’s why I invited her here. Please, understand me. I know, she troubled us a lot but I couldn’t leave her alone in that situation.”
“But maaji.”
“Gopi, I understand your fears. but Gaura promised she will not trouble us while being here. She will live with us for a short time, until her house gets repaired. I promise.”
The family reluctantly accepted their new guest. Kokila’s fears however were confirmed. On the first second she saw Gaura entering their home, Gopi had suspected that something, or rather someone had forced her maaji to invite her in. She did not believe that fake story of the Suryavanshi mansion catching fire.
“I will understand what’s going on here.” Gopi thought. “Tomorrow I will go to Gaura’s house and I will see if it is really damaged by that fire. And if it is not, it will mean that she is here to hurt us again. But this time, I will not let that happen. I am not going to let her hurt my family again! That’s Gopi Modi’s word!”
