And while Gaura was torturing Bhavani in jail, the Modis also had some things to worry about. Their maid Meedhi fell ill and someone had to replace her until she got better. They began looking for someone to replace her and soon, a woman came at their door. Her name was Sindoora.
“Jai Shree Krishna.” She said. “I heard that you are looking for a maid and I think I can be ideal for you.”
“Fine then, come in.” Gopi said. “Listen, Sindoora, except the necessary stuff such as cleaning and cooking we sometimes need someone to look after the children. Can you do that as well?”
“Of course I can, Gopiji. I will look after your children whenever you want me too.”
“Alright then, you can start from today. I will introduce you to the family later.”
And back in the prison, life wasn’t easy for Bhavani at all. She was worried for her life as Gaura was constantly with her and could harm her at any moment. It was a morning and the prison guard, Gaura’s friend Radhika had to give breakfast to all the women.
“Hey you,get up already.” She said to Bhavani. “If you oversleep there will be no breakfast for you. Gaura performed aarti for Durga Maa and you are still sleeping?”
“I don’t want to eat this!” Bhavani replied sleepily, not wanting to look at the food Radhika was offering her. She was used to more tastier meals before she was forced to live here.
“Listen, Bhavani, that’s the food we offered to Maa Durga as prasad so you better get some if not for yourself at least to pay your respects.” Gaura said. “I think you will need her protection here, because she will be the only one that can possibly safe you from me.”
“Gaura behen, please don’t start with your nonsense at such an early time of the morning.” Bhavani replied. “And if you try to hurt me your time here may eventually increase.”
“Stop it, both of you!” Radhika said. “I don’t want to listen to your fights right away. I have other cells to visit as well so you better compose yourselves. Bhavani, this is your second day here but you started to be mean from the first moment you came. If you don’t change your behaviour I will lock you in a cell alone. Now hurry up!”
And Radhika left.
“Are you happy now?” Bhavani said. “This terrible woman has decided to annoy me in such early hours of the day!”
“And why do you take your anger on me?” Gaura said.
“because if it wasn’t you she wouldn’t behave with me like that.”
“Listen, be careful with your words or I will really tell her to move you in a cell alone. Be thankful now that you have me.”
“Thankful? I am living in a constant fear for my life. You are not trustworthy Gaura behen.”
“That’s right. You must be afraid of me. But now you should really eat this if you don’t want to be hungry all day. Why are you staring at me like that? I know, you are afraid that I may have put a poison in here right? Bhavani, as I told you this is Prasad and also, if I want to hurt you I will not poison you, or at least not through eating. I will do something more terrifying so you can be calm about that.”
And back in the Modi family, their new maid Sindoora was alone for a few minutes. She dialed a number.
“Hello. I have so many things to tell you. First of all, you was right. That Gopi Modi is so naive, she believes everything you tell her. She accepted me so easily into the family that the first part of our plan is now complete. I know what they made you go through but don’t worry, what I will make them go through now will be even more terrifying. They will pay about all your suffering. I will take care for your enemies outside while you come back. And you take care of your enemies inside. Now I will hang up because someone may decide looking for me. Jai Ambe.”
And are you wondering who did she talk to? Wonder no more, it was Gaura. Sindoora was actually a friend of Gaura from prison. She had been released earlier and she would take revenge for Gaura since they had became a very good friends while spending their time together. They were even like sisters.
“Why are you smiling like that, Gaura behen?” Bhavani asked.
“Because eventually, everyone will get what they deserve.” Gaura replied.
“What does that mean?”
“You will see. Don’t ask too much or you will ruin the surprise.”
And one hour later, Bhavani had been allowed to go outside for a short walk when Radhika came in.
“Jai Ambe Gaura.” She said. “How are things?”
“The Modi’s destroyal is about to begin. But you tell me, are you ready for tonight? Did you remember everything I tell you?”
“Yes. Everything will happen exactly as you planned it. I found everything you asked me for. Take this and hide it very well. When the right time comes, put it on your hands and when you touch someone they will fall unconscious immediately. I will be waiting outside the window so you just give me a wave and I will take things from there.”
“Alright. Thank you very much. But what if someone suspects something?”
“Don’t worry, no one will suspect a thing. I changed the reports so it will turn out she has been released earlier than planned.”
“You are awesome, Radhika!”
“I know. Now relax and don’t worry about anything.”
And back in the Modi mansion, everyone from the family liked their new maid. Even the children were enjoying their time with her. They noticed nothing wrong about her and it seemed like soon, she would win their trust completely.
But the truth was that, the worst was yet to come. And no one would be prepared for it. Gaura would soon be released from jail, but that wouldn’t be the worst thing that would happen to the Modi family.
